I just had drinks so I can't speak on the food. The bartender came from behind the bar to great us and take our drink order at the cocktail table. The decorations are pretty cool and pleasing to the eyes. There was also some attractions like connect 4 and bar games to keep the customers entertained. read more

Cool place to watch the game. Good prices on beer and food. We had to Macho Nachos and they were very good. Beer was cold and 2.25 for draft. read more

When I first got there I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy being there but the bartenders were super nice and very friendly. So much space to wander around in as well! The food was great and very filling! read more

Great pub with an outstanding staff and fantastic food. TV's everywhere including the booths. Game room adjacent which doesn't distract. They had a bucket of 5 beers for $14. Try the southwestern chicken egg rolls. read more

Food was a notch above typical bar food! I had tuna salad on rye. A HUGE amount of tuna on sandwich. The cole slaw was excellent! Drinks were good and inexpensive. Waitstaff super engaged. The only downside, Only one toilet in the women's restroom. read more

Gotta say great bar! Comfy chairs and a good pour. We sat down to watch a game and they turned on every TV to the game for us. The wings and the nachos are great. accidentally bit my hand because the nachos were so mind numbing good. chicken wings were crispy and hot they give you nothing but drumsticks so you can keep funneling those wings in your mouth and keep your eyes on the TV no worries about eating a chicken bone. all muscle memory! GREAT BAR!!! EAT,DRINK,REPEAT. read more

The food here is amazing! I work as a server on the boardwalk and I send my guests to these guys for their attention to detail quality of service and the food. Colorfully decorated with classic string lights illuminating the ceiling and seams of the walls. The backlit glow behind the bar comes from a fully stocked craft beer cooler. A collection of the best songs from multiple generations ties the atmosphere together. You can play pool, you can play adult connect four, you can sit outside and enjoy the patio, or you can guess the card under the beer for a free beer! There's no shortage of things to do here but the bartenders and regulars had the best conversation in town. If that's not enough they have after hour happy hour specials! And yes they have parking!! Make this your last stop while you're out you won't want to leave!! read more

Wow...such an impressive experience at Bumstead's. My wife and I were not overly hungry so we decided every to visit Bumstead's for Happy Hour. Great first impression for sure, with clearly a English Pub vibe to it and friendly staff like a Cheers! Lindsey served our drinks and took our food order. She was nice as can be, and ensured we had everything we needed. Excellent service to say the least. Tim helped out as things got a bit busy. He has an accent like an Aussie, yet was from New Jersey ...go figure. He was fun to chat with and very pleasant!! The Happy Hour food was the best you could find anywhere. Large selection to chose from, and large portions....not the skimpy half order half price you find elsewhere where they fool you into thinking it is deal. We had blacken shrimp and pretzels. Yikes it was good. I almost wished we lived in Myrtle Beach so we could frequent time and time again!! Thanks Lindsey and Tim for your great service and food tonight! read more

It's a redskins bar but the times that I have been in there they have been very accommodating with my Miami Dolphins games. Plenty of tvs to go around. Try some of their food. This isn't your typical bar food. It's good stuff. My friends and I go in there and share apps. It's a blast read more

We were told this place served good food and a fun atmosphere, but they were totally wrong. We sat ourselves down because no one came to us. We sat down and no one ever came to our table, we waited about 20 minutes, but ended up leaving very disappointed. It seemed like they only had two people at the bar, but no one serving tables. read more

Very good, especially after a long, hot day on the beach! I had the gamecock (grilled chicken, swiss, bacon, lettuce, tomato and ranch) and it was amazing! Fries were made to perfection as well. They have a huge beer selection, and I was very happy to see Sweet Water blue on draft! Only reason I am not giving the full five stars is because I came in I guess right before the rush. There was only one person on the floor/working the bar so as more people came in our wait time increased a lot. Once a second bartender/server came in the pace picked up, and both were very friendly!! read more

Food was pretty good although I only got an app. People were nice. Only potential issue is NO employees were wearing masks during the height of COVID19. Not sure what the state requirement is, but quite honestly, I'd much rather them care enough to wear a mask in the middle of a pandemic. I choose to support the places that are doing their part to stay OPEN rather than those who don't want to follow health precautions. Place was pretty packed too - lots of drunk morons all over the place. read more

Great local bar - TV's galore. They play every game, all you need to do is ask. Great happy hour specials (4-7) daily, with other daily specials (e.g. Taco Tuesday!!) Wide selection of craft beers - most beers are in cans/bottles but a few on tap too. Staff is very personable. read more

Very friendly bar! Ok food. A few people recommended this bar for cheap drinks and great food. My sand which was good but the bar atmosphere was better. Everyone was very friendly and you felt welcomed. Great local bar with an amazing staff. read more

We truly enjoyed our evening at Bumstead's! Our small family group met up at Bumstead's, which we found via Yelp, hoping for a decent meal and drink without the flash and crowds of MB. Around 7pm on Saturday, people were just starting to trickle in. Pitchers of domestic brews were reasonably priced, especially considering the prices at surrounding restaurants here. The food was basic bar staples, including burgers, sandwiches and quesadillas, with special little extras like pineapple cilantro salsa and tater tots. The best part of our visit were the wonderful employees, who chatted with us as though we were old friends, and made us feel very welcome during our visit. There are plenty of TVs showing sports games, and they changed the one by our table just for us. I'd highly recommend Bumstead's for an evening away from the craze of Myrtle Beach! read more

Went here to catch some NFL playoff action and was happy with the decision. Food was very good, especially the homemade pretzels and the wings. Happy Hour pricing was icing on the cake as our couple of hours there were very affordable. Service was very attentive as well. Looking forward to heading back here on my next visit to MB. read more

This place is had to find but worth it. Its just bar food but we had the bbg wings which was fantastic and the hamburgers also just as good. We highly recommend this place just on this visit. The bartender was waiting on us and was very attentive. Prices ok read more

Bumstead's has a great selection of craft brews to choose from and the prices seemed rather fair, but if you're not a smoker and smoking atmospheres bother you, you probably aren't going to stay long enough to savor the wide selection of brews. Sad, really. read more

Wide beer selection, always a good porter to discover. Awesome friendly bartenders. Brings in a fun crowd. Bonus is the smoking lounge are out back with the tvs and fire pit going in winter. read more

I recently visited Myrtle Beach for the first time and I heard quite a bit about the fun nightlife that Myrtle Beach offers. So with that in mind we visited several Myrtle Beach bars and night clubs. Most were pretty fun and each offered something unique. Whether it was fun beach bars, karaoke bars, or piano bars, most of the bars offered stout drinks and a great atmosphere. But of all of these bars, Bumstead's was my absolute favorite. Not because of its crazy party like atmosphere or because its right on the beach, but instead because it offers a straightforward and consistent atmosphere with great drinks and great food. You can't ask for more than that. When you walk in the bartenders are quick to serve you and introduce you to their extensive food and drink menu. Bumstead's offers about twenty beers on tap and an endless numbers of local and specialty craft beer by the bottle. If you go you must try the RJ Rockers Son of Peach beer. It sounds a bit weird but it offers bold flavor with a slightly sweet peach flavored kick. On top of the great beer selection, the menu is extensive and the offer a great happy hour menu. Also their bartenders can mix up some great specialty drinks from off the drink menu! They offer your typical bar food with appetizers, burgers, salads, and even cheesesteaks. But the best part is that Bumstead's is partnered with one of the best sub shops in all of Myrtle Beach. Dagwood Deli. They offer these mouthwatering, meat packed, sensational subs all-day, even after Dagwoods is closed! These sandwiches are an absolute must get! Bumstead has dart boards, pool tables, foosball, and plenty of TV's to catch your favorite sports game. And because it was a bit a bit off the beaten path from the beach, it seemed to attract the local crowds giving it more of that authentic Myrtle Beach feel. This is a great bar in Myrtle Beach. If you are looking for a place that is not to touristy, has great dive bar environment, and is just a great place to have fun with friends and family them Bumsteads is the place you should absolutely try out. read more

Great Happy Hour app's and drink specials (4-7 pm, M-F). Extensive sandwich menu, 15 beer choices...everyone enjoyed their food. Friendly bartenders and staff...nice casual atmosphere. I would definitely go here next time in Myrtle read more

Great service, only okay food. Went here to watch college football during Happy Hour and got Teriyaki and Hot Honey Wings, which were pretty good. The BBQ Shrimp was decent, but i had to send the Grilled Mahi-Mahi back twice! It was watery and bland. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back, but, i'll try a Dagwood Sandwich from their adjoining deli, the next time! read more

I love my wings baked or deep fried, this place rocked it and they where reasonable. Deep fried with whatever flavor you want.

Duke!! Great place for food and huge beer selection. Plenty of tvs for sports and a great staff.

I enjoyed my time at Bumstead's I went to watch a basketball game that wasn't on the channels available in my note. I ordered the nachos, and they were very good. They have a good number of beers on tap. I had this peach beer, a first for me, and loved it! My bartender, Jason, is a really nice guy. He never let my glass go empty. They will put on whatever game you want -- my game certainly wasn't one anyone else was interested in. I give Bumstead's two thumbs up! read more

We were trying to find a place to watch the game so I quickly yelped a sports bar and this place came up. Was a little hesitant upon entering due to the cigarette smoking but was able to cut into the dogwood deli area where there are multiple big screens TVs. We randomly selected 4 items off of the menu- wings, jerk shrimp quesadilla, Philly cheesesteak, and a northern sub. Every single thing we had surpassed my expectations. This place is great! My party appreciated the variety of beers they offered and my mother loved the margarita. Overall this place is a hit! We love this place and will make sure we include this spot when we visit again. read more

This place is great!! Good atmosphere! Great bar good! Lots of TV's. There is smoking inside of that bothers you. Have been here for lunches when it wasn't too crowded....smoke wasn't too bad either! I'll come back if I'm her in myrtle beach! read more

Went here after reading it was the local Redskins bar. Wanted to check it out and see if they had the Washington Capital's game on since it was opening night. Each booth had an individual tv so you could watch what you wanted. We started with the nachos and the mushrooms. Both were amazing. I ordered the hog poind sammich I think is whatever they called it. My lady ordered the French dip. Both sandwiches were really fresh. The only reason I can't give this more than a three is the service time. We were there to drink and watch the game as well as eat but we went along time after the food was delivered before anyone asked if the food was good (we were finished) or if we needed anything. After ordering another drink it took a while to get any more service so we decided to get the check. Overall the food was great but again service was slightly lacking. I did enjoy the Redskins vibe. #HTTR read more

Good food and great beer selection. Unfortunately, came here to watch the game and they don't have HD boxes so part of our game was cut off on the screen. Sad face. read more

I've been coming here for many years, I love the food and the beer selection and anytime Stephanie or Jason is working this place is 5 stars all the way! They give the best service and anytime they are there your in good hands. Today I walked in and sat down, almost 10 minutes pass by and the two ladies working didn't even acknowledge us. They were to busy playing on their phone and talking with a guy sitting at the bar. I even asked the girl with the curly black hair for a menu and she totally ignored me. It sucks because I love this place and I hate to even give it 4 stars, but if you don't see Jason or Stephanie there just turn around and walk out. Those two girls working today sucked and if I was reviewing them and not this place I would give them 0 stars. read more

A great craft beer bar, but the food is even better. A favorite locals hangout located in the heart of Myrtle Beach with some of the best service around. Ask Alyssa for the turkey roast beef swiss combo sandwich, between her and the sandwich you can't go wrong. Darts, pool, ping pong, golden tee and silver strike. You won't be disappointed. read more

Finally a real bar in Myrtle Beach. Locals hangout with super reasonable prices. Bartenders and staff very friendly. Beware bring on your hungry. This place sells crazy super size sandwiches at a small meal price. I had a sandwich that could feed a family of four. GF had a side salad which was a meal in its self. Order the pretzels but you get 5 and won't be able to eat them all. Not sure how they make money by giving the food away. Had a great time. Thank you read more
