Copied from my Google review: I'm going to vent a bit. I got…read morea fill up today, 04 March 2025, and they charged $6.21/gallon. The EIA dot GOV websites states that the Maryland delivered to home cost per gallon as of 24 February 2025 is $3.785/gallon. Another local company, Taylor Gas, is currently as of today, 04 March 2025, $3.30/gallon. It blows my mind that Suburban is so simply robbing customers in Southern Maryland. After I called and complained, they gave me a 20% discount (now $4.968/gallon). That is still 50.55% higher than what Taylor Gas charges. If you have the option to go to just about any other provider in Maryland, maybe you should. But... but, if you have a tank with Suburban at your home that you bought with the tank already installed, you are stuck in their lease (which costs roughly $48/year). That is not bad, right? You cannot buy your way out of the lease in order to use other suppliers for much lower costs. You are stuck. If you want to cancel service with them, then you will have to get that tank remove (out of the ground) at your cost. Why can't you buy out of the lease, because their lawyers gave them the great idea to state that the tank is used and they cannot sell it to anyone. Where is D.O.G.E. where you need them? This sounds like a bad dream and it is. Suburban Propane should be avoided at all costs...

The staff is friendly but the price for propane is always a lot higher than the states national…read moreaverage. A few times it was over double the average. We had suspected gas leak months ago when we called to schedule a refill we told them we aren't using the gas this fast and they never told us they tested it at all. I found the leak myself and they came out to repair it, I lost hundreds of dollars in lost propane over a few month time and they still charged me for the repair, apparently we own the gas line running from the tank to the house. This was very disappointing because we asked them to check for a leak and they never did, we have a half empty tank AGAIN. We are billed for the repair and we are also stuck paying for all the lost gas. Sorry to say but we will be shopping around before we refill this time.
