Before the first visit or prior to traveling, I can schedule a meet-and-greet. As a Chihuahua and a rescue, it takes a while for Charlie to warm up to new faces. Jessica, the owner, ensures that the sitters are a match for him. They quickly learn his personality and routine. They are caring, responsive and trustworthy. They truly treat your pets like family! It's easy to talk about the great service Snagglefoot provides when things go well. Where they really set themselves apart, however, is when things go wrong, as they did on our recent weekend away. One of our dogs got desperately sick with a gastrointestinal issue, and I cannot say enough positive things about how Liz, John, and Denise (that day's sitter) handled the situation. It was truly above and beyond! When the dog sitter calls and you're 6 hours away, it's an uneasy feeling. But Liz has such a kindness about her - and a sense of humor! She puts your worries at ease, demonstrates a willingness to help, and does so with patience and concern for your pet. We are so thankful for Denise who first found the disaster, cleaned the initial mess, calmed the sick and stressed-out dog, while still managing to take good care of the other two. We are also incredibly thankful for Liz and John, who arrived soon after to assess the situation. When she called me, Liz immediately offered to take the sick dog to the vet (at 4pm on a Friday). She then administered the first round of medications and rearranged her Snagglefoot schedule so she could stay overnight at our home. It meant so much to us that she'd be available if the dog continued to be sick overnight and to administer the next round of meds in the morning. It also meant a lot that Liz and John cleaned around the house *again* prior to our arriving back home the following night. I whole-heartedly recommend Snagglefoot for your pet-sitting needs! On any given normal visit, you will sense how much they love getting to know your animals. And on those rare occasions when things don't go as planned, you can take comfort in knowing that Liz and John will care for your pets as if they were their own.

But, having moved recently, we didn't really have that option. With a short trip this past week, we needed an answer, and quickly. Enter Snagglefoot Dog Walks & Pet Care. They met with us on a Sunday and talked about our cat and dog. We went through a Q&A worksheet about their habits, daily routine, etc. It was really in-depth. And by the end of things, we felt very comfortable leaving our pets in their hands. Once we were out of the area, we got text/picture updates of each animal every day. And we had details descriptions of each day when we returned. AND, they also did things like getting the mail, bringing in garbage cans and the like for free. Stephanie came to our house to do a training session with our newly-rescued 5yo Border Collie mix…read more We told her that he was as sweet as could be with our family, but had issues greeting guests, walking, meeting dogs, passing bikes, passing cars, and mouthing/nipping when he played. She quickly identified that he was incredibly food-motivated, and training began! We have been implementing every technique she demonstrated to us over the past two months. I can happily say that we have seen incredible improvement in our dog. He no longer lunges and barks at dogs and cars. Instead, he sits and waits for his treat (hot dog) until they pass. He responds remarkably well to "leave it" after using the training she showed us. Stephanie came incredibly prepared with her own treats and even another dog in the car! She spent a good amount of time with us, and only left when we were comfortable with the training techniques and listened to all of our questions for quite a while. He is greeting guests better and better every day and we now go on relaxing, virtually pull-free walks twice a day. This is a fantastic value for the quality of training.

The staff was very friendly and seemed sad that Karli and Shiloh were leaving, which made me feel good about the time they spent there, knowing they were interacting with the staff often enough to know their names after their friest visit. I also appreciated receiving their daily report card upon check out. In DC where I recently moved from, playtime is as an extra expense, but is included here. I enjoyed the video cameras in the play pen/yard so I could check up on them and see they were OK. I also appreciated that they received a bath the morning I picked them up. My two girls will be going back to Pawderosa for boarding and probably some for day care days here and there. Thanks for a great experience from a doggie mom new to the area.

Today our dog Amelia was brought in for daycare at the Schertz location. Upon my husband picking…read moreher up we where informed they where training new people and my dog was NOT fed her food. When my husband came home with Amelia I was told this. I then called and was told ¨Oh yeah she had a couple treats and because YOU bring food that needs to be kept cool we forgot to feed her¨ For three years we have fed her Fresh Pet when we bring her to day care. This totally throws off her feeding for the day. She cannot eat after 7:00pm for she takes Oral Vet for dental and cannot eat after taking this. I was also told ¨well our Mang. knows this¨ Next day care day I told them she is going for free since YOU did NOT provide her basic needs.
