One of my favorite places to go and the best location around! Located in Southcenter mall, the staff are friendly and beary helpful! There is a wide selection available and outfits for your bear. If you are in the area, stop by or it's even worth the trip out as you can explore as well.

Dragged in with two little kids who really wanted to show me around. I hadn't been in here before since I'm kidless and my nieces and nephews are all grown so my friend's kids gave me the grand tour. You build your own bear including stuffing, clothes, accessories and other innards like sounds and scents. They have dozens of other kinds of plush to choose from besides bears like Pokemon, bunnies, dogs, cats, and reindeer. We spent 20 minutes in here and not a single employee said a peep to us.

Build-A-Bear is a great store and they have a wide selection of bears to choose from. Have bought bears here for all my kids when they were little and lately brought my granddaughter in for her 1st birthday. Nice that they still only charge for the age they are turning so that is how much it costs to make their own Birthday Treat Bear! So kids turning 1 year old get to make their own bear for just a $1 and so forth. Every time the kids get the chance to fill their own bear makes me so emotional, I really don't know why! Lol! Maybe because it's like adding another member in the family to love, hug and cuddle. The staff at the Tukwila store are terrific with the young ones and they make the trip there memorable. It's always a nice experience, all the time. Highly recommend! Janette Matugas REALTOR @ John L. Scott, Inc. 253-951-2337

I have never been inside a build a Bear. The closes location was tacoma and I never went to that mall. I was excited to bring my girls to build a special bear of their own. The whole process was fun for them and so far they're in love with their bears. It is quite pricy (around $55 per Bear) but I expected that going in from other reviews I read from the other location.

There were not many BAB stores nearby where I lived but I had a chance last Friday to visit the Southcenter Mall.

They have a small arcade area when you walk in. You can also pay to play with the steam tables in a different section. There are snacks and some bites of food sold inside. I didn't notice much people opting for it. I would def recommend bringing a water bottle in, they are $2.50 a bottle inside. There was free black coffee set out for parents, but I didn't see any creamer. Two restrooms inside that were big, nice and clean. The kids had fun jumping in the ball pit, foam pit, some trampoline. There is a fun beaded pit with some toys to play with. Great place to burn the kids energy for the day.

However, trying to book a party myself has been incredibly frustrating. I've called multiple times at different times of the day, and no one ever answers the phone. I also sent a message on Instagram, which wasn't seen until the next day, and even then, it was left on read with no response. For a business that is clearly active and posting, that level of communication is really disappointing. The lack of customer service makes it very difficult to move forward with booking, especially when the website doesn't clearly answer all questions. I prefer being able to speak to someone directly, and not having that option, or any response at all, is frustrating. It's unfortunate because we were genuinely excited to book here based on our previous experience, but the poor communication ultimately cost them our business.

I came into Go looking for a board game for my friends who are huge board game nerds…read more Go is full of all kinds of board games. I didn't see any that I recognized, but I'm mostly familiar with the classics like Monopoly. I didn't see any video games. Everything was either a card/trading game or a board game. I wouldn't call Go a toy store. They had a couple random items that would fall under toys but not enough to suggest to anyone to shop here for a kid's birthday. There's a lot of empty floor space they could do something with, like add popular games. I wandered around the store for about fifteen minutes and didn't encounter or even see a sales person, and I was the only customer there until I passed people as I was leaving. I ended up leaving empty handed since there wasn't anything that looked appealing and no one to ask questions. I wouldn't recommend coming here unless you know what you're looking for or want to buy board games you don't know to try them out.

But me and my son being brown were rudely yelled at for very briefly removing our masks. The second time came without my son I was intending ti buy him a Christmas present, I saw another manager physically shake one of the younger looking employee and yell at her to talk louder and was cursing at her. It was very unsettling and concerning the employee seemed extremely stressed out about the interaction (very terrible to see such horrendous treatment of employees) I left without buying anything both times. Both experiences I had were terrible and unsettling and I will not be shopping here for the foreseeable future. Management is repulsive and rude to employees and customers.
