This location is moderately diverse in both selections and staff. Holidays can be overwhelming and quite littered with picked apart racks and abandoned carts but that'll be any and all department stores in the busy and functioning holiday season. My only complaint is the lack of personal space and customer to employee interaction needs to improve. read more

I give it two b/c the shoes are always great...but the service always sucks really badly in this store. They keep remodeling it and the Managers change, but they cannot seem to get it right...They had make up in the front for a while, which was awesome and enthralling for me as a makeup enthusiast, but the only great thing about this store is the shoes. Ross is cheaper, and the Ross in Burien has its own freaking problems, but the clothing and housewares are better there. But seriously, the shoes and boots in this store are incredible. read more

I love their selection here. Prices have been marked down so it doesn't feel like your money is really going towards because of the brand for the most part. What's unique about this Marshall's is the food isle. The tea selection always changes and so does everything else. For what it is, I always walk into Marshall's when I get the chance for food. I recently had to return boots that my wife had purchased that had mismatched sizes. I was greeted and assisted by Vanessa, who promptly sorted out the different sizes and found the matching pair. This location is West Seattle's own, so expect nice cars in the parking lot and nice brands inside the store. We found some gorgeous All Clad cookware for half-off retail, while Bed Bath & Beyond was charging full price just around the corner. Great clothes all around the store and a super organized shoe section, with boxes of different sizes below each display shoe. Lots of nice pillows, organization supplies, and some cool furnishings too. There are great gifts by checkout, perfect for taking along to a house party. read more

"Marsha(ll's), Marsha(ll's), Marsha(ll's)!" All day yesterday, the sound of Jan Brady's voice was echoing through my head. Typically that would drive me bonkers, but when I though of how jealous Marsha Brady would be of the screamin' deals I found at my neighborhood Marshall's, I knew I could handle it. I was always a fan of Ross, but the Southcenter store is always so packed and is in such a state of dirty disarray that I just can't bring myself to shop there anymore. Since I figured that Marshall's was just a more expensive version of Ross, I had been hesitant to really give them a chance despite the fact that the store is within walking distance of my apartment. Needless to say, I was schooled. I dropped about $200 there this weekend and may have not found what I originally went in for, but came out of Marshalls with: A faux shearling rug in a brick red zebra print for $15 2 (near) matching bar stools that fit perfectly with my current furniture for $40 a piece A one quart oven safe sauce pan for $10 (can't even find ones of these bad boys at Walmart for that cheap folks) 3 adorable dresses ($7, $15, $20) 1 pair of Limited slacks (Drew Fit) for $17 1 super cute blue hoody for $13 1 tunic/dress top for $20 Looking at the original sales prices, I "saved" about the same amount I spent and this girl loooooves a bargain. This store is relatively quiet and relatively clean, the employees are nice and (mostly) professional - nothing like I've come to expect from Ross. Marshall's still has it's share of crap (hello metal wall-decor "wings" - I'm talking to you), but also has a good supply of designer clothes, shoes, furniture, bedding, luggage, electronics...The list goes on and I could have spent a least another $100 on things that I would love to have. As per usual with these types of stores, you may have to dig a little but you'll find some great stuff at fabulous prices. The only thing that gave me pause about this Marshall's was the chick "guarding" the fitting room (she stops you at the entrance with one of those VIP type barricades so she can hang up your items and count them, then take them from the rod and return them to you with you number tag, and vice versa went you exited) - she seemed awfully slow and practically mute, though I just assumed they hire developmentally disabled people/and or recovering addicts in need of a real job and there's not a damn thing wrong with that....But the "dead in the eyes" thing was a bit creepy. read more

I usually swing by Marshalls when I have some extra time before hitting Target. As I am a self-proclaimed diamond in the rough shopper Marshalls usually hits the spot. I have found several good steals one shoes, furniture, clothes, workout gear, and even electronics. All-in-all if you have time to dig for a steal you should check it out. QUICK TIP!!! For the other diamond in the rough shoppers and fashionistas out there; I recently discovered their mark downs are usually done on Friday. So for first bibs hit the store by noon! read more

Not bad, if a little messy at times. They have been trying to improve, lately. They're just always busy, so I try to cut them some slack. Besides, it's always great to find a bargain, and I can usually find something I need (or just want!) any time I go. Best place for athletic gear in particular, if you don't like the idea of spending big bucks for yoga pants. I've found most of the employees to be pleasant, too. read more

Oh Marshalls, you used to be SO LOVELY. When I'd go out on weekends and hear, "where did you get that (jacket, top, skirt, purse, shoe[just one or it wouldn't sound propa ])" "oh, Marshalls". It got to the point where people would just ask, then answer the question themselves, "oh silly me, you got it at Marshalls!" My frequent visits and determination to see each item in the store would pay off time and time again. Both inside and outside my closet my home is filled with Marshalls Merch. But then something happened. Something horrible. They moved ALL the clothes to one side of the store. All womens, juniors, clearance, dresses, intimates, workout gear, EVERYTHING. And they gave us a half a freaking store of shoes.... now I luv shoes. But these shoes never change. The same few pumps, a few boots, a few brand names which are still like $150 for NOT the cutest style. They haven't changed in months. While my pretty frocks are getting more and more crammed together on the other side of the store, screaming for help, no one can see them! And new frocks never come to play with the old ones. And the shoes each are provided with about 4 square feet of room per shoe just to breath on their pretty little shelves. Fire the new buyer, manager, who ever is responsible for this. Give me my store back. PS I do appreciate that I don't have to ask to use the bathroom anymore, so nice to just be able to go in there whenever I want without waiting to have the awkward walk in with some random employee. Oh, and one certain dressing room lady : I DO NOT have more than the acceptable items in my hand, I am NOT hiding clothes, or stealing from you, I WILL bring your little number card back and you might want to think about taking a Zanex because your job responsibilities obviously are way to overwhelming for you. The store is always a mess which is typical for this type of chain. However they do have a lot of products in stock. The staff is fast and friendly but not very knowledgeable with helping with anything in my experience. I would still come to the store. I would definitely just make sure that I had plenty of time to sort through the chaos. read more

Half my new clothes are from Marshalls, but my friend turned me onto JC Penney recently for work clothes. Marshalls is good for having nothing in mind, and just browsing clothes. You will find something cheap and nice, that MIGHT even fit you. If you are looking for something in particular, GOOD FLIPPING LUCK! Seems the last two times I have found everything BUT that. Perry Ellis, Calvin Klien, Liz Claiborne, Polo, and other random brand names abound this maze of irregular clearance racks and last years mistakes. read more

How can you not like Marshalls? Cheaper than the regular store Nordstroms or Macy's but you're getting the same exact things. I've never figured out why people don't like going to these stores. Maybe they just don't like saving money. AWKWARD! Anyways, the store is considerably well placed out, customer service sure does need some help though. But, good job to the management on cleaning up this place compared to what it has looked like in the past for me. read more

I live nearby, so when I'm at Westwood Village and have a little extra time I like to check out this store. I've found some good kitchenware, blankets and housewares here. Merchandise appears to turn over fairly quickly but new shipments seem to arrive regularly. I do wish they carried more women's pants in small sizes--the selection of sizes 2 and 4 is always pretty limited. The dressing rooms are generally clean and well-lighted, and there are plenty of them--I've never had to wait to try on clothes. Worth stopping by if you're in West Seattle. read more

Sometimes my friend and I come here after work since we work in Georgetown. This particular location is a little disorganized from time to time, but it's still a worthwhile stop. They seem to be well-stocked in bags, dresses, clothing (in general), gourmet food, and home linens. The Marshalls in Shoreline seem to have a been inventory, and the layout is better there. This Marshalls is really getting better. I come here when I'm bored and want to spend money, but too lazy to go far away from my home. Lately, I've been finding a lot of good finds. I started working for a company where I have to dress up more than I did at my last job, so Marshall's has been the place to go for inexpensive and cute professional work clothes. I feel like in the past, they didn't have enough sizes and if you did find something in your size, it had a stain on it. This Marshall's has imporved A LOT though. I am definitely a fan! read more

I go here so often it never occurred to me to write a review. Most of the other reviewers are right- you can't really go in expecting to find anything in particular of a certain genre. Like " a good date dress" or " work clothes" and yes their clothes are all mushed together and looking through there honestly does hurt my eyes. However for winter coats, camisoles , dress shirts and other life staples- it's a war of first come, first serve. Here you can observe the shopping tactic if hiding something you want for later in a completely different size. This has caused me much grief. Ladies- be creative. Don't put the XXXL stuff in the smalls or vice versa. They never look through the dude's clothes. Ever. They are almost done with their remodel-the purpose of which I have no idea aside from the registers. Instead of normal registers where you stand in line and wait to be called...you stand in line and wait for an arrow on a LED screen to point at the register. Silently. This made me feel like a dork when somebody pointed it out to be an epic five seconds after I got in line- jesus , like people need another reason to go crazy over waiting in line. My old shoes were starting to hurt my feet so I decided I would take a look. Most of the time they don't have a great selection because my size is very common (9-10) depending on the shoes. But to my surprise they had a few different options for me, 2 even had memory foam built in and feel great, and again to my surprise both of these were under 29.99. So I bought both now I have 2 new pairs of shoes that feel great for my hurting feet and they are pretty stylish too ;-) read more

I come to this store to save money and to get nice clothes and housewares. They carry items you can find at the mall in Macy's or Nordstrom for much better prices. Sure it is last seasons clothes but who cares it they are cute. Towels, housewares, gourmet food stuff, kids clothes, woman and men's selection, shoes, luggage and some electronics. The store is clean and much better then other discount stores. read more
