This is not my neighborhood, Buona Beef! But I do frequent the Beverly area often and my son loves the cheese pizza. So when I do stop through, I get In Italian beef and instead of fries, I get the potato salad. Washrooms are clean at this location!!! The workers are friendly at this location, but you ask for extras and your requests are ignored! As you see, I asked for extra extra green onions on my potato salad and was given very little!!!!!!! The overall portion is very small. I received like two tablespoons. My beef was also very skimpy! I also go to the Buona Beef on Golf Road or the one on McClurg in the Gold Coast. They are giving out standard portions. Not at this location! Same standard Buona Beef taste but the portion size aren't the normal portion size for the brand. This is my second visit to this location. The first had better than what I experienced today. First, my name was printed on the receipt as "PHIL" which is close... but not correct. Of course, I had already paid... Second, they really didn't have what I wanted and the salad substituted was a few fried chicken pieces, with mostly lettuce, a few sliced strawberries and sliced avocado. This location is great if you live in Mount Greenwood or Beverly but nothing over the edge to drive a long distance. I came to this Buona location for the first time today. I decided to come to this location since I needed to head to the Original Rainbow Cone in the area. I'm so glad I came. Special shout out to Kaylah (I hope that's her name. I found it on my receipt) who went out of her way to make my experience great today. She informed me that Buona does offer a beef bowl, which is a huge game changer for someone like me who can't have bread. I was also trying to redeem my birthday beef, and she made it happen by ringing me up as a regular beef but she added instructions to say make it like a beef bowl. After I paid for my fries and cheese cup, I saw and heard her tell the kitchen staff again to make it like a beef bowl, and the instructions were also translated in Spanish by another team member. I am truly thankful and appreciative of such great service. Everything was accurate and exactly how I expected it to be. The fries are some of the best I've had, outside crispy and inside soft. The cheese is melted to perfection, and the beef bowl was packaged nicely. The portion can be better, but I do love how there's a good amount of gravy to pepper ratio. I added giardiniara to my beef bowl. Kaylah was also very knowledgeable about what the regular beef already comes with. There's also free parking on premise and plenty of seats indoors and out on their patio. I don't mind a short drive, and I am looking forward to making this my new Buona location for when I have a craving. So I'm on a role reviewing my favorite Beef & Sausage Combo sandwiches in Chicago and while Buona in Beverly isn't in the Al's vs. Mr. Beef debate for the best, they make a sandwich worthy of being acknowledged. Came here after an afternoon of drinking for St Patrick's in the peculiar southside neighborhood of Chicago. The inside is pretty clean with the exception of kids and patrons from the parade leaving their trash on the floor.
