We highly recommend working with David. We have done group classes as well as private sessions with him. He is very knowledgeable, reliable, and patient. We have learned so much from David and our malinois have progressed very nicely under his guidance. We appreciated that he took into consideration what we wanted to focus on in each of our sessions. His attention to detail made a big difference in our movements and outcomes. Especially loved his analogies to help us understand certain concepts:)

I'm so glad that my husband, puppy, and I found David. We had some really stressful behavior issues with our collie that were not improving with another trainer, and David's instruction was invaluable in turning it around. He is a patient and thoughtful teacher, and he taught us how to communicate clearly so that our dog could give us the behavior that we wanted. Our relationship with our dog is so much better now for both us and him. Thank you David!! Forever grateful :)

Having adopted Ellie recently, she did not have the best manners, and really had not undergone any sort of training her whole life. We knew she could use the extra help with some professional training. She had poor leash skills, jumped up on us and strangers all the time, and chewed objects around the house. After the two week training camp, Ellie is basically a different dog (see YouTube video below from her second week of training camp). She has great leash walking skills, responds very well to "no", will sit in "place" (her bed) and stay, and is all around a better behaved dog. We even had follow up lessons with Jonathan to make sure we know how all the training commands and techniques worked and to help us stay on top of it. Jonathan was nice enough to even work with our other dog and give us tips for him. I would definitely recommend San Antonio Dog Training Co to friends and family and believe the price is very worth it (Yet their prices are much more reasonable than many local training camps). https://youtu.be/LMe1qWVPWkY

These two have had a few extended visits while I've had to travel for work and they've always been well taken care of. Sadly Monroe passed in the fall of 2016 from some sort of autoimmune virus, but she was a great dog all the rest of her days after training.

Please do not take your dog to this facility under any circumstances…read more My dog was injured twice in just three weeks while in their care--both times severely enough that he needed sedation, stitches, antibiotics, and pain medication. When we first started using this daycare, I noticed frequent billing errors and miscommunication, but I tried to be patient. Then things became more concerning. Three weeks ago, I boarded my dog while I was out of town. Within hours, I got a call saying he had been injured by another dog and had to be rushed to my vet for stitches. That alone had me seriously considering canceling his membership. But I decided to let him finish out the final week we had already paid for. On the very first day back, just hours after dropping him off, they called me again: he was injured--again. This time, they tried to blame him, saying he "escaped from his crate." Their stories kept changing, and I never got a consistent or honest explanation. Even the district manager admitted she didn't believe the injury was caused by the crate. When I spoke with the owner, it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. He was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional--yelling over me, refusing to let me speak, and at one point told me, as I was crying over the phone, that he wouldn't "sit on the phone and listen to me cry" and that I needed to "pull myself together." I've never been treated with such disrespect and coldness. Since sharing my experience online, multiple people have come forward saying similar things happened to their dogs at this same facility. I trusted them with my dog's safety and well-being, and they failed him twice. Please don't make the same mistake. In response to Dogtopia and their comment, you only covered his stay because I demanded it. You also are responsible for his care so taking him to the vet because of his injuries caused by another dog is not going above and beyond. We were out of town so would you just leave him to suffer in his cage? You also state that his second injury is from escaping from his cage but if his cage was latched properly that would have never happened. I would also like to add that the vet said both injuries resembled each other they were just in different locations. This is not from trying to get out of the cage which your district manager Amanda agreed!
