We had the most amazing honest service from our technician. We booked a system maintenance visit last week. The service technician not only cleaned our system as part of the maintenance contract but also adjusted our Freon. The education we received from our technician on indoor air quality and how to keep our system running more efficiently was worth the value alone. I will definitely be contacting them again in the future. Looking forward to our fall maintenance. Thank you Air Innovations! read more

I've been using Air Innovations since they first installed my heat pump in 2013. Absolutely A+. Honest, responsive, I NEVER worry about them trying to scam me, Travis was super patient when I was buying the system (first time homeowner terrified of such a huge purchase). They don't try to pressure me on additional services; I do the annual maintenance plan and they come out and sometimes they see something and recommend something proactive, and I say "I'll wait this time, but remind me next time" and they are fine with that. Have never had a problem getting them to come out and diagnose when it was hot as hell and the AC drain clogged up or a fuse blew. When I was getting quotes, my uncle said "go with your gut on who you think is the best company" and I was not wrong. read more

Five-star service. Had Travis and Graham over for multiple visits, including a quote, complete unit replacement, and fixing the ductwork of an existing house. Identified and fixed issues with return sizing, leakage, air distribution, and other things that the inspector and two other HVAC companies did not find. Pricing is average to lower than average. Very honest company. read more

Jaden was the wonderful technician who came to trouble shoot why my HVAC unit was misbehaving. He called to let me know that he was running a bit behind schedule, as another repair had been a bit more time consuming. He diagnosed the issue right away and gave several options about how to do the repair. I was really impressed with his courteous demeanor and his expertise. I recently had another company try to diagnose the issue and they not only couldn't find the issue, but they actually created another issue which Jaden recognized and fixed right away. I would highly recommend Jaden and this company. They are clearly knowledgeable and have high integrity. read more

Josh Baker with Air Innovations had taken outstanding care of us. His team is excellent and has great customer service. They have repaired our heater in the middle of the winter and replaced our AC in the heat and humidity of summer. All the work has been high quality and certainly worth the cost. Air Innovations will have us as customers for life. read more

I've had Josh here twice and I'm so impressed by his knowledge, professionalism and demeanor. Last night, on a Saturday he was here working on the roof of my condo building. It was pouring rain, but he continued working. At one point he had to stop because it was becoming dangerous to be working with electric wires. He left and said he'd come back the next day, a Sunday. Within five minutes I received a text that he was coming back because the rain had stopped and it was starting to clear up. He returned and spent another 1/2 hour on the roof. In all the years I've had professionals come out for one reason or another I can say that I've never been as impressed as I am with Josh's overall experience, efficiency and dedication. I will never consider using another company for my heating and AC needs. I'd give more stars if I could! Thank you Josh! read more

Extremely fair and upfront pricing. Work was performed exactly as described and was able to get 0% financing through them. Definitely recommended vs a lot of the other guys in town that up charge you and give the sales pitch so hard that it makes your head spin. Give Air innovations a call and prepare to be pleasantly surprised how they talk to you like family instead of another sales number. read more

I signed up for the HVAC maintenance plan with Air Innovations in 2019 when my HVAC (Carrier system) was roughly 4 years old. The maintenance plan was to come out twice a year and do checks to make sure my HVAC is running without incident. My A.C. recently stopped cooling (2021) so I called Air Innovations to troubleshoot the issue. They promptly sent a technician out to troubleshoot. The technician did not identify the issue but suggested to apply Leak Stop and 4 pounds of refrigerant. I went in trusting the technician since I have been using this company while my HVAC was in good working condition by being on their maintenance plan. I was skeptical that he said he didn't identify the leak and suggested the Leak Stop, but he was able to get my A.C. cooling again by performing this procedure. Two days later, my A.C. stopped cooling again. Air Innovations sent technician out to evaluate. The technician offered me two options. Option 1: Replace damaged component (technician was guessing it was the coil) or Option 2: REPLACE MY WHOLE SYSTEM. This is where I became skeptical. I asked if he identified the issue and he said no. He's failing to troubleshoot in order to identify the issue, but telling me my options are to replace components that have NOT even been identified as broken. That's not troubleshooting. That's not service. It's poor evaluation and represents itself as not trying anything, but to upsell. How can you offer options without identifying the issue? I told my friend about my A.C. issue. She called her dad who has over 49 years of experience as an HVAC business owner. He drove 2 hours to evaluate my system and determined that my TXV (Thermo Expansion Valve) was damaged and needed to be replace. That's all! No system replacement! He also advised that throwing Leak Stop on an issue that hasn't been identified causes more damage to compressors, TXV, etc. than it helps. He was very disappointed in the technician's troubleshooting, evaluations, action (leak stop without knowing the issue), and representation of the trade. Overall: I feel this company was focused on upselling me and not providing me with honest service. On a good note, thanks to friend's dad, I don't have to replace my whole system!! read more

Could not recommend Air Innovations more. Great, honest service. Quick and reliable. No one wants to have to call an HVAC company to fix something, but if and when you do, call them! read more

Just had our HVAC system replaced by Air Innovations. Extremely pleased. Always honest at a fair price. Do not upsell and if you need work, they give you choices (Plan A and Plan B.) Didn't have to, but even told us about the rebates we were eligible for (with no kick back to them.) Town of Cary had to inspect after completion and said Air Innovations has a good reputation with them. Local, family owned business very popular in the West Cary area. read more

I had held off writing a review until I had received more "opinions" on the problem and the recommended solution. The people from air innovations were very prompt to respond to my call to them about the lack of AC. They ( the owner and technician ) were out the next day. They said because of the age of the heat pump that they recommended replacing the entire system for around $10,400 not including a crane which they estimated around $1300. It all sounded very expensive so I decided to call around. Two others companies quoted me to replace the system, including the crane, around $8500 to $9000. So, that said, I decided to check one more option. I got the recommendation from someone who has done some plumbing work for me in the past. That recommendation was that to replace the heat pump and not replace the air handler as the coils had already been replaced a few years ago. To make a short story longer, I went with this company where the total cost was less than $4000.00. So,, I am not sure what " best practices " is in the HVAC businees, but so far I am very happy with my decision. I guess time will tell, but saving around $7000.00 was worth it to me. read more

We have had our AC stop working 2 years in a row. Last year, multiple companies including some big, well known ones, came out and said they fixed the problem but, sadly, they were only a temporary fix... We contacted Josh Baker with Air Innovations Tuesday night and he came out Wednesday morning, spent about an hour finding a leak (that everyone else had claimed was not there) and then repaired it on the spot. He was more than accommodating and knowledgeable. He answered all my questions, let me follow him around and learn and went above and beyond to make me feel reassured that this would actually be a permanent fix. Air Innovations, you have earned a customer for life! I will recommend you (and Josh) to anyone and everyone. Thank you!! read more

Air Innovations is awesome! My AC was not working and they came promptly on a Friday afternoon. They were actually able to fit us in early. The gentlemen came in and fixed the programming on the new thermostat. It started cooling and they waited to make sure it continued cooling. They were on time, polite, clean (wore shoe covers), thorough, and most of all kind. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone seeking heating or air assistance. Thanks guys!! read more

I called Air Innovations to schedule an appointment when my HVAC was blowing cold air instead of hot air. They scheduled me for the next day and were willing to work around my schedule. Andrew texted and called me before he arrived to let me know his ETA, and arrived promptly when he said he would. He was a pleasure to work with and fixed my issue within minutes, even explaining to me what happened to make my HVAC work the way it was. I would definitely recommend Andrew and Air Innovations to anyone needing service on their HVAC. read more

Called to make an appointment after our AC unit was no longer cooling. The person scheduled me an appointment for the next day between 3 and 5. After waiting in the 95 degree temperatures, they never bothered to show up or call. Now all places are closed and will be for the next 3-4 days due to the Memorial day weekend. If they had the decency to contact me to inform me they would not be here, I could have made alternate plans. read more

Found Air Innovations about 3-4 years ago when needed a new system on our townhouse. Of all the companies interviewed, Travis, the owner was the most straightforward. The installation was seamless. Since then Air Innovations has performed the annual service. It was natural that when we purchased our current house for Air Innovations to service the hvac units. They have continued to have exceptional service. Andrew and John are thorough and informative about their findings. Their recommendations for improvements are provided with plenty of information and all without pressure. The team is always professional, pleasant and respectful. For us they have earned "The Best" designation. read more

While recently purchasing a home, our realtor recommended Air Innovations to do the inspection of our HVAC systems. The house has 4 HVAC systems and we were charged approximately $500.00 for the inspection. Air Innovations reported that the units were in good working order and recommended simple upkeep maintenance of the units for a total cost of $1897.00, and seasonal maintenance thereafter. After we purchased the home, we contacted Air Innovations to do the simple regular maintenance on the units. To our utter shock they said the quote of $1897.00 was for each unit!!!! We contacted our Realtor since the $1897.00 per unit was not what we were told. Our Realtor was as surprised as we were, and they argued out the details with Air Innovations finally agreeing to do the work for all three for 1897.00. We closed on our home Dec 30. We moved into the home Dec 31st and when we turned the heater on in the basement, it did not work at all. We called a HVAC technician who we had used with our previous home and he looked at all the units and said he could do ALL the maintenance recommended from Air Innovations for approximately $700.00 for all 4 of the units combined. The trouble in the basement was an igniter was bad and had to be replaced immediately. Should have been caught in the inspection. In May when the weather became warm one day, we turned on our main floor air conditioning units and it did not work. They checked and found the wires in the compressor unit outside were not connected. A service payment and re-connection had that fixed pretty quickly, but the unit still was not coming on. Turns out the thermostat was bad, and was not actually making the call for cooling. We quickly swapped out the unit with one from upstairs and got A/C working in our main living space while we mail-ordered a permanent replacement. Two months later in July we had to REPLACE an entire air-conditioning unit for our upstairs because the coil was riddled with leaks. We received 2 quotes. Both vendors said any inspection would have easily shown the coil was leaking, and in bad shape from visual inspection alone, but that the leaks of refrigerant were quickly found with the standard leak detector used by the industry. We had zero refrigerant. ..... Now, maybe this was just a bad day for them when they did our inspection, but too many coincidences piled up left us feeling very dissatisfied, and clearly like we had lost a pile of money on the purchase of our house that could have been completely avoided had they done their jobs satisfactorily. We probably came out about $9,000 to the bad because of the inspection misses, and added grief and headaches in the middle of COVID. Needless to say, I could not in good conscience recommend them to do any inspection or maintenance work. read more

They were very responsive. The technician was able to diagnose what was wrong with our air heater immediately. We are not sure if their price was reasonable but we paid a total of $1,490 for the replacement of the EMC motor. read more
