It's a Buffalo Wild Wings, so you basically know what you're getting into before you walk through the door. It's a fine spot to watch a game because they have tons of TVs, but the overall experience here can be a total roll of the dice. When it's good, it's fine, but when they are busy, the wheels definitely start to fall off. We came in for some beers and wings last week, and the service was incredibly slow. It took forever just to get our initial drink order, and when the food finally showed up, the wings were barely lukewarm. To their credit, they tasted fine and had plenty of sauce on them, but you could tell they'd been sitting under a heat lamp for a minute while our server was running around dealing with too many tables. If you just want a cold draft beer and a place to sit with a group to catch a game on Deer Park Ave, it does the job. The service started off poor. It looked like they were understaffed unfortunately. The place was pretty empty. We must have stood at the hostess desk for 10-15 minutes waiting to be helped and seated with another couple behind us. Someone eventually came to seat us and dropped us off by the high-top bar seating area. The saving grace was the bartender, dani, she was amazing, on top of her game, and super friendly. They had $4 appetizers after 9pm, we went with the mozzarella sticks and pretzel knots and both were done well. Placed a takeout order to be picked up at 6:40pm. Get there, am told they're 15 mins behind. Ok, no big deal, it is Super Bowl Sunday. 15 mins go by am told it's 30 mins behind. 30 mins go by am told they're an hour and a half behind. They have no idea how behind they are, they dont care. I have to indeed give this location a one star. That star is for the niceness from the staff that was handling my order. I ordered ahead of time on the app and they give you a time in which your order should be ready. I approached the counter and ask for my order. She insured me that my order was in the system but not ready yet. I found that odd because according to the app my order should of been ready. I didn't order much. I ordered a 6 piece Parmesan and Garlic wing (boneless) for me and a 12 piece wings for my friend. So as you can see the order wasn't huge at all. Stopped in for a quick beverage first off the bathroom was completely dismantled. I had to sit down with no privacy. Then it took me 20 minutes to order something to drink and got the worst service I've ever gotten from Ben. Who tried to deny me service after waiting so long because I had something to say about it. I wasn't mad that I was IDed I was mad it took him 15 minutes to take an order for three people and I'm sitting at a dirty bar that's almost empty. I asked one of the servers who happened to be nice if someone else could serve me and she said no when the whole time the manager could have. I could only imagine what terrible service I would've gotten if it was busy. Manager finally came out, and I tried to explain, but she didn't listen to me either. Let me preface by saying that I have no issue with BBW's food or staff. I've enjoyed their food in countless locations across the country, at all hours. It's always been a "go to" place for me and my friends. And, I've been an app user for years, pretty much since it first came out. Unfortunately, I will no longer be a BBW customer. The reason for this is simple. They have recently instituted a "take out fee" because I am a walk in customer. It's not the cost, it's the principle! It is a blatant cash grab even though it's only a buck wt a time. It's not right and it's unfair! If I could give ZERO stars I would!!! I went to the North Babylon, NY location on February 9, 2025 which was Super Bowl Sunday. I made an online purchase at 5:31pm for $56.48 and I used my points for other items. I got to the location for 6:25pm or a little after but before the order time. The online order said the food would be ready at 6:40pm so I waited. There were soo many people in the lobby, they had to shut down the online ordering and wouldn't seat anyone because the orders were backed up. I asked twice about the order. A young white female with glasses, she had a blue football jersey on, told me that "it would be out in 30 mins, they were backed up with orders", the second time I was told by another young white female with a nose piercing, and a blonde bob cut "the kitchen has the order, but they didn't know when it would be out". I waited over an hour before deciding to cancel my order. The first young lady with the glasses and the blue jersey I spoke with asked me for my card number, I gave it to her. She then told me they couldn't cancel it yet because they were busy, so they would cancel it the following day. I had an issue with that, I asked her for something in writing, or if she can give me anything that says my order was canceled. She then stressed to me that the manager and she pointed to him and said he's really good and he's going to return it tomorrow, you should it come off in a few days. The manager is a black male with a bald head, about 5'4-5'6. I didn't want to argue so I left with NOTHING! I dispute my charge the following Sunday. Apple tells me on February 21 2025 that the merchant told them they "issued the credit already". I have not received any credit/ refund/ points back to my account/ or an email stating my refund! I've been to other locations, but not this one, until last night. Came with a big group...2 adults and 6 teenagers. We were seated right away. Everyone knows going out with teenagers can be a huge hassle, but our waitress was very patient with everyone as teenagers take forever to decide what they want to eat. She was kind as well and never took her smile off of her face. Although there was a time gap when everyone's food came out, everyone's food was hot and delicious. She made sure we had everything that we needed....silverware, soda/water refills, sauces, dips, etc. Everyone in our group got something different...wings, burgers, chicken sandwiches, tacos, onion rings, fries.... all variety. The food seems to be consistent across the brand. I usually stick to my favorite two choices, the Grilled Chicken Buffalitos or Boneless Wings both with the Mango Habanero Sauce period. In my opinion the service separates a great location from a mediocre location being the food has always been pretty consistent. I thought the service here was good during lunch service. I have been frequenting the North Babylon Wild Wings for lunch for a few years now. I always have an enjoyable lunch, as the staff is ALWAYS nice, and I love the menu. I'm a wings fanatic, but I've also really enjoyed the great burgers, and other items. There are great things on the barfood menu, such as street tacos, chili con queso ... mix it up! My wife and I go here in the evening at least a few times a month, and, again, enjoyable. Did I mention that the people that work here are great? All but one visit this year have been awful experiences. There was the horrendous Super Bowl pre order debacle, where dozens and dozens of people with paid and scheduled online orders for pick up between 5pm and 630pm waited in a disorganized mess to be told their order wouldn't be ready for another 60-90mins AFTER the scheduled pick up time (and after the start of the game). There were a couple other dine in experiences that were slow and all around bad. There was one good one. This past Wednesday night my family of 4 came in around 530-6pm. The place was almost empty. It was very dark, low energy, and the only thing that greeted you when you stood in lobby was a disgusting smell. We expected to sit quickly bc there was only one group of 6 waiting and a ton of empty tables. We all stood there in the lobby with no workers to be seen or heard for 5 mins. We had to ask if anybody was working and if we could sit. First the girl said they were setting up 2 groups of 8. We waited another few minutes, the girl who was setting those up finished and came to hostess table. We asked her if we could sit now, "no I have to wait for the other girl to sit you". We wait another couple of minutes, the other girl joins her at stand. We ask again if we could sit at one of the many open tables "it will be about a 5-10 min wait". This place is a joke.
