I came to this Buona location for the first time today. I decided to come to this location since I needed to head to the Original Rainbow Cone in the area. I'm so glad I came. Special shout out to Kaylah (I hope that's her name. I found it on my receipt) who went out of her way to make my experience great today. She informed me that Buona does offer a beef bowl, which is a huge game changer for someone like me who can't have bread. I was also trying to redeem my birthday beef, and she made it happen by ringing me up as a regular beef but she added instructions to say make it like a beef bowl. After I paid for my fries and cheese cup, I saw and heard her tell the kitchen staff again to make it like a beef bowl, and the instructions were also translated in Spanish by another team member. I am truly thankful and appreciative of such great service. Everything was accurate and exactly how I expected it to be. The fries are some of the best I've had, outside crispy and inside soft. The cheese is melted to perfection, and the beef bowl was packaged nicely. The portion can be better, but I do love how there's a good amount of gravy to pepper ratio. I added giardiniara to my beef bowl. Kaylah was also very knowledgeable about what the regular beef already comes with. There's also free parking on premise and plenty of seats indoors and out on their patio. I don't mind a short drive, and I am looking forward to making this my new Buona location for when I have a craving. Hard to say if I would refer people to this specific spot! bueno beef is always good especially the locations with a rainbow cone attached. This location is great if you live in Mount Greenwood or Beverly but nothing over the edge to drive a long distance. They got a large menu and for those that like this place alot, they got a catering menu and their own beef at the front counter. My girlfriend got a salad and she was extremely satisfied as well with the presentation as well as the quality of the salad when the server gave her the salad. We both left full. Came here after an afternoon of drinking for St Patrick's in the peculiar southside neighborhood of Chicago. The area is nice and we came here for the parade and what better way to finish off the afternoon than enjoy a nice Italian beef. This location is fairly large on the inside with plenty of tables. They are counter service and then they'll give you a number and bring out your order. The inside is pretty clean with the exception of kids and patrons from the parade leaving their trash on the floor. Lots of kids hanging out here I assume waiting for their parents (LOL, to be that age again). I ordered myself a regular buona beef and a side of fries. Grab a number and take a seat. The wait time is not long at all. Sandwich in hand within 5 minutes. The sandwich can be a little messy so grab plenty of napkins. The fries are thicker cut and not bad. Disappointing! My husband and I were down the street and decided to stop at this Buona location. Now, I'm sorry we did! Usually we get our food to-go when visiting the Streeterville location, but decided to eat in this restaurant since we were a distance from home. So, why was my cheeseburger lukewarm and not hot? I was right there in the restaurant so there was no reason for my burger to be lukewarm. Also, although I had a number of extras on my burger, the burger itself lacked seasoning. My husband had the Italian Sausage sandwich and said it was "alright". We both had onion rings and there was no seasoning on the batter -- whatsoever! Again, disappointing! Now the highlight of my meal was the strawberry shake. You could not taste ANY strawberries, it was milky, and it lacked the taste of ice cream. All in all, it was horrible! After about six draws on the straw, I stopped drinking. There was no sense in wasting any more calories! I spent $4.19 on a shake that was better suited for dishwashing, and it wasn't sweet at all! By the time I started drinking it I was driving home, and I was not turning around to go back for a refund. The only reason this gets two stars is because of the friendly service we received and the cleanliness of the dining room.
