So the ambiance is not top notch but the food is to die for. For people who try to think that indian and Pakistani food is the same, let Me tell tou they are not. May be the names are the same ... yes but the taste is very different and if you actually want to experience that difference then try Bundoo khan. That's All I can say. I took one star off because of service and they are not very economical and it's still a self service.

This place is a Pakistani grill food joint. The flavors are deliciously Punjabi and if you are tired of finding South Indian flavors in North Indian dishes then you probably wanna check out this place. The food at this place is delightful. I have tried chicken kabab, seekh kabab, malai boti and all are amazingly delicious. Service is bit slow and if you are carrying out it's usually 30 minutes wait. Ambience is traditional and welcoming to families. This place seems popular among families and is often crowded in the evening.

We were greeted nicely and quickly at the counter. We ordered the karahi, naan and Bihari roll. The karahi is served alone. You'll need to order naans additionally! They brought the food to our table. The hot chicken karahi was generously portioned and spice level was adequate. It's served in a takeout container though. It's nothing to rave about but it tasted good. I wouldn't order this again. Keep in mind this is "express" as the title states and is not a full fledged restaurant. Naans are a good size - fluffy Paratha is liken to a poori paratha and not paratha in a traditional sense. Rolls (sandwiches) have the option to have it on a paratha or a naan. I chose paratha. It came with 2 sauces; creamy and the other sour-ish and tangy made with tamarind. The tamarind sauce was a very good accompaniment to the Bihari roll. The Bihari meat was tender and flavorful. The sandwich was delicious and I would definitely order this again. In future, I would stick with ordering kababs, rolls and their fast food items.

Visiting Chicago - and we decided to eat here again- nothing has changed; the service is efficient, and the food excellent- especially for us who do not have anything even close to this in KC!! We got the Bihari kabob and chicken boti; both delicious: tender, juicy and with just the right amount of kick! Authentic Pakistani grilled food! Place is clean and well kept! It has never disappointed- hope they keep up the standard!

I consider myself a diehard Bundoo Khan fan. I have been going to their Chicago location for years! Yes I have gone from Naperville to the city (1+ hour drive) just to eat at Bundoo Khan. I am soooo glad they now have this location in Naperville! I of course came here on opening day (Jan 13, 2020) and their food didn't disappoint at all. It tasted just like the other Chicago location, fresh and tasteful! As with any new location and setup, they are working through a few issues (mostly technical) but I am confident they will have it worked it quickly. I'm looking forward to many more visits to come and I would highly recommend this to my family and friends. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed!!

I can now finally say the suburbs have a legitimate Pakistani style chicken tikka. Ordered tikka, Bihari kabab, malai Boti, paratha and naan. The Bihari and malai were above average. While parathas were surprisingly very good. I would rate it best in Chicagoland along with the tikka. The drawback are the wait times, took us 45 minutes to get a complete order. Also, food is served on those carry out boxes aNd you get flimsy paper plates to eat your food. I guess the great tasting/flavorful and traditional Pakistani Chicken tikka and paratha combo makes it worth it! Hope they continue the quality food and expand it to a nice sit down comfortable place.

Don't forget to grab the yogurt sauce!

Great barbecue options! I absolutely love their naan. Probably one of the best in Chicagoland area.

What bothered me was the overall vibe there. Been too a lot of Indian restaurants and one thing they have in common is they're typically very welcoming. I read a review saying the owner always greets them nicely. He didn't even acknowledge me coming in. The waiter was very nice but got me in and out very quickly. Didn't pour my water. The overhead music was more like a massage spa than a restaurant. Play some traditional Indian or Pakistani music. That's more fun. It just all seemed a bit uncaring. Food was good but would I come back? Not sure.

Sara's lunch buffet was delicious. We were greeted warmly by the staff, seated immediately, and were served warm naan fresh from the kitchen. As part of the buffet you get water and chai (both are self-serve). I wanted a mango lassi so I ordered one as well (not included in the buffet price). One thing I noticed was that all of their plates and bowls were Corelle. We use the same plates and bowls at home, so we loved that. Now on to the food: everything was kept fresh and was continually refreshed. The put out smaller, fresher portions from the kitchen so that nothing is sitting out for too long which was nice. I was able to get two helpings before I was stuffed. We also got a second order of naan, but ask the server since the naan comes from the kitchen, and is not laid out on the buffet tables. The price is great considering it's an AYCE buffet, for under $18/person. The buffet options included: butter chicken tandoori chicken aloo curry chana masala chicken briyani nihari (stewed beef) vegetable pakora basmati rice and more The buffet is great place to go if you want a variety of Indian/Pakistani food. I'm a fan!

I'd rate it on par, or even better, than San Francisco's Burmese options. Service was much friendlier here, that's for sure! Tawk was a delightful host...making jokes along with dish recommendations. Sadly, we gobbled up the food before I remembered to take photos. D'oh! I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad--a Burmese staple and a real treat if you haven't had it before. Very flavorful and just a hint of spice (don't eat the sliced peppers if you're spice-adverse, but we devoured them). We also had Shan Noodles (B8). I also recommend that. A mild to medium spice level and very tasty. Generous portions. Two dishes was enough for two though I wish we had tried the spring rolls or samosas too--we might have had leftovers if we had! The restaurant itself is inviting and clean. They did a good job considering the location in a strip mall. The lighting looks nice, and the textured walls add to the inviting ambience.

Since my nickname is Zahid and he knows how much I love nihari, he snapped a photo of the restaurant and sent it to me. I jokingly told him to bring some for the "owner" (meaning me), but I didn't expect him to take it seriously. He ended up dining there, loved the nihari, and decided to order an extra portion to go. Then he drove seven and a half hours all the way to Minneapolis and delivered it to me today. After reheating it, I can honestly say--it was absolutely delicious. I usually don't write reviews for places I haven't visited in person. However, after tasting the nihari from Zahid Nihari, I was genuinely impressed and felt compelled to share my experience. This restaurant is now at the top of my list for future trips to the greater Chicago area. Wishing them all the very best! It was still better than most restaurants I have seen but still the room for improvement is always there.
