Josh and Daniel came to my home right on time and thoroughly explained both the products and the procedures which they were going to use. I have pets, and I was worried that the cleaning solution might adversely affect my pets. I had no reason to worry, however, and the guys allayed my fears. Josh and Daniel finished the job in less than two hours. The many years' worth of stains and soil were completely gone! It was like they performed magic. She let me know it was $20-$30 per linear foot. I sent over the exact dimensions of my couch and asked for confirmation that this project would be $260 at $20/ft. She replied and confirmed this pricing an estimate. Fast-forward to today and our cleaner (who was absolutely wonderful and had nothing to do with this) let me know that the project would be $25 per foot and that is the only option offered. Now, this isn't a crazy difference In price, but I feel extremely misled from my email exchanges with Katy about the price. I gave Katy a call while our cleaner was here to clear up any confusion about the price. She didn't answer for 15 minutes. When she did answer, She immediately got defensive over the email exchange sighting that I was being hypothetical about the price for the project. I told her that she confirmed the $20 per foot at $260 and she was not apologetic about the confusion and instead was aggressive with me, saying that I was putting words in her mouth. I asked her if they could do this for $20 per foot as she noted in the email, otherwise I was not gonna move forward. She said that she was gonna look into it, but then completely switched up and told me that she just didn't want to do the project anymore even while the cleaner was there, wasting my time and his. Economically say that I have never had such a bad interaction with a business before nonetheless a local business that I wanted to support. I truly cannot believe 1) the business was willing to mislead me on a price when I felt I was very clear in my email exchange and 2) treated me the way they did on that phone call. I work in marketing, and work with a lot of consumer complaints and questions. Even if you don't agree with the customer, it's important to hear them out, understand where things could've been misinterpreted and offer a solution. The fact that she didn't do any of this and instead attacked me and just cancelled the job while the cleaner was there was absolutely absurd. Again, none of this has to do with the cleaner himself as he was wonderful and tried his best offer resolutions so we could get the job done. My complaint is specifically about the office manager, Katy. I hope that this business can take this seriously and really learn treat their customers with respect. If they reply to this is anything like the reaction over the phone, they're going to be defensive and say that I'm in the wrong. If that's the case, they truly did not learn from this review. We chose the added pretreatment and the Scotch Guard treatment, which enhance our carpets. These treatments are worth the extra cost. Many of our neighbors can believe how old our carpets are. He and his partner Armando got out there with a professional, van sized wet vac by 9AM, and had removed 1000+ gallons by 11:30. He was courteous, careful with the tenant's property (and cat), and kept us informed of the process and steps needed to solve the problem. Benjamin left a bunch of strategically placed fans to dry the carpets overnight, and will return tomorrow to clean and sanitize the carpets (to prevent mold). STALKING & THREATS! FEMALES DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME!…read more I booked carpet cleaning services with MAK cleaning. They rescheduled for Jan 11th. The guy who was supposed to clean called and tried to make up an excuse as to why he needed to reschedule again stating he was in Colorado Springs. I am not sure why they booked cleanings so far apart if they couldn't arrive on time. I told him that wouldn't work and I would book elsewhere since I can't keep pushing large furniture around since they stated they refused to help with that. I tried to call the owner before the "tech" arrived and he didn't answer, so I texted him with no response. The "tech" came (something tells me the "tech" was actually the "owner", he showed up late. He smelled like cigarette smoke & refused to wear shoe covers when I offered them (documented on my entry camera) He was making weird comments however, I thought that might be a cultural thing since he had a heavy accent. I personally clean my carpets once a month and have them professionally done a couple times a year. I asked why he wasn't vacuuming before steaming (which I have had my carpets done enough to know that is standard practice.) He shrugged my comment off. He then smeared green paper confetti that was in the corner which streaked all over the carpet. I had to run to the store and he said he had at least an hour, so I told him I would be back before then. He was clearly in a hurry to leave before I returned and refused to wait. The carpets were left in awful shape. There was black soot all over, green confetti smears, pet treatment was not done, he was also supposed to do the bottom entry grout cleaning and didn't and clearly scraped up the floor in the entry. I texted the owner on Jan 12th to let him know they needed to come back and fix everything. On Jan 12th they stated VIA Text "Also no need to make a payment until Wednesday when we come and re-ro" Then on Jan. 15th they demanded payment in advance of redoing the carpets. The owner proceeded to make threats VIA text including "putting a lien on my landlord's property." The owner lied and said the tech said my carpets were in terrible shape which simply was not true, since I take great care of my carpets and event sent them photos of my carpets on Jan 9th as proof. On Jan 16th my neighbor Betty called me, because she informed me they parked across the street and walked over to my home and were stalking and taking pictures of my home outside & the front door. It made her super uncomfortable as well as myself. I have since noticed the earrings in my nightstand were missing. I told them to stop contacting me, however they continued to do so VIA text message. I should not have paid them, however I wanted the harassment and stalking to stop, but it has not. They denied my payment through their payment link but continued to demand payment & threatened a lien on my landlord's property (even though it is past the Colorado States Deadline.)
