Dollar Tree is a great place to get a ton of stuff that will be used once like holiday items, gift bags, greeting cards, balloons, etc. I came in to this one looking for stuff for Christmas because the Dollar Tree in Renton Highlands is closed down. They had a ton of stuff for Christmas. Checking out was fast even though they were busy, and the cashier was great. They have a note that they don't allow cash withdrawals without a fee at the register. Small parking lot but didn't have an issue finding a spot during a busy Saturday. read more

The manager Grace at the Dollar Tree on Grady Way by the Walmart in Renton, is just rude! I went over my budget forgetting the prices went up and tried to remove 2 items at first, but then having to remove another 3 items, which the sweet cashier had to get the manager to come over to do. The manager started with an annoyed look and when the cashier told her what help she needed with, Grace (which her name does not describe her), sighed out loud and said "wow" really disgusted. I asked "please don't make me feel bad than I already do" she replied "you don't understand that people can lose their job for this" I replied with, "no I do understand and I am sorry" as I am standing there with people around me tearing up and trying not to lose it. I kept apologizing and the only one that said anything was the man behind me saying "it's ok, don't worry about it" "I hope you have a great rest of your night". New-ish location? Walked in and it was really clean. Found what we needed kind of quickly, but struggled to get it down from a super high shelf. We went to check out, and realized that the music in the store was coming from the register. Dollar Tree - Discount Store Near Me - Renton, Washington

When Christmas comes charging at me in December I usually visit Dollar Tree. Target's $1 section is limited so that's when Dollar Tree is a great alternative. They have a lot of stocking stuffers, wrapping paper, name tags, and gift boxes which are pretty decent quality at a pretty good price. I've found that shopping here is a good way to stretch my dollar during the holiday season. Aside from the holidays, Dollar Tree is a fun place to visit just to browse around. I've bought snacks, poster paper, and craft supplies. This location is pretty clean and organized compared to other Dollar Tree's I've visited. I'm sure weekends are another story. read more

I am so uncomfortable in this Dollar tree that I prefer to drive another 5 miles to the store on Sunset. This store, on Benson, is never clean, the shelves and aisles constantly blocked by boxes and whatnot. That is bad enough but then you have to check out, and there the nightmare begins. This is the checkout experience; I don't care how bad or who did what, or how little you are being paid nor do I care that someone refused to let you go home early or that you can't get holidays off. I get aggravated because I, the customer, shouldn't have to hear all about how badly the store is run from co-WORKERS who loudly disrespect their boss. I really don't care. The customer should never be aware that the store is RUN so unprofessionally. I hope whoever owns this location will purge the dead weight and bring this store BACK to order. Dollar Tree is usually my go-to place when I need gift bags, party supplies and balloons! Why spend more than a dollar some place else when you can get it for a dollar right? Well, it's usually not a pleasant experience because staff seem to lack good customer service skills on most locations. After getting my nails done at my fave nail salon close by, I needed to grab some gift bags. It was just a quick visit since I knew exactly what I was getting & I was in a rush to go to work. After the cashier scanned all 5 gift bags, she began using her phone and started yelling right accross the store to the other employee talking about a concert they're planning to go to. I was in the middle of sliding my card to finish the payment. Take note, she wasn't done with my transaction but she felt the need to whip her phone out and make plans with her co-worker. I just took my receipt & gift bags and left without saying anything. I love the dollar store. Who doesn't? But I hope employees get trained with better customer service skills. read more

Great selection..so I am giving it two stars, but something was very weird about the people going in and out of there and hanging out in the parking lot. I was there for an event at Evergreen Beauty College. The cashiers seemed angry in general and when I asked where the bathroom was, they seemed angry that I asked. Great buys on candy for Halloween. I went up to pay for my finds and the cashier says "hey!" in a real sweet tone. I look up and I give her a smile and said "hi!" right back. She gives me a nasty look, dang I thought she was greeting me with a happy tone. Only to realize she wasn't talking to me. Okay that's fine, but seriously did you have to give me a nasty look. I said to her "I'm sorry I thought you were talking to me." Horrible customer service at this particular Dollar Store. I get it, you probably don't like your job or you deal with a lot of a*holes. I tend to grab dish soap and other little cleaning supplies from this location. The staff there are very unprofessional and lack common sense. Music played in store are definitely inappropriate, staffs are arguing with one another while ringing your items up and the small talks that the employee have amongst one another are beyond inappropriate. I don't understand why they think cursing and the constant use of the "N" word is appropriate when there's little kids in the store. Just a real mess there. read more

I am a huge fan of Dollar Tree! They just recently opened up this location right on the edge of downtown Renton, which is a very convenient location for me. For a dollar store, they actually have a TON of useful stuff from kitchen utensils to any of your party needs, whether it be a birthday, baby shower, bbq or holiday party, to office supplies and household products! I've purchased pet harnesses, 12 pack batteries, snacks, shipping supplies, party favors, school supplies, craft supplies, helium filled mylar balloons, costume accessories, nice looking sunglasses...pretty much all kinds of stuff from this place. Majority of it is quality products that do not fall apart after one use. As for the store itself, it has been clean and well organized the handful of times I have been here. They have a well stocked large selection of products and sometimes they even get in some of the name brand products. Layout is good, lots of aisle space and products are easy to find. Sometimes items are 2/$1 and those are always clearly marked. They also have a section of seasonal items which changes often for holidays or seasonal upon entering to the right. Lots of good stuff there too! What I hate about this store is that whenever I go in for one specific items, I always come out with a ton more of stuff I don't really need, but can't pass up because it was only $1! For example, I went earlier today for batteries (Sunbeam 4 pack of AAA for $1!) and came out with bungee cords, 4 packs of metal bbq skewers (great for summer campfire smore making!) and a large reusable water bottle. read more

I love dollar tree in general. You can get some pretty decent stuff and then some stuff that is pure crap and really not a good deal, even for a buck. IE: Easter candy eggs, the plastic ones are a $1 here but you can get them at Wal Mart for like .50. Sure not a huge deal to some but not everything in here is a good deal. It's a Dollar Tree but I would have expected the cashier to be accurate in her procedure. I had to convince her that she over charged me... to which she ignored me and then proceeded on asking me to wrap up my transaction. She then had me prove to her that she overcharged me, asked to me wait for another cashier for the refund.... total transaction wait time: 30 minutes without waiting longer for the refund.... We live nearby and used to love walking to this store until today. The clerks are nice but the store manager needs to understamd that not every black person is there to steal. I get that I had a stroller but if the gentleman wasn't so blinded by skin color he might have saw an average mom out for a stroll who comes in often with no disturbances. I actually like this Dollar tree a lot. They have a slight bit different products than other dollar trees. But they are almost always fully stocked! Sweet cashiers most of the time. Still kind of messy and run down, but its a nice place for a quick stop. Not as heavily trafficked like the dollar tree at south center. read more

Yes, it's the usual Dollar Tree type store, and it is a bit smaller than others I've been in, but it had everything I needed. I generally go to these types of stores to find fun things for my kids to do for cheap. The thing I noticed that was really nice was their service. I love Dollar Tree but was really disappointed in this particular one; wasn't even acknowledged when I entered. The store is really small. Very poor lighting. The store has a very run down and shabby feel to it. I only got as far as the seasonal section which, believe me, was far enough, before turning around and leaving.
