I live in an old historical part of Baltimore and came home to the lovely surprise of a thick swarm of flying ant-like insects all over the property. They were congregating around the old wood piles, so I was certain they were eating it and called up in a panic. (I had never dealt with a pest issue before and I was terrified at the thought of something possibly eating my recent purchase). So I called and he asked me to text him a few pictures. Turns out it was just citronella ants. (Generally harmless and definitely don't eat wood.) He could have easily taken me for a ride in my naivety, but he didn't. Orkin had replaced the insulation and treated this space less than 6 years ago. The cost quoted was astronomical and when I questioned it, he immediately cut the cost in half. I am very suspicious that he was trying to sell me something I didn't need. I am seriously considering finding a new pest control company.

I'm so done and disgusted with this company. Use "Fly on the wall". Pest control, they are cheaper and you will see results right away and they will text you and call you 2 days before your appointment.

Because it was a Saturday and their office was closed, we left our contact info on All Star's website. Much to my surprise, Abdul, the company owner, called me very shortly thereafter! When I explained the problem, he deemed it an emergency and offered to come to our home the following day, Sunday. He also told us exactly what it would cost (extremely reasonable). He called us again Sunday morning with an approximate time of arrival. His kept us updated by text narrowing down the exact time. He arrived "dressed for battle" in protective gear. He treated the nest several times, then waited for the hornets to expire. He was at our home for about 45 minutes. He removed the huge nest, bagged it, and took it away with him. After being pretty much held captive and not able to be in our front yard for days, this was a huge relief. I cannot say enough good things about Abdul and the service he provided. He was so knowledgeable and very friendly and personable. He explained that his practices are based on his background in biology and are environmentally friendly.
