We had a pipe leak that started in a closet and quickly turned into far more work than we ever expected. What began as a small issue became a full first-floor restoration -- new flooring throughout, drywall replacement, painting, and new trim. Needless to say, it was a much bigger project than we were prepared for. We initially hired another restoration company and spent over a month struggling to get updates and track down invoices. They even told us we didn't need to replace our bedroom carpet -- but when Carolina Restoration took over, they immediately recommended replacing it to properly mitigate the risk of mold. We are SO thankful they did. That level of attention and care made all the difference!! From day one, the Carolina Restoration team made the entire process seamless and organized. Our project manager, Sam, was personable, knowledgeable, and truly put us at ease throughout. They coordinated with ANS Painting Company, and Alex and his team went above and beyond -- not only repainting walls beautifully but even painting our baseboards to match our kitchen cabinets! The attention to detail was incredible, and our home truly looks better than ever! From start to finish, Carolina Restoration exceeded every expectation. They kept us informed, prioritized our comfort, and somehow created a sense of normalcy while our home was under construction. We are endlessly grateful to Sam, Alex, and both teams for their professionalism, kindness, and thoroughness. You won't find a better restoration company in Raleigh -- seriously, this is your sign to hire Carolina Restoration Services ASAP!!

Even though they had an incentive to find a "problem" to be able to do paid work for us, they had the integrity to give a true assessment for no restoration. We sincerely appreciate them and will definitely call them if we have any need for services! Thanks for your help. It didn't seem to be actively leaking, so we waited until Monday to get a plumber in to have a look. One leaking toilet seal (wax floor seal) later and our house was +70 dBs louder with our bathroom floor tile removed and drying equipment upstairs and downstairs. I'm glad we called Professional Restoration Services! They have been so helpful and professional (of course!) throughout the water mitigation process. They quickly assessed the issue that the plumber had seen (subfloor damage) and began work on demolition, mold removal, and drying out the area so it could be repaired. Drew (OSU fan, but I won't hold it against him) was great in his initial assessment and was helpful with explaining the process and even working with the insurance claims adjuster who happened to be here at the same time. Esam, Cameron and George performed the service and daily checkups and were always friendly, helpful and professional! And everyone was very thoughtful with their cleanliness (always wore booties in the house, laid down plastic, etc....)! They are a local company and I would definitely recommend them to anyone who has to deal with water mitigation and damage issues in their home! This review is for the water mitigation portion of our service only, I'll post another, separate review for the repair work after it is complete.

Very poor in responsiveness and follow up. So many examples are described as follows:…read more The mitigation estimate was emailed to the wrong address to the same insurance agent the company worked with just a few weeks ago. This delayed my work being scheduled and was left up to me to discover the disconnect (plus several phone calls). The equipment was running a week before the drywall in my kitchen ceiling was removed. (Significant increase in energy costs not to mention the loud noise.) Unfortunately in the removal they didn't leave 1-2 inches of drywall so that a tape joint could be used to attach the new drywall to. Now the molding has to be removed for the repair work adding cost and time. In addition, the clean up from the drywall removal was unacceptable. When I arrived home the residue was stuck to my kitchen floor and dust was on my appliances and cabinets. A cleanup crew came the next day. Franco said they were sending a person to conduct the repair estimate on Tues or Wed. As of Thursday no person has come to review the scope of work. We left text messages, an email and voice messages starting this morning. No communication was returned by this company. At 4:10 pm today I expressed my dissatisfaction to a new Franco contact who called to find out what was going on. I have cancelled any further interactions. Franco will come tomorrow to get their equipment out now that the humidity levels are in code. From what I hear the mitigation costs are inflated. Had I known... Dealing with Franco has been a time consuming and utterly frustrating experience.

I would avoid using Restoration Experts of NC if you have damage in your house that needs repair…read more We read all the glowing reviews before we called them, but our experience was a zero star job. Our project was supposed to take 2 weeks, but instead too over 5 months due to their disorganization and lack of quality work. At one point they left us without our kitchen sink for a week and after calling them multiple times, we finally had to hire our own plumber to perform the install. Restoration Experts caused additional small water leaks in our house, scratched newly refinished hardwood floors, tore paint off walls, and had to fix multiple things that weren't done correctly the first time. We even had to purchase our own mounts for a cabinet they repaired improperly and weren't interested in fixing to the industry standard. They seem to want to get the job done, but aren't worried about the quality of work, so watch them closely. The only positives about this company were the drying service they provided after our water leak and one of their employees Jimmy. Restoration Experts of NC might be fine for small jobs or drying after a leak, but if you have anything more complex I would definitely look for a better company.
