When I first adopted my dog, he struggled with excessive barking, demand barking, and reactivity, and I felt overwhelmed trying to help him on my own. From day one, the Arfordable team was fully invested in his success. We started with a 6‑week 1:1 program, but day training ended up being a better fit for my schedule. After only a few sessions, his barking habits were significantly reduced. Even with how stubborn and difficult he was in the beginning, they never gave up on him. They gave me the confidence I needed to handle him in social settings and never once made me feel discouraged. Thanks to their guidance, patience, and consistency, he even earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen, something I never imagined would be possible when I first brought him home. Fast forward to today: he lives for Playcare. He adores his best buds and his favorite aunties, and the joy he has walking through their doors says everything. Arfordable goes above and beyond with their attention to detail between themed days, dog birthday parties, Secret Santa, and group outings. All the little touches that make this place feel like a second home. When we're out of town, I never worry. I know he's safe, loved, and cared for as if he were one of their own. I brought my 80 pound lab, Rudy, for Dog Training classes. I first enrolled him in the reactive dog class Since he lunges and barks at other dogs, but basically leaves people alone. We took a six week class which I felt was helpful, but he did need some basic obedience and we enrolled in that class. They taught us how to train our dog to sit , stay, wait ,place as well as learning how to go to his designated space for down and settle. I felt the instructors were excellent. I can't remember all their names, but Fab was excellent. when Rudy graduated from his class, he got a certificate and had a graduation picture taken. Right now I feel that I need to work on these basics before I enroll him in intermediate class, but when he's ready, I will definitely go back. read more

Arf is the best training and boarding option we have ever used. We can leave our beautiful, gentle girl with them for board and train or for boarding without worry. It feels good knowing she is happy to go in their door and happy when we pick her up. No guilt trips from her for Arf stays. The handlers are trained professionals. It's important to know they put the dog's health and safety first. You won't see untrained kids herding dogs around in a big nervous pack. The trainers at Arf are in control; they apparently enjoy what they do and so do the dogs. read more

I switched my dog, Susie, to Arfordable from a big name doggy day care and boarding place when I saw that Jenny and Jessica offer so many great specialty training classes here. I first needed them for boarding over Christmas, (that year when all of Southwests flights got cancelled) and while we were stranded far away from our furbaby for longer than planned, Jess and the crew spoiled our dog, and she came home happy and less stressed than the "other" place we used to use.  Soon after Xmas and for the last (almost) 2 years, we started going thru Arfordable's beginners thru advanced and even therapy dog training classes. I have learned so much about how to work with and help my dog, and my dog has continued to love learning new tricks and habits thru these classes and practice.  She spends about 1 day a week in playcare, and she is always SOO excited to see all the trainers. We used Jenny at another facility for our first Dane and Isabelle for our second. When I found out they were now part of Arfordable I knew we were going there to train Dane #3. They can handle all sizes, all issues, and their day play and train package ensures we stay on track, training is reinforced, and that we have a tired pup that is exposed to other dogs and humans in a healthy environment. They still attend vet visits with us when possible to help our puppy with stranger danger and vet fears utilizing positive reinforcement, vet prescribed meds and muzzle to keep everyone safe. We have also used their personal trainer option for our 2nd Dane that has developed behavioral issues with other dogs. Just like with kids it takes a village and their staff is fantastic. Be very cautious before signing up with this dog training facility. My experience was frustrating and disappointing due to their manipulative and careless business practices. They scheduled training sessions without confirming whether my dog's records were current, then canceled at the last minute--often via text with just 24 hours' notice on weekends--blaming the lack of records but offering no solution or accountability. Despite these cancellations being on their end, they still charged me and refused to refund or roll over the credits. When I tried to address the issue, I was met with a complete lack of ownership or flexibility. It's clear they care far more about getting paid than about your pet, your schedule, or your wallet. I strongly advise thinking twice before committing your time and money here. There are many other trainers who will treat you--and your dog--with more transparency and respect. read more

My Roxy is obsessed with this place! ALL the trainers and care takers are awesome! They are patient and give my dog all the love/attention and corrections she needs. Our boy had an incredibly hard first few months of his life, and for the first time in my life around animals I knew we needed professional help to give Teddy what he needed to thrive. He went to Arf Academy's three week "boarding school" as we called it. I was so, so anxious about this decision - both for his well being and for my financial investment! Best investment I've ever made. Teddy went in a very frustrated, very fear aggressive, and very dog scared pup. He's come out as a completely dog obsessed, friendly, well mannered, more patient boy. We as his owners learned SO much from their daily report cards, videos, and pictures - guiding us with his learning journey each day. We are completely better equipped for him and his needs, all thanks to the trainers here. We went to his weekly Friday group class training and getting to witness the bond he'd formed with the trainers was so awesome. We were sent home with equipment, guides, one on one classes to set up, and classes to join for a few months. Teddy is a much happier dog and I am a much happier dog mom knowing what we did for him, putting him into the BEST board and train program around, was a smart move. Also the fact he goes home with one of the owners every night and not just left in a facility? We're already preparing to board him again instead of trying to make something else work - and I've never trusted anyone before to board one of my animals! We recently moved to another city in Texas, but had to leave a review for this magical place for our dog. We first heard about Arfordable through our trainer, Raven who is the sweetest person ever and is AMAZING with our dog. I would like to note she now works here too. We met the owners, Jenny and Jess, two of the most hardworking women you will ever meet. You can tell from the very moment you walk in how much they love working with dogs and enjoy their jobs. My dog thinks coming here is like going to Disney World. He also has celebrated all of his birthdays at Arfordable for the past three years. He is obsessed with Aunt Jenny's dog-approved cakes. My dog also participated in AKC training, had a couple of private lessons with Jenny, playcare (at least once a week) and boarding. We have a spicy female corgi and when we decided to get a new puppy we knew we would need help integrating the new puppy with our female. We were lucky to find Jenny at arfordable dog training, and she came to our house for one on one sessions with our puppy and female. We have learned and benefited so much from their experience and patience. It has been a year and a half and our puppy is now CGC, CGCA, CGCU, CGC novice tricks, certified and soon will be certified as a therapy dog. I met Jessica in 2016 when we adopted two sibling rescue puppies who were under socialized and would not have done well in a basic obedience class setting. She came to our house and created a plan for us to teach them (and us) the skills they needed to be successful in their basic obedience and how to work on their social skills. I had two other dogs already at that time and she came back to help us work with all 4 of them together which was amazing! They all still love their Auntie Jessica and so do we! We have taken group class "refresher"courses over the years with Arfordable Dog Training to stay on top of things and our pets board with her at Arfin' About Town when we need to leave them for any reason. Jessica is an amazing caring dog trainer who helped us get our family of three dogs, ready for our newest addition, a newborn baby. She worked with us and our dogs to make sure we would have a smooth transition. I wish I could give zero, but I can't. I wanted to like afordable dog training, but the lady (when me and my husband talked with her) initially said that she would have to put my dog down if my dog ever were to bite her. This was after describing the entire situation me and my husband were in with our newly adopted German shepherd. To me this is unacceptable because as a dog trainer you deal with this stuff on a regular basis. The trainer did not have anything positive to say about me and my husband's situation which was also very telling about how she, Jessica, was as a dog trainer. Since talking with the trainer (without the trainers help), we have managed to break my dog of her behaviors that we thought we would need help on. The trainer does not use the e-collar which I was against in the beginning, but since my dogs transformation it has been a blessing in disguise. I wanted to really like this trainer but she definitely disappointed us. If you're in the same situation I suggest looking elsewhere. I wish it could have worked out, but it did not. . read more
