Buona has a huge menu with something for everyone, Italian beef, pizza, pasta, hot dogs, and burgers so it's a solid choice if you're with a group that wants options. The rainbow ice cream was really good and they gave a generous portion, which was a nice surprise. I also enjoyed the Chicago dog, though I slightly prefer Portillo's since the hot dog here wasn't quite as snappy. That said, the flavors were still good and satisfying. Service was friendly and efficient, with welcoming employees who made the experience pleasant overall. Definitely a good spot, just a small preference holding it back from 5 stars.

Buona I feel is under credited when it comes to Chicago flavors. It might not be as big as Portillos , but they still deliver on quality. This is one of two locations I frequent, and they do very good job serving their community. The staff here are very helpful and kind. I feel welcome every time I've been for lunch/dinner. My buddy and I came here for dinner once and his car started having issues in the drive thru and we weren't able to drive it home. The manager was gracious enough to let us leave it in the parking lot over night so we could tow it in the morning. The inside is also very nice. Modern and well kept, and a solid choice any day of the week. I love getting the pizza, as it always comes out hot and fresh. The fries aren't too much to run home about, but are good. The onion rings also bang, and are a delight to the taste buds. All in all, very happy to have a location close to home in Mt Prospect. They fit in very well in the area and manage to not be overshadowed by Texas Roadhouse next door. Keep it up!

    Regular beef with sweet peppers, $9.24 = $8.49 + $0.75.

I've been in this store numerous times but apparently never reviewed. That's actually legit because my visits have always been to get a co-located Rainbow Cone as opposed to a Buona Beef product. But today, on an early Friday evening, I swung by to pick up a regular beef sandwich, and with sweet peppers it went for $9.24. It wasn't the biggest Italian beef sandwich for the dollar, but it was warm, juicy, and fresh and it hit the spot. They have a clean and airy dining room and the place was bustling also with a lot of happy TGIF diners and it was nice to see. Kayla and Lila were the welcoming and friendly young staffers on duty at the order counter. Going with 3.5 stars rounded up to 4. Thank you!

Buona is a pretty solid chain. I know a couple folks who prefer the beef here to Portillo's, but Buona doesn't have quite the footprint of their rival. I usually only get a burger here, but I might try a beef sometime; I haven't had there since I discovered it was possible for me to like Italian beef. In addition to the beef and burgers, they have pasta, salads, and pizza I think as well. I usually build from a basic burger and add on whatever it is I want since they swapped out their upgraded burger several years back--now it's some kind of avocado burger and I'm not a huge fan of avocado. Luckily it's easy to start with a burger and create your own. They have really yummy chocolate chip cookies as well, and I always have to grab a couple when stopping at Buona!

Buona Beef is a great place to have a delicious casual lunch if you're in the mood for an Italian Beef, Pasta, Salad or Pizza. I like to get the Italian Beef sandwich when I go it is excellent- get it in baptized style meaning extremely juicy - excellent. The potato salad is another one of my favorites when I go for lunch. There is plenty of seating inside and outside when it's nice out, and the workers are always friendly. We order our Christmas Eve dinner from them every year and they do a great job preparing our food. If you download their app and provide your birthday month, they will send you a free Italian beef sandwich. Thanks Bouna!

Haven't been to Buona Beef in awhile & dare I say they're better than Portillo's beef. Their beef is moist, succulent w/a flavor of garlic. Combine the giardiniera peppers w/ just the right zing on the sammich. Better than Portillo's & Buona also gives point towards redemption for food when enough points are accumulated. Hmmm I'm becoming a believer of Buona Beef They also have a Rainbow Cone & cakes if you feel the need to indulge

First time ordering from the store. The food is excellent. Piping hot n fresh . More staff at registers would make the ordering more office t. Very roomy and clean I would come back here. Right now with their app you get a regular beef for free till the twenty ninth . I have to get the app. Anyways the sandwich is very large and delicious . Fries are long fat and piping hot. Delish.

I walked into Public House expecting beer and bar food. Instead, I encountered Amanda. Ladies and gentlemen, we need to discuss the P.O.A. Index, an entirely unscientific scale developed after decades of rigorous field research conducted in bars, restaurants, airports, and regrettable weddings. Amanda is an 11-and-a-half out of 10. This is statistically impossible. She has one of those smiles that causes otherwise intelligent men to momentarily forget their own last name. A smile so radiant it could probably qualify as renewable energy. Unfortunately... she failed the Ring Check. Her left hand glimmered like the cruel punchline to an otherwise flawless joke. I briefly considered challenging her fiancé to trial by combat. Pistols at dawn. Sabers. Bare-knuckle boxing. Maybe a chili cook-off. Whatever the law allows these days. I would've won... and history remembers the brave. Now, on to Lauren. Lauren is the bartender. Lauren also committed the unforgivable crime of not swiping right on me on Facebook Dating. I wish her well, but I hope she knows she has created a permanent emotional scar that may never heal. Every time she poured a beer, I could hear Celine Dion playing faintly in the distance. My heart remains broken. The food arrived before I could spiral completely into despair. The onion rings were... objectively terrible. Hard enough to qualify as building materials. If Home Depot started selling battered masonry, these would be aisle seven. And yet... We could not stop eating them. Every ring was another terrible decision. "This one's awful." Crunch. "God, these are terrible." Crunch. "I think they're getting worse." Crunch. I've seen this same behavioral pattern in casinos. The Maxwell Street Polish was magnificent. Greasy. Covered in grilled onions. Exactly the sort of sandwich that reminds you Chicago understands things the rest of the country never will. The Chicago-style hot dog? Exactly what a Chicago dog should be. No unnecessary innovation. No avocado aioli. No artisanal truffle ketchup invented by a man named Brayden. Just an honest Chicago dog doing honest Chicago dog things. The pulled pork sliders were solid, disappearing quickly enough that nobody bothered pretending to be polite. Then came the brat... on the menu, the main topping was listed as sauerkraut. F&$@ that! Absolutely insulting. Keep your fermented cabbage and your Wisconsin propaganda. Give me onions, peppers, mustard, and enough cholesterol to make my physician visibly uncomfortable. Amanda smiled with the effortless confidence of someone who had no idea she was quietly dismantling civilization. I watched one man forget his wife's birthday, another walk into the hostess stand, and a third begin Googling engagement ring financing before she'd even asked if he wanted another Coors Light. Professional. Friendly. Catastrophically attractive. Seven stars... out of five. Lauren still owes me emotional damages. Amanda deserves hazard pay. The onion rings should probably be classified as geological formations. And I'd return tomorrow without hesitation.

Drink prices are also priced fairly low, even without specials though you can enjoy an evening for less than 20 a person if you order the daily specials. I went here for trivia night and the dining room was fairly spacious and well setup for this. The crowd was lively and service was friendly though not extremely fast. The food was alright for me -- the BBQ pulled pork sliders being my favorite with slightly toasted buns and a fairly sweet sauce. The chicago style hot dog looked good, but was too pickle heavy for me and a bit sloppy to eat. The maxwell street polish was quite flavorful and the grilled onion flavor came out well. The brat was alright as well but there wasn't much that was too memorable about it. The fries were alright for me, but the onion rings were a bit overcooked and too thin for me. Overall, the food is alright but the bar setup and value prices make this a good spot to spend an fun evening with friends. Like everywhere else in this area of Mount Prospect, you may have to park a bit further away from your restaurant and walk if you're going around dinner time.

Alex, however, understood civilization. She brought the lemon. At that moment, I decided we were getting married.
