Bulacan bakery is a Filipino bakery that offers great selection of bread, pastries, desserts. They accept cash or card (I believe minimum $10?) Plenty of parking, it is located next to Island Pacific Supermarket and PhilHouse. Small space, looks old, people come and go.

Small little Filipino bakery. I come here all the time to get my chicken empanada fix. They are even kind enough to warm them up for me when I ask. Everything is super yummy from the pan de sal to the Turon and karioka . You really can't go wrong with anything. I do recommend taking cash as there is a minimum if you choose to use card.

We stumbled upon this wonderful bakery in Vallejo about a year ago and I still can't stop thinking about their delicious pork buns! Sometimes the craving is so strong we have to cross the bridge just to satisfy it. We tried a few of their other items and there are several more we intend to try as well, but the them pork buns? Snacky snack snack! And with a little sambal? Heaven.

I've tried several things from here but the stand out are the I've crinkle cookies. Like OMG!!!!! Perfectly sweet and buttery, slightly crisp exterior and pillowy soft interior. I have to stop myself from getting another pack too frequently. They're delicious!

Bulacan Bakery is a very decent Filipino bread and dessert shop. It's a small bakery but with plenty of freshly baked goods. My favorite is their bitso bitso because it is only $1.75 a piece and it's huge! It's like a beignet but the dough is flavored with margarine (?) and sprinkled with sugar. I also always buy their ube or cheese breads, and they actually last me a while without expiring or tasting stale. What I really appreciate is the unique flavors of baked goods they offer. For example, they have a variety of strudels (mango, pineapple, guava, cream cheese) and literally almost all of the common and popular Filipino desserts (karioka, bibingka, turon, and many more). I'm quite disappointed with some of the negative reviews here regarding their customer service. I am not a frequent customer here (maybe only once a year visit) nor do I speak Tagalog to them, so I'm literally always a new customer to them, but I've always had a pleasant experience. There is no indoor seating, so I don't really understand the high-quality customer service experience that reviewers are expecting from this bakery.

If you're in the mood for some Filipino baked goods, this is a great spot to pop into. It's in an old shopping center, which houses a Filipino super market (Island Pacific), and a bunch of small restaurants up and down the strip. I like their empanadas, cream cheese rolls, and cream cheese bread. Okay, I'm just a sucker for cream cheese. Their turon and karioka are good too, but the turon tends to sell out early. The karioka are huge and they have a great chew on the inside, with a sweet crisp glaze on the outside. The sweet cream cheese rolls in the glass case have a similar look to the ones at Portos except the outside has a glaze instead of sugar. They're chewy if you try to eat them room temp/cold so make sure you throw them into the air fryer to crisp up for optimal taste. They're good but sometimes the glaze is way too thick, even warmed they're chewy and overly sweet. It's hit or miss! They offer a few different flavors but I haven't tried them yet. The cream cheese bread is sooooo soft and fluffy and super filled with cream cheese. These taste like stuffed Hawaiian rolls and are so delicious with a little smear of strawberry jelly. Even without the jelly, these rolls are perfect with a short trip to the microwave or air fryer. Even warmed, the cream cheese is melty but still holds its shape without getting all over the place. These are on the wire racks along the well, and they come in a few diff flavors like pimento cheese or ube. You get 9 pieces for $6 and some change. If you want something savory, definitely give their empanadas a try. They have chicken or beef options and cost about $3 each. They're pretty chunky so I think they're worth the cost. The crust is buttery and flakey, and so good once warmed in the air fryer. They're nicely filled but the flavor is pretty light. The chicken is shredded and you get a good mix of veggies inside - mushrooms, carrots, onions. It's a little sweet though. The beef is ground and you get a similar mix of veggies, except no mushrooms but they add raisins. I take the raisins out though, not a fan. If they made a spicy option, I'd be all over that. I wouldn't go as far to say this is my favorite Filipino bakery, as they keep a small selection of baked goods only, however they're a good option if I need a quick fix. If there's any thing to take away here, I'd say it should be get an air fryer if you don't already have one so you can warm up all your goodies!

Just walked in to see their choices of baked goods. My daughter in law wanted Sapin sapin ... a multi colored sticky rice cake dessert. The store doesn't have a lot of Filipino delicacy displayed , so i asked the lady at the register if they have what I was looking for. Without even making eye contact she said "Wala" !!! It means none! So we left .

Pork bun with bones inside. Be careful when eating!!!!!

In some ways, finding a great new restaurant is like finding a great new love affair…read more When you 1st hear of a place, your interest in stirred,When you see pics or videos of the food,it's like the butterflies one gets when infatuation begins. When you finally arrive at the restaurant and the food is everything you thought and hoped it would be,you get this smile that never goes away, just like a great romance. Finally when you think back to the time you spent at a restaurant and the joy and happiness it brought,it's similar to reminiscing about a beautiful time spent with a loved one. 3 Star restaurant in Vallejo is my latest love affair. I first heard about this place on social media when a few prominent food bloggers reviewed this spot and said their wings were the best wings outside of the legendary wing spot located in San Francisco. So I watched the videos and saw the pictures and I was truly excited to try them out. Well Mothers Day rolled around this year and I needed to bring an appetizer to my mothers party we were having that day in American Canyon & the idea of finally trying out their legendary dish was my entire focus. Driving down from Sacramento to get this dish wasn't the easiest of drives on a holiday but I was determined. I called my order in and as the saying goes, the worst the service the better the food-well I was pretty sure my food was going to be legendary based on that phone call. I ended up ordering both the Garlic Sauce Wings($15.95) and the Salt & Pepper Wings($15.95) This restaurant shares a decent sized parking lot with multiple tenants-so parking is not an issue. The neighborhood isn't the best part of Vallejo but I haven't had any issues yet with car security during my visits. When I arrived the restaurant was pretty busy but I noticed a worker had a full table that was full just for To-Go orders and I walked up to her and she handed me my receipt so I could go up to the cashier and pay. 5 minutes later I was in my car totally engrossed with the smell of this amazing chicken. I consider myself a true chicken wing expert and when I say these wings were pure flavor bliss-I truly mean it. The garlic sauce wings were a mix of sweet and savory and garlic with a slight spice-a wet wing experience that makes my mouth water just thinking back on. The salt and pepper wings were perfectly seasoned and a bite of that wing paired with the onion and Jalapeno toppings that come with the dish, can only be described as pure excellence. The chef truly has mastered the recipe and cooking technique on both of these dishes. Fun fact-due to various events in my life,I've had to drive to the Bay Area a few times since Mothers Day-I've been to this restaurant three times now in less than a week-I would say the love affair with this restaurant is burning quite hot at the moment.

Hubby found this restaurant and so we drove to the place. First thing you'll notice once you enter the restaurant is the warm temp inside - no AC but they have electric fans going on. To the right is a long shelf with a variety grocery items while the table seating is laid out in the center. TV was tuned in to a channel playing a Filipino movie. This is a "turo-turo" style food ordering, meaning no table service instead you go to where the dishes are cooked in large portions (which is towards the back of the restaurant) and you choose which ones you want. We ordered: Pork Sinigang - a little too sour for me but this is a classic Filipino soup with pork ribs, vegetables, and tamarind broth. Bistek (beef steak) - thin slices of marinated beef before smothered in a deeply savory sauce and topped with golden-seared onions Pork Adobo - classic Filipino dish of pork simmered in vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic Kaldereta - goat meat stew I didn't try the kaldereta but all the other dishes were good and delicious. You will definitely feel the Filipino hospitality here. Street parking. Maraming salamat! Review #3929

We originally went for the viral Ilicano Empanadas, those did not disappoint either. I cannot say I can finish two and I'm a big eater too. The spiced vinegar served with them cuts the richness of the deep fried goodness. ProTip...make sure you get the bits of picked onions and peppers in the vinegar to add a nice bite to the already delicious empanada. It's a mom and pop shop so don't expect five star decor but it does have a homey touch. It is ALL ABOUT THE FOOD...you can't eat the chairs and tables

This review is for their empanadas only!…read more I've tried several empanadas in the Bay Area, from a gas station in Daly City to private sellers I've found on social media! Out of all of them, this empanada was probably my least favorite one. My mother & father in law are from the Philippines and they agreed. These are really stuffed with meat but they were really dry. The egg was also fully cooked, I prefer a soft runny yolk. The ratio was probably 50% meat, 30% mung bean, and 20% papaya. It was just sooo dry, you definitely needed to drench that in vinegar to get through it. The outer shell was really crispy though! + points for being able to order & pick up same day! A lot of places you need to order in advance.
