Paul and his new assistant came to our home to clean out our dryer vent. They were both very friendly and competent. During the cleanout process, Paul noticed that the vent inside the dryer (not the vent and hose to the outside) was not properly attached. Apparently, when we had the dryer installed during a move a couple of years ago, the installer jury-rigged the pipe instead of using a proper LG OEM pipe! RestorePro was hired to restore my son and DIL's home after a fire on June 7, 2024. The recommendation came from State Farm and we went with RPro feeling good that we were using a company the insurer recommended. They started out by saying there was asbestos that had to be taken care of, even though the home was checked at the time it was purchased, and no asbestos was found. After the abatement, which was doneby a subcontractor, restore pro basically disappeared. NINE MONTHS after the fire and bringing RPro onboard, they had moved 7 times with an 18-month old baby and my son's housing allowance from insurance had been exhausted, leaving them with no housing. Project managers changed twice. Daniel misled us saying delays were about waiting on permits. When we checked with the county permit office, they said they hadn't been contacted. They also said the HVAC work had not passed inspection and that they had to wait on a new inspection. When we asked the Chatham County inspection office about this, they reported no work on HVAC had ever been mentioned and no inspection had been done at all. Later on, when we hired someone else, we realized this was the first time the HVAC unit had been opened and it was 10 months after the fire. Now, 10 months later there is still no drywall, no electric and no flooring. Restore pro put a temporary electrical pole in the front yard, which sat there for 9 months without being connected to electricity. Even worse, the lack of electricity to the home over a summer and a winter and now into spring has caused more damage that will have to be fixed and any fixtures that could have been salvaged have been ruined. Within less than a week after getting rid of restore pro my son managed to get it inspected and connected to Duke power. Nearly a year after the fire, they are now starting over with a new company, but without housing, The physical and emotional trauma to their family has been significant, including loss of their beloved dog when the temporary housing they found for him resulted in his escape and loss. read more

We had a bathroom restored & the entire process was not great. Months later and the floors creak & the grout is all cracked. Water pools in spots in the shower due to the poor design & implementation. Throughout the process everything has been unprofessional & the customer service has been really bad. We've had to chase them to get the work done. Tardiness & late appointments throughout. They had said the leftover supplies that had been purchased would be left behind, like tiles & flooring.. since we had paid for them. Since they use subcontractors they took all the leftovers. I would highly suggest you find someone else to help you. read more

Excellent communication and workmanship. We had a pipe freeze causing our washing machine drain to overflow creating water damage since it was on the second floor. RestorePro came in and was able to dry things up and we reconstructed the washer with better waterproofing to better contain a spill like this in the future. They put everything back better than new. Their deconstruction crew, paint/drywall and plumber were very professional and kept us advised as the project progressed. Special thanks to Jeff and Greg who managed the overall project. They maintained excellent communication throughout the entire process which was challenging due to the many cases of pipe freezing that they were balancing due to an unprecedented 200+ consecutive hours of sub freezing temperatures. This was truly one of the worst case scenarios to operate under and they came through with flying colors. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again on any future mishaps like this which hopefully won't happen anytime soon! ;-) read more

My review of this company is very disappointing for two reasons, after confirming an appointment they did not show up, worst of all, the excuses I was given gave me pause. Nick Jordan contacted me to set up the appointment, he advised me he will be sending his technician on a Wed. at 2:00, after calling him 20 min after the appt he called me back to apologize and will see where his technician was. I felt bad for him because he shared that he was at an urgent care facility on a family emergency. I received a call from the technician 40 min after the appointment informing me that Nick Jordan was unable to make the appointment but he would be happy to come by but not until after 6:00. I don't like when someone misses an appointment but I never appreciate being given a story as an excuse. Needless to say, I cannot recommend a business that doesn't show up, especially when they don't own up to their miscommunications. read more

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! RestorePro Reconstruction was the worst Water & Damage Restoration Company that was referred to us. If I could give them a "0" I would because they are a bunch of amateurs that don't know how to do the work properly and complete it on time. It's been months since we've been dealing with this company. They were to remove and replace floors, paint walls, and install a tub. We would sit around waiting and sometimes they wouldn't show up at all. We wouldn't get a phone call saying, "We're running late", "We can't make it", "I'm sorry", or Nothing at all. We would have to text and ask when they would show up. They would always give a bunch of lip service and false promises about when the work is to be done and completed but their main concern/focus is to try and get you to sign off on invoices that they had typed up with a different rate increase than what was originally quoted. To me the entire process even dealing with RestorePro Reconstruction was very suspicious and fraudulent, especially after we mentioned that we would be dealing with our insurance company. They were supposed to paint the entire bathroom upstairs, downstairs bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room. I felt like they just threw paint all over my walls! Terrible job! Restorepro Reconstruction came back out again and this time they admitted that they missed a few areas that weren't painted and realized that they put the wrong paint on my walls. They told my wife that it was the last time that they were going to have their guys come back out because it was costing them gas money every time they had to make extra trips to come back out. They had done such a sloppy job! When they had to replace the flooring in the upstairs bathroom, they disconnected the valve from my toilet and didn't connect it back, which we didn't find out until they sent some cleaners out to clean the bathroom and they made me aware that the valve was disconnected and the toilet was full of feces where the contractors had used it and it wouldn't flush. They strolled paint throughout my house onto the carpet and tried to convince us that it was dirt and that it had already been there before they started doing any work when they had different contractors coming in and out of our house without putting on shoe covers. Didn't know that we were dealing with different companies and different people like a mom-and-pop shop that's giving us trashy work. We have become very angry, frustrated, and upset because of the work not being done properly and the way they disrespected our home. DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! read more

From the moment workers entered my home they make poor decisions, unsuccessful mitigation of water, failure to realize there was two layers of floor plywood which prevent drying. They said two days to dry and after 10 days with industrial fans running 24 hours a day- still not dry. They broke our countertop, soiled rugs, threw and left pipes in the yard which I ran over with lane mower. They did not finish toe molding, purchase and reattach hardware for cabinets or HVAC register and duct work. The worst was when the plumber left having "fInished" and the pipes leaked and flooded new hardwood floors. They cashed checks made out to me from insurance company and no customer service. Save yourself extra headaches. Don't call RestorePro. They do neither. read more

After Restore Pro completed all the work from my water leak in late December and replaced all my upstairs carpet, sheetrock repair and painting. I contacted Michelle and asked if they could install and match the new carpet downstairs: just didn't look nice or feel new. Restore Pro was in charge of reconstruction after flooding at my mother's house. The packing up of belongings went fine. The horror started with their reconstruction. They hired subcontractors that did very shoddy work. They didn't nail the sub-flooring into the floor joists; just laid it down and randomly put nails in. Our flooring installer had to repair it all. Their drywall guy drank beer and stole my tools (who knows what else). The kitchen cabinet sub-contractor was doing such a poor job that I stated he was not to do any more work, yet they sent him back unsupervised. He shot a nail into a water line and flooded the kitchen causing a delay of two months as the cabinets had to be reordered and new sub-flooring and dry wall had to be installed. They kept all the cabinets, even slightly damaged ones, for their own gain and charged full price for the new even though we could have used them. The sub-contractor had paid for those cabinets so Restore Pro got a profit. They assured me that their own guys would do a great job. Not at all. They installed a row of cabinets crookedly; drilled into an electric wire that shut off power to half the downstairs for over a week as they couldn't figure out what they'd done; punched a hole through the top of a cabinet; didn't finish off part of the cabinets; and left behind construction materials that had to be hauled away. They refuse to compensate for all the additional expenses that the extra two months in a hotel caused. Their supervisor said "well, they had to eat anyway" not comprehending that two people eating out twice a day is not at all fiscally comparable to cooking at home. The fact that the hotel was paid for does not mitigate the additional costs of being there. The insurance company made all the arrangements in hiring them. After seeing some of their incompetence at work, we hired other companies and people to do most of the work.; unfortunately the kitchen installation was the biggest job and that's what they were doing. 9/12/2018 May 9, had a washer to flood the laundry room upstairs and the water ruined my ceiling downstairs. RestorePro was quick to dry out the laundry room. They had contractors repair my ceiling down stairs. That is when the problems began. The contractor took weeks to repair the ceiling. In doing so, they ruined my expensive ceiling fan. The work was not acceptable and had to be redone. They tried to paint the blades of my ceiling fan and pass it as quality. NOPE. Then they purchased blades and drilled holes in them to fit the motor, didn't work. So finally they ordered them. In the meantime, I was unable to use my family room as all of my furniture was in another room. The inspector came by from RestorePro and decided the ceiling work was not acceptable and they redid it a 3rd time. September 6, they finished it. May 9 - September 6???? This was just a ceiling repair. Can you imagine not being able to spend quality time with small kids during the summer months? No board games, no family movie nights, no family meals at a dinner table together. How would you feel for this period of time? I moved all of the furniture myself and told Luke, the owner of RestorePro, "there was nothing else you can do for me, I will repair my house". As a 22 year retired Military disabled Veteran, I have a high expectation for time management and quality of product/service and this experience left me feeling drained, disappointed, frustrated, and at times angry. The laundry room was back in order in less than two weeks, so why was the ceiling such a hassle? I must say that I was not impressed and will not recommend them for any future repair work. read more

In December of 2018, I suffered nearly a total loss of personal belongings in an apartment fire. RestorePro was contracted by the management company to take on the removal and restoration of the damaged apartments. During the cleanup process, the restoration crew ignored the direction given to them to contact me when they began the removal of items off of the outside porch and storage unit, that I previously had no access to because they boarded up the space that once was the sliding glass doors. Some of the items were once located in the apartment, then moved outside before I could get to them and perform my own inspection as to whether I wanted to save them. As for the items inside the outside storage unit, I was never able to get to those before the clean up, but pictures taken by myself showed many items still had their plastic covers intact, so some of the inside contents were probably in good shape. These were very meaningful, personal possessions that meant more to me than any furniture I lost. They did not care about the personal connection at all, and were only focused on finishing the clean up. I did not even receive an apology from the foreman on the job when he told me over the phone that they had been thrown out. I would never recommend their services. read more

I want to thank RestorePro for the excellent job of returning my house to "better than before" the fire. I especially liked that they were able to provide services in every area of need. The kitchen was gutted and a lot of smoke damage to the rest of the house.. They remove from the house the things that weren't destroyed, furniture, textiles, art, and very important the electronics. They were cleaned, d-smoked and stored until the house was ready for move in. This brings me to the project manager, Michelle Amanatides. I give her all the credit for the restoration inside my home. She is an angel in work pants. She was in charge of all the work done inside the house, and she wanted everything to exceed my expectations. She communicated with me on a regular basis. Took great interest in any details I would bring up. I found a great deal on the kitchen appliances, but by the time I gave the list to her the sale was over. This past Wednesday the toilet in my business decided to give us a piece of its mind. As I was in a different place in the building, the water steadily flowed out and over the bowl until I came back to find standing water in my main hallway, bathroom, and office. Our landlord called Sparkkles and they were out at our location within 2 hours of being called. They did a quick assessment of the damage, checked in on what time line they had to fix it, and got to work. The standing water was removed quickly and multiple high powered fans were brought in. They were very attentive to working with our needs and when it was all said in done, the job was completely fully within 48 hours. Now granted, it's necessary to note that we have concrete floors beneath our carpet and were told that some of our pre-existing our dry wall was not completely squared with the floor. This really helped our chances with dealing with the issue. Still, I cannot help be but very impressed. Those who came to help with the mess all introduced themselves and were all very friendly to talk to without such politeness ever getting in the way of their work. I will definitely be recommending them in the future and I hope this review is helpful! Their motto is "turning panic into peace of mind" and that is exactly what they did for me! read more
