I usually work in the office at Professional Restoration Services, but I had the opportunity to get out in the field for a day and go on job with Cameron, a Lead Water Technician, and his helper, Lewis. Being able to step away from the desk and experience the hands-on side of the business gave me new appreciation for the work that goes into each project. When we arrived, Cameron immediately stepped into his leadership role, walking me through the full assessment process -- identifying the source of the water, checking moisture levels with meters, and inspecting areas that didn't appear wet on the surface. Seeing how detailed the inspection process is really helped me understand what goes into creating an effective drying plan. One of the most valuable, and favorite things I learned was how to set up a dry-in-place system. Cameron taught me how to properly install the dry-in-place Injectidry flooring system, showing me how to seal the mats correctly, connect the hoses, and ensure moisture was being pulled from beneath the flooring without unnecessary tear-out. It was impressive to see how technical and strategic the process is when done correctly. Once the equipment setup began, the pace picked up. Lewis absolutely busted butt the entire time -- moving equipment, assisting with setup, and making sure everything was positioned properly. The work is physically demanding, and he didn't slow down once. Going up and down those steps with equipment in both hands is no joke! Watching both work highlighted how important teamwork is in the restoration field. One moment that really stood out to me was how we supported the family. The homeowners had children, and Cameron and I gave them our PRS company stuffed dog mascots. Seeing the kids light up in the middle of a stressful situation was something I won't forget. It reminded me that restoration work isn't just about drying structures -- it's about caring for people and bringing comfort during difficult times. Cameron also handled communication with the homeowners clearly, making sure they understood each step of the process. That level of reassurance makes a big difference when a family is dealing with unexpected water damage. Overall, getting out of the office and into the field gave me a deep appreciation for the restoration side of Professional Restoration Services. It takes leadership, technical knowledge, physical effort, teamwork, and compassion. This is absolutely The. Best. Company. A major kitchen leak surprised our lives and PRS has worked diligently to restore us to our home quickly. One hour after I reached out to PRS, our project manager, Bill, arrived. He quickly evaluated the scope of our damage and carefully explained the next, necessary steps. Drew, Josh, and Jake arrived that afternoon and began the remediation process. Dwight removed our custom cabinets with care and rebuilt the damage better than before; he is a master carpenter! They worked quickly, doing as much as possible to keep disruption to our home at a minimum. No question or concern was too small for them to stop and answer or solve. Each morning Drew came to check on our home, keep us updated, and encourage us. After the drying out step, Bill worked with our insurance adjuster to detail all of the damage and develop a project timeline, sitting with me at the dinning room table to work through the calendar. We've just started the rebuilding process, and I've met and love every subcontractor Bill has chosen. They are companies with integrity who are proud of their quality work. Communication is outstanding. Every step of the way we have been attended to with compassion and professionalism. I honestly feel like they have treated me as family. In the midst of our job, this area was hit with a major hail storm. The job load for PRS doubled overnight, yet my project timelines haven't slipped. We had a massive amount of damage done to our home by a mouse that chewed through some pex piping. From the moment I contacted Professional Restoration, I was impressed. Always a little skeptical, I asked a lot of questions, and had a lot of what if situations to throw at them. Justin, who took care of the initial clean up, was professional, and very caring. He called every day we had the dehumidifiers in our home to check on us and let us know what the next step would be. I never had to wonder about anything.....Justin let me know before I could ask. When Bill took over, he was just as thorough. He never let me wonder whether or not something was going to be taken care of, and was quick to answer all of my questions. He was kind enough to not only answer my concerns, but he never made me feel like a pain. And I called often! I felt like their cost was very fair, and their work was stellar! I was very impressed that the timeline they gave me was accurate....almost to the minute. I had the best experience with Professional Restoration Services. Our home was heavily damaged during a hail storm. Professional Restoration worked directly with my insurance company to make sure that the insurance company covered everything that needed repair. After Professional Restoration Services constant connection with my insurance company, we were able to get them to fully cover all damages to be repaired. It was great to have Professional Restoration Services be my spokesperson, and to work with someone that I trust and had our best interest at heart. The company has great communication! We had an unfortunate situation with a slow leak behind our refrigerator. It caused quite a bit of damage, which insurance wouldn't cover. The PRS guys were kind, sympathetic and professional from the start. They approached the situation in phases, trying to manage the scope of the mitigation as much as possible, while still ensuring the area was completely dried and any mold was addressed. They were very respectful and careful about the rest of our home, covering things so as not to spread the mess any further than necessary. They cleaned up nicely at the end of each day. They checked in with me before progressing through each step of the process, and they always made sure all my questions and concerns were addressed. We woke up to our kitchen sink leaking which caused damage in the kitchen as well as the garage. Contacted our insurance company who sent in a different company (national chain) to help with the clean up from the water damage. They did an OK job - but not good enough that we wanted to hire them for the repairs. I went looking for other options and found Professional Restoration Services. From the initial estimate to the repairs being completed, Kevin & crew were great to work with. We wanted to upgrade a few items in conjunction with the repairs, and they made that very easy to do. We had a water pipe leak in our kitchen wall. PRS was quick to respond and start work when we called. I have had to use the services of PRS on two separate occasions associated with the same leaking roof...finding the leak has been difficult. On both occasions they were straightforward about they would do to reduce the wetness and mitigate the mold in my home. They were efficient with each visit and always called prior to arriving at my home. The Project Manager Drew called me on several occasions to learn of the progress my contractor was having to identify the leak. He was sensitive to our concerns about wetness and mold and worked to successfully resolve our dampness issues. His teams were extremely courteous and professional. We called Professional Restoration Services when our dishwasher flooded our kitchen and the water ran throughout most of our downstairs They responded immediately with their mitigation service to remove the damaged flooring and rugs and dry it out. They used many commercials fans, a dehumidifier and an air purifier. They checked in during the days it was drying out. This way we knew what was happening. They worked with insurance after we filed the claim and we were so impressed we had them do the restoration part of the job too. We had a dishwasher leak and subsequent water and mold issues. PRS came in, assessed the issue and got to work immediately. A description of the issue was provided, the plan for mitigation and remediation outlined and executed. The highlight of the project was working with the project manager Bill Daley. Bill was extremely responsive, communicative, responded to each and every one of my queries and stuck to the proposed the timelines. I don't believe any of my calls or inquiries ever went unanswered. We had a situation develop on a Saturday morning a few months ago in our laundry room that caused a flood. 30 minutes after calling PRS we had someone in our house to assess what had happened. About 45 minutes after that a crew arrived with all the gear to begin the demolition, drying and dehumidifying of the damaged area. The initial crew returned daily to check conditions and recorded progress each time that would later be provided to me in a nice report. Once the drying was complete Mike took over on the construction aspect. He gave us a calendar with a timeline and walked us through when we should expect things to be back to normal. We had a leak behind our fridge and the Plumber told me to call PRS. I had never heard of them but am soooo glad I called. Drew and Mike came out the next day to assess the situation. They gave me an estimate and time line for repairs right away. They even contacted the insurance company for me and helped get approval for all the work and price. Mike was the best!!! I have never met a friendlier staff than I have with PRS. Their customer service is extraordinary! Every single person that stepped foot on my property was kind, courteous, and very friendly. Any time I needed to call or text, someone answered or got back to me almost immediately with an answer to my question. I had a great experience working with PRS. We had contacted 2 water mitigation companies before reaching out to PRS. The other 2 companies took days to get back to me and after 4 days of follow up calls with these other companies, I finally called PRS. They came out to see the damage, wrote the estimate, and began work in under 24 hours. They were responsive and polite in every interaction that I had with them. They worked with my insurance company to ensure that I had a fair settlement package to cover the cost of the repair work. There was a project manager for the mitigation (Drew) and for the restoration (Patrick) and they were both great! We had a slow leak in a wall behind kitchen cabinets that wasn't discovered for a couple months. PRS came in, got a plumber to fix the leak, dried out the subfloor, replaced the flooring, repaired the damaged cabinets, put everything back together and painted the kitchen. Also dried and replaced the insulation in the crawl space. The job was completed with professionalism, courtesy, and timeliness, and their main concern was the least disruption possible in our lives.
