Review #087 - 2020
While trying to find a local park to have a quick picnic lunch, I came across this little hidden gem.
We showed up at around 6 PM on Friday, May 8th.
There were a few people out sitting on the grass, walking, pushing their kids in a stroller, riding their kids, etc., so we decided to grab our take out boxes and made ourselves comfortable.
I was under the impression that Sacramento was no longer under lockdown that's why there were so many people out & about. However, we saw some posted signs later stating that the park was closed due to COVID-19. My bad for not paying close enough attention.
However, in the half an hour that we were able to enjoy our late lunch, there park appeared very clean & well kept.
There are two separate kids's playgrounds, two sets of swings, a basketball court, a tennis court and a large open field for kids to just run around. We didn't walk around the whole park so I couldn't tell how big it really was.
There were a few picnic tables here and there, but there's also a covered seating/eating area where you can watch your kids play.
There were plenty of free street parking available, which is always nice.
I didn't see if there was a restroom nearby though.
Overall, it's a very nice park. read more
