I take my senior dog here after they wouldn't let me take her to PetSmart or Petco for grooming because she didn't like being kenneled. She gets very scared. I took her to Four Paws and I found that they don't kennel the dogs. I also let the staff know of my dog's needs and sensitivities so they take great care of her. We have an almost 1 year old Labrador, Willett. He is fully intact and will be until age two. Four Paws' patient & knowledgeable staff chatted with me on the phone for 30 minutes putting all my fears and concerns at ease before we visited for day care and then boarding. Their commitment to small group play is intentional. Their well trained staff is not phased by the changes of my puppy from toddler to teenager. Willett is fun but RoWDY and EVERY time he is greeted like he is the only pup they wanted to see that day. We do drop in day care and have boarded for 6 days and then again a few months later for 2 weeks. Special requests for food prep? When I picked him up he was still in a very good mood so I know they took good care of him. His tail was not shaved but I did ask if they can cut it and they had no problem doing so ! FourPaws Inn took wonderful care of our three dachshunds, Maverick, Coco, and Lil Bit. We were sent pictures of them and text messages concerning how they were doing to assure us they were doing well. This was the first time all three were boarded so we were a bit anxious, especially for Lil Bit as, due to her age and physical limitations, we knew she would require more care and closer attention. We will not hesitate to board them in the future as they did so well with exercise, sleeping arrangements, feeding, and receiving medication. The staff was wonderful to work with regarding each dog's unique personality and needs. They were very accommadating and not hesitant to take care of three demanding dachshunds. I was able to get my dog in for some grooming today and this facility was amazing! My pup is a long hair breed which requires some trimming. The staff were friendly and accommodating with my concerns about where to trim him. He hasn't had a groom in a few months and he came out looking super handsome! Dropped off our two boys for a day of daycare, we were set to tour the daycare when we picked them up. I cannot stress enough that these dogs were practically in a shelter, each dog barking at each other in direct view of one another. the room we walked into was loud, and most dogs looked stressed . my heart dropped when I saw my two boys inside their kennel with no water laying down on the concrete floor with no blankets or bed. it is clear why this place doesn't have cameras. my dogs were dehydrated and stressed when we picked them up. i'm sure this place is great if you don't actually care about your dogs mental health. just tour the place before taking your dog and you'll see what it is. read more

I recently made a reservation for my pet to stay at this waiting facility. The person who answered the phone seemed quite cordial and pleasant, and I was placed the reservation for my pet to stay for seven days. On the call, I explained all the services that I would need which was boarding for the days and nights. I was asked to bring my pet's food and his play toy, and I would be all set. We agreed on the rates for boarding which included a military discount, and I was happy. The next day I packed up my pet with food and his favorite bone and brought him over for the week at the Inn. I returned to the Four Paws In on time and picked up my pet. At check out, I was handed my billing for the invoice on two sheets of paper for payment. It included extra charges for services I didn't request or needed. When I asked what the charges were I was told it was so that my pet to play with other pets. I listened with some skepticism. I asked myself, really? But then I thought, I had better talk with my spouse to be sure. I was thinking she might have made the request. So, against my best judgment, I decided to pay the invoice first, and was definitely going to ask my wife to be sure. I took my pet home, and after it settled in I decided to bring up the surprise on the invoice. I asked her if she had requested the additional services after I made the lodging appointment and her response was genuinely, no. She then politely asked me to request a refund. We decided that the best thing to do was to ask for the refund in person and not over the phone. So I returned to the business and explained the situation to the person I met at the desk. The staff wrote down my phone number and the details of my issue. She then politely informed me the owner would be best to speak with, but she was unavailable because the owner was at lunch. I left. I returned the next day and I spoke with the same person I met on my first visit. I asked her if I could speak with the owner and she said would not be in all day. The staff informed me that she had given the details of the issue with the invoice to the owner, and she could not speak to what the owner plans to do. She was quite apologizing and she asked if I could come back tomorrow. The next day I saw that I had missed a call. The caller left a message, and I decided to listen and return the call. When I called I asked to speak with the name left on the voicemail and was transferred. After waiting a few minutes I had finally, caught up with the owner. We began the conversation with her pretending she could not understand the details of the message. So I promptly explained. At first, she presented a plausible "someone else made the arrangements for the additional services" to which I asked, who. She explained that maybe my wife because she made the reservation. I received a long explanation on my pet's previous stays and services that they provided in the past. I had to remind the owner that none of that mattered. Now we have to address this most recent stay and the services I requested for the stay. I the end the owner conceded that my spouse nor me for this matter had not authorized the additional services charges. First the owner proposed that they would remove my daughter's information as the owner and make me the owner. That implied that my daughter made some kind of arrangement in the past. Additionally, they wanted to leave the charges as is, plus they would make the clerical changes they should have made when I made the reservation. I politely rejected their proposal because No one while making the transaction requested the services. I informed the owner that I as their customer I expect to be listened to, and I was not responsible for any clerical error they might have made. Therefore, I needed the charges reversed and any additional amounts refunded. The resolution. The owner angrily decide to refund the extra charges and demanded I give her my credit card information. Surprised I asked, "Over the phone, you want me to give you my credit card information over the phone?" Suspiciously I declined. I am in comfortable giving the details of my credit card over the phone. Angrily the owner "cordially" invited me to "not take my pet there again". I smiled at her words I said, "Please, do not cordially invite me anywhere. There is no need as I have chosen not to patronize your business any more." The owner hung up and... Silence. read more

Four paws in needed a copy of her rabies vaccination. That is all that they asked me for so I provided them with that. The day before powders appointment they call me and tell me they need proof of her kennel cough vaccination. My bet is closed on Friday so I was unable to get that for them. They should have let me know that they needed that record long before her appointment had been made and they didn't they are ridiculous. This really upset me that they didn't let me know what they needed completely until the last minute. I don't apologize but I don't recommend them either because they don't notify you of all requirements ahead of time. read more

I called Four Paws to schedule an over night boarding for my two dogs, and they were so friendly and professional on the phone. Very helpful and provided a lot of detailed information! The prices are reasonable (they also provide military discount) and the facility is IMMACULATE! They have a large field for dogs to run in, and the over night crates are HUGE! When I walked through the facility it smelt so clean, and the dogs looked so happy! Again, everyone was so friendly and professional (you can really tell they love animals!) My favorite part is that they send you an email daily called "Tattle Tales," and it includes pictures and a report card of your dogs! The pictures were actually beautiful, and it gave me peace of mind to know that they were happy. (Posted the pictures in my review.) The staff is super friendly and they really do care for your fur baby! When I walked in for an initial tour and pricing information the staff was having a meeting about heat stoke signs and prevention in dogs and humans which was very comforting knowing how hot Texas can be. They made the day care assessment process super easy too and our pup definitely had a good day of play because she was exhausted when we got her home. It's been a few years but we left our dog and cat here for a week. Upon our return we noticed our Boston Terrier was quite thin. I sent an email message concerned that our 20 lb dog looked so thin in 1 week. They said they fed her treats and 1/3 cup each feeding. I told her we feed her 1 cup twice a day. My dog is 20 lbs and not a large dog but not a tiny toy dog you only feed 1/3 cup a day. We end up taking her to Assured Vet for boarding. read more

When she receives a bath from here, she smells great, and the smell can stay for weeks. The staff is easy to talk to, and they are helpful when we might have questions. I recently boarded my fur babies here while we took a road trip to Delaware. My pups were spoiled, the staff kept me updated (whether my child has two legs or four, i worry about them.) ---they had a large space, and they even got to run out in the field. My mother, who also traveled with us boarded her dogs at Northwood Vet clinic - one of her dogs came back with 3rd degree burns on her paws and the other (15 years old) had a severe reaction to being over vaccinated because Dr. Woods new tech doesn't trust 5 way vaccines so she gave the elderly dog an extra bordatella. My mom regrets not boarded at Four Paws. My dogs have ZERO health issues after boarding with Four Paws.The girls were meticulous in their care of my fur babies. read more

Staff is not friendly. Every time I spoke to the receptionist. She was acting like I was bothering her n would give me attitude and hang up. I took my dog here. Ended up paying extra vet fees. They said he tried to escape. Broke 2 teeth and almost all his nails to the bed. I tried to ask simply what happened. And two staff members jumped down my throat. I'm not sure what went wrong. My dog is very mellow and calm. I even spoke to my vet, and she said it was so unusual for my dog to do that. He always goes to converse pet hospital for boarding but they were booked and went here instead. Big mistake! The vibe there was awful and not pet friendly. I ended up paying double the amount and now more vet bills. Usually every time i pick him up, hes so happy. When I picked him up from here. He was depressed. I will never go here again!!!! read more

I'm so paranoid about my pets' care. I currently have a daily pet sitter that checks in on my pets. Unfortunately she doesn't do overnight visits and her backup was booked. So we took our doggies to Four Paws Inn. I asked them a lot of questions and also did a facility tour. Everyone I had contact with was very nice and professional and understanding of my paranoid pet mommy ways. The facility seemed very clean which was impressive. Both of my dogs were happy to see me when we got them and immediately came home and slept. They seemed content! We even called to check in on them during our trip and the staff were nice and gave us a status update. Prices were good and I have no complaints!
