My appointments with Dr. Bui are always quick and easy although he is also very detailed and thorough. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming as you step in. Amy has always provided excellent service over the years. They have a wide selection of glasses and the best inventory of all. I would not go anywhere else. read more

I have been coming here with my whole family for 5+ years now and I plan on never switching. Not only is the staff very professional but they are extremely kind and welcoming. Dr. Bui was quick and Amy answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. The office was clean, organized, and the entire visit was enjoyable. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for quality eye care. I promise!!! read more

Amazing place! I will always come here, I've been coming here to get my glasses ordered for the past 3x and I always leave smiling. They have the best service and the best prices. I only have great things to say, they are quick and super nice. The selection of glasses are always up to date with the newest release model. If you live in the area I recommend this place. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Bui's office since I was a kid, probably for about 15 years now. A local optometrist in evergreen. While I can't speak on ordering glasses here, I can say that the eye exams are smooth and Dr. Bui takes his time explaining what is going on with your eyes and and answering any questions you may have. He will also not change or boost your prescription without reason or if he doesn't think it is necessary. Amy is the main office person here and she is awesome. Not only is she friendly, but she makes sure everything is in order with your insurance and tries to save you the most money if possible. Overall, I have never had any issues coming here in the last 10-15 years. Make sure you CALL and schedule an appointment ahead of time, make sure they know you're coming and make sure you talk to Amy or call back if someone else answers the phone. At the end of the day this is a small business with a family feel, so try and work with them and support! read more

Prepare yourself for overpriced sunglasses and frames. However, the staff here is very knowledgeable and knows a lot about your insurance. She will help you to utilize the benefits they you have. Dr. Bui is quite chatty and he has very interesting points. I gave 4 stars for Dr. Bui and the staff. read more

Great service of this optical place, I always go there for my lenses done and eye exam annually. Amy is the one always serves and helps me on every aspect in details that I need to know on my glasses & sunglasses. Highly recommend this optical store! read more

Best service and care for over a decade when it comes to glasses and contacts! Best value ! Amy helped my family with all our vision needs while Dr Bui is most knowledgeable by using the best equipment. Love this optometry! read more

I have been going here for my whole childhood and it has been the most comfortable and quick experience from the exam to choosing my glasses! Moreover, with my high prescription, I appreciate the fast turnaround time to pick up the tailored frames because I am impatient (1 week). They always have new frames/ Brands to choose every time I go in, from Balenciaga, Prada, Versace, Oakley, to the essential of Ray Bans! But I think the best thing about this place is that the minute I step in I am welcomed in like home! The workers remember you and appreciate you, and want you to leave satisfied, there is never a scary experience Also I look good in these glasses read more

I went to them because i needed help with my vision check but all the doctor do is give me bullshit excuse telling me he cant help me because of my cateract. So i went a whole year without flasses and felt helplless. I wouldn't go to him if i didnt need help. He seriously just refused my cry for help and shot me down. Very unprofessional. I am here to update my review for this place from a couple years back. I got the help i need from another optometrist.he really made me feel helpless for a whole year. And when he did give me glasses for the one time it didny even help.i needed bifocals i kept telling him he kept saying no i cant help u.does this guy sound professional to anyone? Just putting it out there read more

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Actually I'm surprised it's still around. Search the doctor up on the optometry board and you'll find the doctor's license is on probation and has been for many years due to insurance fraud. For many years the doctor told me that my vision stayed the same and to renew my same prescription. It wasn't until I started seeing my friend who is also an optometrist that she told me the prescription was terribly wrong as I have nearly 2.25 and 1.75 astigmatism. Dr Bui never gave me astigmatism lenses so my vision suffered for many years without me knowing. I can finally see now, but no thanks to him. Honestly I thought about suing him for malpractice because it was that bad and my quality of life suffered. Bad and lazy doctor who should not be practicing honestly. read more

I'm very angry because I don't know if the doctor knows how to examine my eyes and make glasses. My left eye has astigmatism. Somehow, the glasses on my left eye got thicker. I consider myself a human being. I have severe nearsightedness, I'm really disappointed, I have insurance to pay for it, but they forced me to pay first and wait for the insurance report to be sent back later. This is the first time in my life I've seen an eyeglass shop like that. Encourage everyone to avoid this eyeglass shop read more

I have been going here for many years now and I have always had a great experience. If you want more 1:1 service, make sure you go before Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb as it is a busy time of year for them. To avoid crowds, early morning or weekday appointments will also help. I always appreciate Amy and MyVy providing me input on what glasses frames fit my face shape. As an indecisive person, it's great to have a second opinion. I have recommended a lot of my connections/family here and without a doubt they have been happy with their services. read more

I've been with Dr.Bui and Amy for over 7 years. Not only did I have the most thorough eye test, ever. Dr.Bui was awesome, friendly and explained everything clearly. Amy is friendly, welcoming and professional. They have glasses for sale on the premises too, which seem competitively priced. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and thorough service. Thanks internet, I never would have found this place by chance, as it's hidden inside Evergreen village. I highly recommend this place if you are looking to get glasses or contacts. The only con.... parking! Parking in this circle is a nightmare! If you have a flexible schedule, I recommend trying to go during off hours for your appointments or pick ups :) read more

I would give this place and this doctor 0 if I could. 1. Long waiting time even no patient there. I arrived the place to see Duc M. Bui before the appointment time. There was no other patient before me and after me. The place is almost empty. But I had waited for one hour and passed the appointment time they schedule for 30min, I still didn't see the doctor shown up. 2. Only one equipment for automatically testing prescriptions in this place vs. other doctors have at least 4 equipment for checking your eyes. They have only one eye exam machine for checking your eye prescriptions. Usually, other eye doctor's office has multiple equipment for basic eye exam, such as eye prescriptions, eye pressures, testing eye side vision, etc. also test your old glasses for your previous prescriptions. This place didn't check anything about whether your eyes are health and your previous prescriptions. 3. Duc M. Bui is not professional. He gave me wrong prescriptions. Dr. Bui used only 5 min to finish to see me. Basically, he just did verify the prescriptions the machine gave. When I asked him what was changed in my prescriptions comparing with my previous one. Dr Bui said that he doesn't care what is my previous prescriptions (my current glasses). He doesn't want to know them. He only did current one. He told me that I don't have astigmatisms. I asked why my astigmatisms are disappeared? My astigmatisms probably is worse because I could not see well during driving at the night. Dr. Bui answered: "he has magic". What?! That is not professional at all! I have to see another eye doctor because I have a lot of concern about the prescriptions Dr. Bui did. The other doctor exam results proved Dr Bui is wrong. I have worse astigmatisms and worse nearsighted vision also. I would like to share my experience. hope the above can help other patients. I felt like being adventurous and now I found myself a new optometrist. For 10+ years, I would go see the same optometrist...up until a couple of weeks ago. To be honest, I was a bit hesitant about going to this place located in Evergreen, but through word of mouth I decided I would give it a try. They have cute frames compared to the place that I went to before. Also, the price of the frames are affordable. I don't think many people know of this optometry location, but I think that will change once the library opens up next year. Anyways, Dr. Bui is very nice and he is knowledgeable. I'll definitely be a repeat patient and I will spread the word about him. read more

My glasses have been ready for a little over a week, haven't had the chance to pick them up do to my busy work schedule. As soon as I walked in they acknowledged me and welcomed us in. I gave them my name and within a fee minutes handed me my glasses. The gentleman was very helpful, brought me my glasses and explained the benefits that were added. I was very happy with my experience at the office today. Lesson learned... I'm sure they're busy towards the end of the year due to everyone trying to use there benefits. Next time I will go when it's less hectic. Good job today guys, made me change my mind completely! read more

Bui Duc - Optometrists Near Me - San Jose, California

I have been coming to this optometry office for 4 years now and their service and staff are amazing they are really helpful and give good deals. It gets a little busy on saturdays but its still worth the wait read more

This is the worst optometrist I ever met. 1. strong command Lasik first. 2. 5 mins to finished exam, even did not check left and right, just both eyes together. 3. Front desk did not tell you, the doc is not in VSP network until calculate the cost. How can the doc be like this ?! read more

Very much fair in price without insurance, better yet. Staff members and Dr. Bui very professional at not overselling . Thumbs up! read more

Lots of frames to choose from but 3-stars for the service... When I walked in, I was helped by the employee behind the counter. She was nice and informative. There was a call that came in so she went to pick it up while I was browsing. The downside to the store is that all the frames are locked under the glass counter so I couldn't try them on while the employee was taking the call.. I waited until she was done but then a lady, maybe the boss or manager, told her to help another customer, so I browsed for another 10 minutes. Realizing that I probably won't be able to get any help for another 10-20 minutes, I decided to get a new pair of glasses somewhere else. read more

What kind of eye doctor puts the word EXPIRED on your contact prescription without putting which brand is expired? I have two brands on my prescription- Biofinity and Acuvue Oasys. He put that the Acuvue Oasys expired, but didn't write the damn name of the brand. So it looked like Biofinity was expired. So I wasted my time and energy trying to buy contacts when the lady kept telling me that it was expired, so I could not buy it. Plus, his office was closed so I could not call in. read more

I regret leaving my optometrist for over 10 yrs for this doctor. Doctor was in a rush and seemed to be going through the motions. He asked for all my previous contact information from my previous doctor and just duplicated them. He did not even check the curvature of my stigmatism. I will never step foot into this office again. I will make the trek back to San Francisco and stick with my original optometrist. read more

I'm giving 5/5 rating for Manager Amy's services and assistance. She is always extremely helpful with choosing glasses and bending the frame to fit my face. Today, her assistant, Michael was so lively that he made my trip here pleasant and fun! I even found two frames that I fell in love with & trust me- I have the hardest time finding glasses and sunglasses that fit my face well. Got myself some sophisticated Prada glasses that I absolutely cannot wait for to come back in with prescribed lenses!!! Go to Amy for all your needs in the frames department! read more

Out-of-network VSP provider so you will only get 5-15% of your VSP benefits here. The staff never told me that, however, and you should specifically ask them if they accept VSP. The staff must deal with this on a daily basis so they are well trained to dance around the issue and deflect. They tried to imply that my primary insurance provider was to blame for such low benefits. One star for dishonestly. read more
