Nice looking and clean- but no counter staff at all. You ordered via a kiosk. Ok - the food came out quickly - the burger was yummy! Moist, a bit of grease drip (always a good sign) and the fries were just - how do I say -nostalgic in a good way! And the price for the double cheeseburger and fries? Amazingly affordable! Downright a great deal! Will we come back? Heck yeah! If you're tired of overpriced McDs and Wendy's? THIS is your spot!

Despite how busy staff was with putting out order after order, I received my order within 5 minutes. And WOWZA was the kebap roll a fantastic size. If I wasn't so hungry, I would've eaten half and saved the rest for later!! The fries were a bit overdone for my liking, but they were freshly fried and made-to-order which I appreciated. The beef roll was fantastic. The ratio of meat to accoutrements was perfect and I loved the medley of sauces. I will DEFINITELY be ordering this meal again the next time I visit.

Non-native Review:…read more Busy sandwich & fast food Chicago institution. We were taken here by natives who say the joint is famous for their Chicago beef & hoagie sandwiches. The interior of this location is decorated pretty cool with old movies posters hanging from the rafters. Hungry 4 of us (3 non-locals) ordered a good sampling for our first visit & meal of the day: Salads, hot dogs, hoagie combos, drinks. Either the cashier or food preppers goofed our order a bit, but it wasn't a terrible inconvenience. One newby in our party aptly remarked that the meal combos aren't really combos per se, because you then have to specify the size of the individual combo items (such as the fries) after ordering the large (or small) combo for example. Salads also come out from a different sub-section of the restaurant. Little non-standard and confusing there for 1st-timers. The beef dip was good as advertised, pretty standard fare, but nothing about the meal or quality of such considered life changing. French fries were very unremarkable. Easy ordering kiosks or you can order at the counter like we did. With so many dog-gone dining options around these parts, not sure it would be a regular pit stop for myself if I were a local. Fair pricing board, good deal, average-y. Peace out.
