Literally there are soooo many comics in here (maybe even a million?). Long boxes full of older and newer comic books (rarer ones are behind the counter). It can get a bit overwhelming since there's soo much to go through but I could literally stay there for hours digging through them. There is nothing fancy or anything inside. Strictly comic books, sport cards, and action figures (although I saw some old game cartridge in the back). This is owned by an older couple who have been doing this before some of you were even born. Ended up scooping up a few comic books that i wanted as a kid. Prices are fair as well. It's set in the 1920s with the Harlem Renaissance as the backdrop]. The first issue came out in November 2018, but I didn't stumble across the series until 2021. I enjoyed it tremendously and became obsessed with finding an original copy of the first issue to frame. Thus, I embarked on a journey to find it and after hitting up a bunch of comic shops in the city, to no avail. Months later, randomly, I decided to check out Galaxy Comics after meeting a friend for coffee, nearby, in the area. This was not in my original tour but I wish it had been. Not only did they have the first issue of Bitter Root, they had the next four too. Of course, I bought them all. Since then, I've been back a few times to stock up on comics. The vibe there is super chill and the staff really know their stuff. It's not the closest shop to me but I keep going because they always have what I'm looking for... even the older, harder-to-find titles.

The display cases are full of gaming cards, and there's a line of tables for card gaming, and the comics they do hAve are so packed in the wall shelf that they're almost bending from the weight and pressure of the book. Also they never get any variants. All the variants they would get are sent to their Flatbush location because they sell for more there. Despite everything, this store is nice, because they're so helpful and those two old folk are just adorable.
