Didn't read the reviews before we came. Just needed mac and cheese nearby after a day at the zoo, and it was handy. BOGO boneless Thursday, which wasn't exactly what Sweetie and I wanted but too good a deal to pass up. I tried their new bourbon sauce and the hot bbq. Decent boneless wings, meaty, crispy, and the sauces were fine but nothing special. Still, a ton of food at a good price. I also got cheese curds, which were pretty good, and K ate some of them and loved them (well, the cheese; she picked off the batter for some reason.) I asked for celery and got a ton, and lots of dressing. Took home wings for Sweetie, and potato wedges. K barely ate the mac and fries since she devoured curds, so we took them home for later. Not great, not bad. Appetizer combo is a pretty good value compared to other options on the menu, and I very much appreciate they use fresh jalapenos on their nachos! The pitcher specials aren't that great of a value. Their mixed drinks are surprisingly good for a chain wing spot. Pretty strong and not too sweet like a lot of other places. Sort of pricey though, overall decent value. Not sure why so many negative reviews here. It's a chain restaurant with suuuper loud games on. Not much else to expect. I prefer bdubs wings to other chains. I get their chipotle bbq dry rub, a little zingy but perfect. I would say they go pretty heavy on the dry rubs though. Less is more? If you're wanting some decent food and to watch a game I would definitely recommend coming here. It's very loud here all the time, keep that in mind. Our servers name was Zachary and the only reason I know that was because of the receipt. He did not tell us his name basically just said what can I get you after taking forever to even get to our table. He dropped the food off and almost sprinted away and I had to says hey can we get come ketchup which I had let him know we needed when ordering. After that, he never checked up on us. WHY did we go here?? I read the reviews and should have known better. The service and food was pretty bad. We went on a football Sunday night and got a seat right away - they were not busy at all. We ordered drinks and appetizers right away and then our server came back to take our entree order. I ordered the nachos, but was informed they were out of chili. What? It's 6pm on a football mid-January Sunday night, you're not busy, and you don't have chili? 25 minutes go by and still no food... we hadn't really touched our sodas but we were delivered two new drinks each - making a total of 6 full drinks on our table of two people... okay, but kind of wasteful! Finally our meals arrived, but still no appetizers. When I asked what happened to our appetizers, the server responded with "Uh, did you still want them?" WHAT?! Being as hungry as we were, we said yes. She returned within 2 minutes with the appetizers. We asked how long they had been sitting waiting to be delivered to the table and she responded "Well, our kitchen is really slow." WHAT?! The food and appetizers were all lukewarm and almost gross. Yes, I know it's a B-dubs, but knowing this I still feel as though there's a standard of B-dubbiness that must be met. The Powell location did not achieve this. We stopped here for lunch last Sunday on the way to the Zoo. I was trying to be good albeit tempted by all the yummy fried saucy morsels I usually order. With much restrain I ordered a grilled chicken salad. The salad arrived with rotten, wilty lettuce. It was truly inedible and needed to be sent back to the kitchen. The waiter came over and said it would be taken off my bill and would I like something else? I requested a replacement salad if they had fresh lettuce. He agreed to look into it with the chef. Then the manager came over and asked if they could use the same chicken on a new bed of lettuce. I thought this strange, but I was starving so I said yes. I finally received the salad I had ordered with not so much as an apology from the manager (Isn't customer satisfaction their #1 aim in these chain restaurants when they creep table to table asking if you're enjoying your meal?) I was in the mood for some wings at a place nearby. So, we stopped into BWW again. Inside, this place at first glance looks like a sports pub, but you feel like it is more of a Chucky Cheese! There was a large party (over 20 adults and children) in the dining area. So, we went back to the bar area. The kids were out of control without parental supervision in sight. Four year olds were running along bench seats. Others were chasing each other in and around the high top tables. The bartender - quite frankly - I was worried he was going to have a nervous breakdown. I raised issue with him that the situation was out of control and presented a safety issue for the kids and patrons. He disappeared to get the manager. The manager had no clue! He walks over to where the kids are (instead of approaching the large party of adults) and softly goes about "shushing" them. Really?! I know I saw him talking with the party's wait staff, What would have made most sense would have been the manager to man-up, approach the parents, make them aware safety concerns and request some parental supervision. The service was okay, but my water glass went empty and could not get assistance. I know the person waiting on us stepped out for a break, which left one wait person in the area. I ordered boneless wings. Okay - don't get them. They are a heavily breaded facsimile of chicken nuggets dunked in a hot sauce. They were overly cooked. I did have to look inside to check and see if there was any actual chicken meat. I rarely will give a one star, but this place deserves it. On more than one occasion, kids are running around without parental supervision. The place does offer different video games.
