There's a big digital menu above and some menus on the counter for you to order from. It's usually pretty busy and we've lucked out in getting seating when we like. Staffers are super nice and helpful especially if you ask them to come and quickly clean a table off for you. I recommend eating there when the food is freshly made. This is a new casual gourmet burger place on Main Street in Vista. I'm so happy they are there. Order at the counter and the server will deliver it to your table. Yeah it was busy on a Saturday afternoon. The menu is fantastic! I can't wait to try more of their offerings. We had four people at our table. We tried the sweet potato fries and the truffle fries. Today was our second time visiting Burger bench in Vista. It's located in downtown Vista Village on Main Street .Just like the first visit, they blew us away. On our first visit, we tried the slider trio and every single slider was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of pink in the middle and very juicy. This trip really sealed the deal for us with a medium rare, Swiss cheese, mushroom burger, and crispy tots with homemade ranch. We also enjoy the diverse beer, seltzer, hard kombucha on the menu. The burger today was so juicy and delicious, with the perfect amount of mushrooms, and the burger itself is so perfectly seasoned. You could eat this plain, and it would be delicious. But add this garlic aïoli to it that they put on this burger, and it takes it to another level! The staff is always so friendly, the place has been very clean when we've gone, and I will say the bathrooms also very clean! Needless to say, we will be back for this burger and many more! Burger Bench is a great find. There is plenty of comfy seating inside and out. The service is excellent. All the different workers at Burger Bench were friendly and attentive. We had the smokehouse slider (super highly recommended), the fried chicken slider (ok) , garlic tater tots (very good), and onion rings (close to the best I have ever had). Located in historic Old Town Vista, my daughter invited us for lunch at relatively new restaurant and what a wonderful surprise. Not only do they make everything fresh, is responsibly farmed and sourced beef and chicken, but their prices are very reasonable for the quality of food they deliver. Service was exceptional, and the staff seemed to enjoy their work, which tells a lot about the management of the operation. There's three tables in the outside patio, and the business is dog friendly. Lots of parking around old town and in front of the restaurant. As far as the burgers that I shared in the pictures, all of them were excellent, except my wife's chicken club which the chicken was cooked a little too well done but still tasted great just a bit dry. I can't wait to come out here again and enjoy another fabulous Burger and meal. I always recommend my Yuppies to always support restaurants that source locally and serve responsibly handled food that's quality. We need a lot more restaurants like this. read more

Pretty good!! Serving size for the sliders were smaller than I thought, but with a side it was filling. Sides are sold separately. The burgers were juicy and tasty! I met my friends here and we all really liked our food! We came here on a Monday night and the place wasn't packed at all. Because of that, we were able to sit wherever we wanted. The servers there are super nice, too. I got the Inferno Chicken Sandwich and it was way more spicy than I anticipated, but I loved it! My only issue was my lemonade which was a little more watery than I liked. My friends liked their strawberry lemonade, though; I'll need to try that and the root beer floats next! We stopped here for some finger foods and ordered the wings, mini burger combo, and sweet potato fries. The best thing was the sweet potato fries. The kids meal is also nice cus it comes with two sliders and fries for $9.50. 1st time here. Came with 8 people. They had no trouble accommodating all of us. Davi was our cashier and server. She did a great job recommending yummy options and was patient as we scoped out the menu. It's all about the food. Excellent burgers and salads. Stoked to have such a good place move into the downtown Vista area. It's worth the drive if you don't live close. Food quality has been super consistent. All ingredients and meals taste fresh every time. I'm not a huge fan of blue cheese but the bench burger just has a little on it to set the tone. Not overpowering. With the included bacon, grilled onions and mushrooms, arugula, and bbq sauce, it's a great choice. The bacon they use is top shelf with amazing flavor. The smokehouse is another stand out burger. Haven't tried the chicken sandwich yet but I plan on it next visit. Fries are good, the chicken used on the salads is really good. Their house made sauces are fire. Service has been good each time we've been. The help seem happy to be there vs what you see in other establishments. The person taking the orders has been supportive of food allergy issues, offering substitutions and suggestions. They have a really nice beer selection that covers about all your desires. It's only 10m away from home! Shout-OUT to the management and employees as it's been consistent here these past few orders I've made for pickup! Burgers - Fried Delights - Milk Shakes - Fantastic Salads - there is something for all cravings! The website's online ordering is great for modifications, especially the options for cooking your meat! The food is always ready, well-presented, and most importantly, delicious! Some of my favorite items I normally gravitate to are their sample sliders, Taco Burger, Truffle Fries and Tots - Onion Rings are not too shabby either with their house-made ranch! I love that the meat and buns are made with local ingredients, and that they offer some Gluten-Free and Vegetarian options as well! I have yet to try their milkshakes - they appear amazing just by their titles - Mud Pie, Smore's, Salted Caramel Pretzel... just can't seem to find room after such a delicious meal - but look forward to trying one someday - can't go wrong with hand mixed real ice cream! This was my first time and wasn't sure what I was going to get but I ended up with a 3 slider meal... I got the BBQ, Smokehouse, and the fried chicken.. and every single one was absolutely delicious. I love burger so I decided to eat here while attending expo for my work. The Parmesan fries was good, I did not like the sriracha mayo that they have, needs more sriracha.
