If you live near this gym and need 24/7/365 access then this could be a good choice for you. When you sign up they give you a key fob to get in. There is an alarm on the door that goes of if two or more people enter with a single fob opening the door. They have signs saying they check the camera and will deactivate your fob if you let people in or don't rack your weights. Parking near the gym is limited and tight. If you park further away towards Preston Road then there is plenty of space. If the restaurant under the gym is busy then you will have to park further away and walk. In the evenings the gym can get very crowded with mostly high school students. The early mornings are not busy at all. There is not much space between the equipment. They lock you into a two-year contract and force you to pay bi-monthly. Each payment comes with a processing fee which could be cut in half if they would just allow monthly payments. The management claims that the customers prefer bi-monthly payments as an excuse to refuse monthly payments. It seems like they could be getting a kickback from their payment processing vendor. I suspect this because I asked if I could prepay for a year in advance and got no response. All in paying with a credit card you are going to get charged $22.72 bi-weekly adding up to $45.44 per month. When I was a member at LA Fitness in McKinney I was charged $37.88 per month. This gym costs more than LA Fitness and has much fewer features. You really need to consider that as the LA Fitness in McKinney is 15 minutes away and is not open 24/7/365. It is a trade-off between quality and convenience.

Called them back thinking it was a mistake and they explained they have a 30 day cancellation policy and if I reported to my credit card company they would send it to collections. Absolutely insane management style exhibited by this place. They tout they are a local family owned gym but the owner lives in Austin. Other staff was friendly. Gym equipment is very old and subpar and it was always packed but that's what you get from a cheap gym. Can't wait for better gyms to open in this area.

All things considered, this place feels like the small business it is and you get the sense that your money means something here. When we originally joined, our family membership was around $280/month, and we were under the impression that our rate would be grandfathered. Since then, our dues have continued to increase and are now approaching $450/month for our family of three. I understand that costs increase over time, but when membership dues increase this significantly, I also expect the services and amenities included with that membership to remain consistent--or improve. Instead, I was just informed after my spin class that Life Time Frisco is eliminating spin classes altogether. This is extremely disappointing because spin is one of the primary classes I regularly take, along with yoga and strength training. The variety and quality of classes have always been a major part of what justified the cost of our membership. There have also been other frustrations. This summer, we went to the pool on a Sunday afternoon expecting to be able to order food from the café, only to find it closed with no one working. There have also been multiple occasions when the dry sauna has been out of order. Any one of these things by itself might not seem significant, but collectively they are frustrating when a family is paying nearly $450 every month. We've remained loyal to Life Time for years because we have genuinely enjoyed being members. However, other gyms have continued to reach out to us, and at this point we are seriously considering whether it makes sense to switch to somewhere that provides more value for the price. When the price of a premium membership continues to increase while services and amenities are being reduced, it's difficult not to question the value. I really hope Life Time Frisco listens to its long-term members and takes a serious look at whether the experience being provided still matches the premium price being charged.

This is a great gym for any time of the day workouts. There are a few treadmills, stair climbers, cardio machines to the right when you walk in. The turf is massive and they have wonderful strength equipment. The locker room is clean and pristine!! They also have amenities and showers if you are booking it to work after. If more up close and personal training is what you are looking for they have that and it is a low key environment so you get the 411 and the lay of the land. I enjoy having this as an option when I want to do my own thing. If you are self sufficient in the gym this will be your vibe. There are boxing classes too in the early mornings and after work.
