I got lost driving through Hillsboro and Beaverton and happened to come across Bumper Burger, a food truck that was a great find. The burger was absolutely delicious, made fresh to order, and worth the stop. There was plenty of parking, the staff was super friendly, and the food was outstanding. I'll definitely be back if I'm in the area again.

A burger and fries is one of my absolute favorite meals. And when you get a really good one, it hits every time. And just WOW, these burgers are GOOD. And so are the French fries and fry sauce, as well as the brownie for dessert. Honestly, what more could I want from a burger meal? Absolutely nothing. My husband picked up the food and brought it back home for us. Service was great and the location is totally random but beautiful and peaceful. What an interesting place with incredible food.

I came to Hillsboro to visit family and friends and one of them recommended we go here. The first thing I noticed was how welcoming they are! The food is amazing too, I had a single patty cheeseburger which comes with tomato, lettuce, ketchup, mayo, mustard, and bread & butter pickles! The patty was seasoned to perfection and the fries probably top any burger joint fries any day of the week. Views of nature are amazing here, they also have an indoor dining area where you can also rinse your hands.

As always, amazing ! This new location is even closer to our house than before! Ok. Use your GPS cuz you'll never believe this fun burger truck in the countryside. Follow the signs to the greenhouse and keep going. The bright yellow truck is parked but now they have a permanent awning, and even indoor seating in the greenhouse next door for rainy days. On this bright sunny Saturday it was so fun to see a lot of families enjoying a picnic. Now the food is amazing!! For $13, The People's Meal, you get a half pound cheese burger with all the toppings, hand cut fries, brownie or cookie and a cup of kool-aid! I get The People's Meal in Training which is a quarter pound burger (1 patty) for $11 with all the sides. Delicious, juicy and made to order. You can't beat this!

First time- really good burger cart. Had a 50/50 burger meal. The burgers are seasoned well, cooked perfectly, cheesy, and fresh toppings. Really enjoyed the fries and their fry sauce. The brownie cookie was a nice treat to finish with. We'll be back- great job!

By far my favorite burger I've ever had at any establishment. They are showrunning what a burger at its most basic should taste like. If you like a classic cheeseburger with a side of fries this is the spot to go. I cannot recommend this place enough! 10/10

50/50. It's basically a double cheeseburger. I added pimento. It's delicious enough without it.

Easily my top parking lot burger experience. Make sure to stay on top of their website to know where they're going to be, they're a food truck so don't expect anything fancy. They are very casual. They also have very humorous things decorating their truck ( check out the wanted dog ad). The staff ( possibly owner ) has a lot of fun and makes it feel like an amazing experience. If you've ever seen the movie "Chef" it is very similar to that experience. The food is made with a lot of passion, and it shows. The price point is amazing. It's easily the best deal you can get on any burgers around here, and they are amazing! You get top quality lettuce, tomatoes, great pickles, and of course the beef and bun are top notch. Many competitors charge twice the price for a lesser burger. I have a suspicion the owner is doing this out of passion and love and not looking to make a huge profit because I don't know how they keep the prices so low. The fries are crispy and very addicting. Try not to over eat on these, it's very easy to do so. My only regret in discovering this place is the damage it's going to do to my arteries. But I strongly urge anyone nearby to give them a shot!

Got the people's meal. They ran out of koolaid so the bumper burger gentlemen asked me if I wanted refund for the drink portion or supplement with other items. The workers were super friendly and upbeat even for 30 mins before closing. Really helps the vibe and mood when first thing is a great atmosphere. The burger looks and tastes very homemade which is amazing. Also the fries are super crispy, seasoned and good. The cookie was also delicious. I'm amazed that I got all of that for about $10. Seems like the best bang for your buck especially in this economy. Definitely worth way more than $10! Mad that it took me so long to try this place when I live in the neighborhood next door lol. Will definitely be coming back frequently!

I love the vibes at Bumper Burger!!! The dude who served us was exceptionally friendly and helpful (I didn't catch his name). We ordered cheeseburgers, fries, and kool-aid. There was something so nostalgic about the burger even though this was my first time eating it. The balance of crispy lettuce and onion with the melted cheesy patty was perfection. And the bun was plump! I wouldn't recommend dining in as they don't have seating. Most people seemed to take the food to go or eat in their cars. Pro tip: order online to minimize your wait time!

Ask the Community - Bumper Burger

So what are the hours of this place I can't find it anywhere on the website or on the Yelp page or anything I'd like to know when they're open and not waste a trip all the way over there for nothing?

The best way to keep tabs is to follow bumperburgerpdx on Instagram. He is pretty good at updating via his feed. He mentioned major truck repairs that required he close for November. Hoping to have number burgers again soon!

The bun is smaller, less plump and airy. Likewise, the hamburger meat is smaller, less juicy, less vegetables, where did the crinkle cut long pickles go? Why is there less sauce on the burger? Why are there less vegetables? It's like elements of the burger are being rationed. "Gradual changes are less noticeable over time, but they're still noticeable to the keen observer." --Albert Einstein Biting into a Classic Double used to be like biting into a large juicy apple. It used to be so big it was difficult to wrap your teeth around it; it was difficult to hold in two hands without it falling apart, stuffed with meat and vegetables, dripping with grease and cheese, that's what made it brilliant and excessive. A treat for when you wanted the perfect hamburger. "Yesterday's hamburger was equivalent to a small hockey puck served from 'Burgerville' or 'Jack in the Box'." --Wayne Gretzky I've been noticing a slow and steady decline in KB since they reduced the size of their burger boxes and started charging for bacon. As the packaging got smaller, so did their portions. The cooking wasn't good on this last visit either. "Well Done" by my definition means just the meat patty, it doesn't include cheese and bacon. If you overcook cheese it evaporates. Overcook bacon and it turns into brittle sticks. "Well done" simply means we don't want cool or tepid raw meat at the center of our burger. If you cook past well done, it becomes "extra well done", "overcooked" or "charred". My recent burger was overcooked when I asked for well done. "I currently rate the KB burger (3/5) and fries (3/5). The KB burger used to be (5/5) perfect." --this reviewer (10/10/2026) So, how does this compare with your competition? 'Five Guys' has the best fries (5/5) perfect fries, but their burger is (3/5). 'In-N-Out' has the best "mid" product (4/5) for both burger and fries, but now I'd rather eat at 'Five Guys' or 'In-N-Out' because their quality is better, and they're cheaper now too. KB used to be the "premium hamburger" option both in terms of cost and quality. These last few monthly visits to KB have me thinking they've stopped competing with 'Five Guys' and 'In-N-Out', and are now competing with 'Burgerville', 'Jack in the Box' and 'McDonalds'. If that's true, they're going to lose a lot of customers. I hope they figure it out.

Ordering is at the front counter. One of the first things I want to make sure I say, is that all the employees were incredibly kind and patient. It's all crazy manic orders and trying to deliver them and deal with the turnover, but you wouldn't know that from how they treated us. The burger my son got was good. Emphasis is on the meat and cheese, with just a bit of pickles and sauce to cut it. If you like the smash burger style, you'll probably like this. I'll likely try the deluxe next time. I was a bit disappointed by the fries though--they're the same as the standard frozen curly fries you'd get anywhere else, so if you've had those, you know exactly what these taste like. They're still fries and thus not bad, but a bit of signature seasoning or a more unique sauce would go a long way in spicing them up. (I think they want you to get these loaded, but I'm generally not into that) Didn't run into any poor service that older reviews describe, though I do wonder what sort of interaction people are expecting out of a food cart.

Double Deluxe ($12) - This is a simple two smashpatty burger with onions, pickles, American cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and sauce. The patties aren't super smashed, probably still being around pencil thin in thickness. They still have a good amount of char especially around the outer edges, creating a caramelized meatiness and charred crispiness. They aren't dried out as some smash patties get, and they still have a good meaty and very black pepper forward flavor. I think the cook was a too rough on one end of the patties, causing the burger to fall apart. It's not great service to give out a patty where a large chunk has separated from the main body. The burger has more than enough moisture and texture from the fresh veggies and sauce, and a good amount of pickle acidity to balance the fat. The main issue I have with the burger is the bun. While it's lightly toasted, the bottom bun slice in particular is completely soaked through, most likely a result of the chopped onions not being drained properly. A soggy bun is not fun to eat. Other than that, the burger is pretty tasty and well balanced. (3/5) Wolf's Head Burger House serves a decent smash burger that's marred by technical flaws. While I'm not sure it deserves their current rating of 2.9 (too low), I personally wouldn't return.
