My husband and I try going here to support locally owned businesses in the area, instead of going to say McDonald's or Jack in the Box. However, the food just keeps getting worse and worse. I've gotten the tuna melt before and it's been great in the past but tonight, it barely had any tuna and avocado, even though you are paying extra for avocado. Their burgers are underwhelming too. I love the "bbq grilled" taste that the burgers have and haven't found the same taste anywhere else. It is a bit of a "hole in the wall", but in a good way. The restaurant is always clean and even when busy, the tables are quickly cleared. It can get busy, but the food is worth the wait. I used to love this place but they seem to have gone downhill. I came here a few weeks ago and it took a little while for our food to come out, however we were warned that it may be a wait as there were many people here and we had a group of four. So it was pretty expected, not upset about that. I had ordered a side of sunny side up eggs and to my surprise they were not cooked all the way, They were still raw on the top. Safe to say I did not eat those. I am unsure of what my daughter ordered but I know it came with cheesy eggs. The cheese on the eggs were KRAFT SINGLES. I was appalled. Truly disgusting. read more

I went two days in a row because it's one of the BEST non-chain burgers in town, if not thee best. My coworkers and I are on the hunt for the best breakfast burritos, and today was Burger Barn's turn. I had very low expectations for this place as they're a burger joint and I'm partial to my usual spot... however after trying their breakfast burrito with No Meat and Extra Hot Salsa, they have jumped to my #1 position!!! I was pleasantly surprised with the overall flavor of the potatoes and the salsa had lots of flavor and kick. Would highly recommend this place for a morning stop! read more

This is a little hole in the wall place by us, and whenever we want a burger.. we go here. It's delicious!! You can taste the grill on the patty, and the buns are surprisingly so fluffy and yummy. Staff is nice, but the cashier seemed really confused - messing up the order in front and after me. The AC also doesn't seem to be on, so waiting was extremely uncomfortable and sweaty. This restaurant is mediocre at best, and sadly the staff is not very bright. Don't give them a quarter with a ten and a 5 on a 12,25 bill and expect 3 dollars change, they can't figure that out. The also don't believe in the old saying " the customer is always right" They will do nothing to make you happy. I just had the turkey burger with blue cheese, it was fantastic. the bun was crispy on the inside! also I LOVE how you don't get any plastic with this meal. ketchup comes in paper old school cup, fries and burger wrapped in paper. Was looking for a local place for breakfast before going to a business meeting and found the Burger Barn located near my hotel. This is truly a local establishment located in a strip mall. On Tuesday morning the restaurant was not busy. The interior is large and the walls and ceiling are decorated with sports memorabilia. Also, the walls are lined with game machines. My guess is this is a hangout for High School that is located across the street. I ordered the pancake sandwich, which is not a sandwich...but a breakfast platter of pancakes, eggs and sausage. The pancakes were a little tough, but overall not bad for $8.17. I was impressed with the young lady behind the counter. She asked my name when she took my order and then remembered my name and used it when serving me. Impressive! Sometimes it is the small things that leave a good impression. read more

I am writing this review for a particular meal only. I have enjoyed the grilled chicken salad several times. I have even recommended the salad to others. Yesterday I picked up a grilled chicken salad to go. I ate about half and saved the rest for this afternoon Every piece of lettuce was rusty and inedible. 3.75 stars. I'm not a burger connoisseur, but I'll do my best to describe it. The bun was soft, which is as it should be, but there was perhaps just a little too much of it. The sandwich was medium-tall, which may or may not be to your liking. The meat itself was a little lacking in flavor. Something was missing on the patty. Maybe it needed more char, more salt and pepper; it just didn't quite pop like the best burgers I've had. It was by no means bad, but I wouldn't make a special trip to have it again. Admittedly, I'm on a mission to see this place have a solid four stars (and if all you Yelpers out there help it get to five, well then, so be it). Seriously, the TL;DR for this review is as follows: GREAT tasting burgers and dogs, GREAT customer service, at a GREAT (reasonable) price. So here's the long version. FOOD: Was soooooooooo good. I ordered the "Camarillo Burger" and let me tell you something: I highly doubt you'll find a better burger in the area. To start, their burgers have a good char on them, which fights through that deliciously tangy and oh-so buttery avocado spread enough to give it real char-broiled character. That blend of American and Swiss cheese - pure genius! The patty is meaty enough and the bacon was just enough so that you don't have to call this your typical "BACON cheeseburger". The bacon on this burger is a slightly salty and crisp accompaniment to a delicious burger. My wife got the bacon cheeseburger, and she had ZERO complaints (she also finished the whole burger, which is rare for her to do). On to the Hot Dogs here. Dude. All beef dogs which are split in half and charred to perfection (just like those burgers). You can see the char marks on those bad boys (which may initially be off putting to your kids). After I convinced the kids to "just try them", they couldn't put them down. My oldest (10) said, "This is the best hot dog I've ever had!" (That's palate maturation right there). I had to try a nibble of her hot dog, and I gotta say, touché my young protégé. That all beef goodness sweats outta that wiener and that char is really nice. Fries are.....fries. No special seasoning on them or special dipping sauce. Just your average, yet solid, side for a burger and/or fries. SERVICE: (Pandemic edition) They are encouraging social distancing and refusing service to those non-mask wearers. They have everything inside spread far out so that nobody can sit down inside (due to current guidelines). The gals at the counter were very nice to me, explaining the menu items and such. We had a "Karen" sighting this time out. The woman in front of us was practically yelling at the gals at the register that she still had $8.00 on her gift card, and she wanted them to accept it. This, despite the clear signage which stated "We will no longer be able to accept gift cards past December 2019 due to a change in card processing system". The gals up front handled her excellently, ultimately, ignoring their own signage and figuring out a way to give the woman her $8.00. If doing that doesn't set this place at four stars for service alone, I don't know what will. read more
