They began work without approval from me or my insurance company, and later classified the job as an "emergency" -- despite the fact that it was scheduled during regular business hours. This appears to have been a deliberate move to justify inflated charges. Their invoice included questionable fees: an unjustified emergency service charge, inflated equipment monitoring hours, and duplicate charges for equipment that may have simply been relocated between rooms. I submitted a detailed written dispute and requested a revised invoice. Despite multiple follow-ups, Roto-Rooter has not responded. To make matters worse, they submitted billing after my insurance claim was closed, meaning I'm now being asked to pay out-of-pocket for charges that should have been handled properly from the start. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable. I'm sharing my experience to warn others: get everything in writing, scrutinize the invoice, and don't assume your insurance will cover what they bill.
