We brought our Mastiff to train with Sit means Sit in the hopes of a more social and behaved girl…read more She unfortunately missed some of her socialization and developed a fear of unfamiliar people. They worked really well with her, gave her time to settle in. When I would drop her off in the am we greeted in a nice friendly way by Scott. Robert took her every morning and walked her around. I mentioned she was leery of the techs going to vans in the parking lot and he got her out there to observe them. Kendall her main trainer was a positive force for her and she really likes her now. (This is big for this girl and her fears) She has become more focused and listens much better. Took her to pickup curbside on our way home from class, normally she backs away from the curbside employee or tries to go up front. Today she sat nicely in the car, watched them and didn't try to get away from. Big improvement. I look forward to watching her become even more confident with her group classes. Highly recommend!

We were so lucky to have Josh as a trainer to work with our mischevous pup. He's enthusiastic and knows dogs really well, and his guidance is much appreciated. Josh is always willing to spend a little extra time after class to go over the nuances of training with us. We now work with Kendall who has been super helpful with pointers on how to sharpen Piko's skills. All in all, an excellent staff.

Having adopted Ellie recently, she did not have the best manners, and really had not undergone any sort of training her whole life. We knew she could use the extra help with some professional training. She had poor leash skills, jumped up on us and strangers all the time, and chewed objects around the house. After the two week training camp, Ellie is basically a different dog (see YouTube video below from her second week of training camp). She has great leash walking skills, responds very well to "no", will sit in "place" (her bed) and stay, and is all around a better behaved dog. We even had follow up lessons with Jonathan to make sure we know how all the training commands and techniques worked and to help us stay on top of it. Jonathan was nice enough to even work with our other dog and give us tips for him. I would definitely recommend San Antonio Dog Training Co to friends and family and believe the price is very worth it (Yet their prices are much more reasonable than many local training camps). https://youtu.be/LMe1qWVPWkY

These two have had a few extended visits while I've had to travel for work and they've always been well taken care of. Sadly Monroe passed in the fall of 2016 from some sort of autoimmune virus, but she was a great dog all the rest of her days after training.

This is my favorite PetSmart in the San Antonio area. I've never used the training, but I frequent…read morethe store for pet supplies. The most impressive thing for me here (and what keeps me coming back) is the friendliness of the employees. They have always been friendly when I've visited and helpful to get me the food/toys/accessories that I need. They also seem to know a lot about different animals, whether cats, dogs, gerbils, or fish. As far as inventory, I think they have some of the best variety of items and the best stocked shelves of the local PetSmarts. I can find a good selection of items whenever I go in. I believe you can also have items delivered if they are out-of-stock in the store, but I've never had the need to do so as I can find what I want in-store. Another viewer mentioned that it smelled like urine when they went. I think they may have arrived just after an accident because I've never had issues with it smelling bad when I've gone. It's usually very clean for what I expect at a store with frequent four-legged visitors. I'm especially happy that they have partnered with Animal Defense League to do their adoptions. They've expanded their adoption center for both cats and dogs to include bigger and nicer cages, as well as play rooms where you can take the animals out of their cages and interact with them. Overall, a great place!

I can't say enough good things about Arfordable Dog Training. When I first adopted my dog, he…read morestruggled with excessive barking, demand barking, and reactivity, and I felt overwhelmed trying to help him on my own. From day one, the Arfordable team was fully invested in his success. We started with a 6‑week 1:1 program, but day training ended up being a better fit for my schedule. After only a few sessions, his barking habits were significantly reduced. Even with how stubborn and difficult he was in the beginning, they never gave up on him. They gave me the confidence I needed to handle him in social settings and never once made me feel discouraged. Thanks to their guidance, patience, and consistency, he even earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen, something I never imagined would be possible when I first brought him home. Fast forward to today: he lives for Playcare. He adores his best buds and his favorite aunties, and the joy he has walking through their doors says everything. Arfordable goes above and beyond with their attention to detail between themed days, dog birthday parties, Secret Santa, and group outings. All the little touches that make this place feel like a second home. When we're out of town, I never worry. I know he's safe, loved, and cared for as if he were one of their own. Arfordable has played a huge role in shaping the dog he is today, and I'm endlessly grateful for the care, dedication, and heart they put into everything they do. Thank you, Arfordable, for loving my boy like family and giving him a place where he truly belongs.

We took a six week class which I felt was helpful, but he did need some basic obedience and we enrolled in that class. They taught us how to train our dog to sit , stay, wait ,place as well as learning how to go to his designated space for down and settle. I felt the instructors were excellent. I can't remember all their names, but Fab was excellent. when Rudy graduated from his class, he got a certificate and had a graduation picture taken. Right now I feel that I need to work on these basics before I enroll him in intermediate class, but when he's ready, I will definitely go back.
