Burberry has many stores in London, but the Brompton Road one is one of its biggest, offering a very wide choice of traditional and contemporary clothes.
This high end English brand, famous for interesting designs, good quality, and of course its signature haymarket check pattern and a knight logo, manufactures men's and women's clothes of all ranges. It's particularly respected for its elegant trench coats that convey a classically British noble look.
The selection of suits and other official wear is pretty good as well. There's also plenty of stylish smart casual clothes and some nice handbags, luggage items and other leather products. Some casual sports clothes from the lines aimed at younger customers is there too.
The prices are fairly high, especially in light of the fact that manufacturing of many products is now outsourced to Asia and north Africa, although most upscale items are usually Italian made. The quality of some items of lower end lines, while still fine, is not what it used to be, in my experience. Thankfully though, they still retain the sophisticated designs and quality of my favourite high end classic Burberry collections. That's what it has been traditionally best for. read more
