I left my last vet office in tears because I literally got scammed and disrespected so hard, so switching to CityVet AH and being given such good services by a genuinely caring team was a breath of fresh air! The payment system is flexible, which is very nice, especially if you have pet insurance. The receptionists have always been timely in sending me everything I need for my claims. The vets are very considerate and good at explaining their findings in an easily digestible way. There is a mutual respect: The Vet respects your wishes and doesn't push when you decline something for the moment, and you respect the Vet's expertise if it's something that they say needs to be done. It's about putting the animal above all else, and I've always felt on the same page with the docs. I never feel pushed into making an unnecessarily expensive decision. Important to know: Your appointment time is serious to the staff, but they are an URGENT CARE CLINIC as well!! If an animal comes in for a dire emergency before yours can be seen, obviously they're going to save that animal first!!! The delay because of an event like this has never been too long in my experience! Seriously, no more than 20-30 minutes. The staff are really on top of things here.

I have been using this dog boarding and grooming retreat intermittently for the past three years…read more Recently, I boarded two of my dogs for three days, which included playtime and grooming for my standard poodle, as well as a bath for my teacup yorkie. The online booking process was quite easy. Unfortunately, my last visit was disappointing due to overbooked grooming services and poor check-in communication. I received multiple calls with various frustrating excuses, including one that said they couldn't find the paperwork detailing the grooming style I wanted for my poodle and another that cited staffing shortages. These were just a couple of the reasons provided. I received these calls while I was at work, which was exactly why I had boarded my dogs--to avoid interruptions unless absolutely necessary. Since I remained in San Antonio, I expected better communication and reliable follow-through, especially given the high costs involved. I wish I had been informed from the start about the issues so they could have been addressed while I was not in the middle of giving presentations. After all my troubles, I was offered a 10% discount on the grooming, but they ultimately did a subpar job. I am very disappointed with the staff I spoke to, including the manager. I didn't want to express my frustration immediately, so I waited three weeks before posting this review.

THEY ALMOST KILLED OUR DOG!!! We left our Silky Terrier Coco with them for a week while we were on…read morevacation. During our vacation we called multiple times to check up on Coco. They told us every time that she was doing fine. When we returned to pick her up she had severe bloody diarrhea and was almost comatose from dehydration and she had lost 3 pounds in one week! She had to spend 2 weeks in the hospital on a IV and have a feeding tube for 4 weeks because she was to weak to eat. This cost us $6,600. But the worst part is her kidneys failed because she was neglected so long by them and now the vet says she only has 6-9 months to live...
