Upon assessing the issue, Optimal Plumbing suggested that we call APR to handle the rest of the cleanup. I emailed Bernice at APR, who promptly replied. We then talked by phone briefly so that I could further explain the situation. APR dispatched someone within a hour. Tim and another gentleman were excellent to work with. Tim explained what they would be doing in terms of assessing the crawlspace to help prepare an estimate. Furthermore, he explained how the rest of the process would play out if I chose to move forward with their quote. He was the perfect mix of friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. APR was able to send me an itemized estimate within 2 hours of Tim's visit, and I was happy to move forward with their (very reasonable) quote. Tim and the other employee returned the next business day to complete the cleanup, and they did an absolutely phenomenal job. My crawlspace looks better than it ever has before, and they were very respectful of the rest of my property while getting the job done. Not a single thing was left behind. Following the cleanup, I also communicated briefly with Cindy about options for paying the invoice, and she was just as friendly, helpful, and responsive as the other employees. Overall, we were highly impressed by APR. While I hope I never need to use their services again, I would not hesitate to do so. A+ all around.

During the cleanout process, Paul noticed that the vent inside the dryer (not the vent and hose to the outside) was not properly attached. Apparently, when we had the dryer installed during a move a couple of years ago, the installer jury-rigged the pipe instead of using a proper LG OEM pipe! We made the decision to switch to a smaller, local contractor -- and the difference has been incredible. We're paying less, included in every step of the restoration process, and finally feel heard and respected. Please, save yourself the stress. ‼Look at their ratings‼: on most platforms (including feedback from former employees) they average under 3 stars. The only exception is Google reviews, which feels suspicious on its own. You deserve a contractor who values you, your home, and your peace of mind. This company is not it.
