I've been coming to this Buffalo for so long and recently the staff have not been on their A game, I'm very dissatisfied with the service. My friends and I came for a birthday meal at 8:40pm and there were plenty of seats open yet we were told that there weren't enough seats, my buddy handed the server his number because she had asked for his number so she can call him back when there was a table open, we then waited for half an hour with no phone call or text message and we then proceeded to walk back inside to ask for an update and we were told that they can't serve anymore and that they're I Ku accepting take out. We now have to go to a local McDonald's for my buddys birthday while also being very disappointed. read more

My husband and I order from here and take it to go often. (Going out to eat with a toddler is sometimes challenging but we still like to eat like we're out.) Tonight we ordered the same thing we usually do, but when we got home and started unpacking we realized it was not up to their usual standard-- like not even close. I called and spoke with Manager Brandon and he rectified the situation with a complete refund. He was professional, polite and understanding and truly made me believe that he cared. Last night I stopped by this restaurant to pickup dinner and was treated horribly. The cashier could not get the system to accept the order so we waited. Another cashier came and said the first cashier did it incorrectly so we waited. After getting our order through and paying cash, the cashier told us our order would be ready in 20-40 minutes and we could swing back through. I told him we would wait. He indicated we could not wait and I asked him why. He rambled something without making eye contact that it was covid protocol and that it was what his manager wanted. I reminded him that his response had no basis as there were other people in the restaurant all not wearing mass including the staff and they never asked for vaccine records by the way, we were wearing mass. In the meantime, another couple who came in after us overheard what we were being told and uttered that it did not make sense to them. I asked to cancel the order so we could leave and go somewhere else more accommodating with clear policies. It was then that the manager told me he could not give me back my cash and that it would talk 7-10 business days to get my money back. All the while, he did not ask for my name, or address. Nothing about this encounter with the staff here made sense and seems like it was racist. I would never go back to this restaurant and would encourage others not to. I indicated to the manager that I would not be leaving until I got my cash back and would call the police if he did not give me my cash back. Interestingly enough, he was able to give me the cash after I said I would not leave and would call the police. Please do not patronize this restaurant. My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant for several months now. Sometimes 4 times in the month. The service is NEVER the same and has honestly gotten to be horrible. I get you get different servers and they do different things however there is a basic rule in being a server. Tend to your patrons. Which means check on them from time to time. Make sure they have the basic items...Like silverware.... napkins.....drinks.....make sure their order is correct. When or if it's not make sure they get hot food when they do finally get it right. After all having to wait longer only to get cold food just makes the experience worse. Very disappointed with our last experience with this place. The only thing good with the place was the hostess who was the one who ended up tending to us because our waitress was too busy tending to her other tables to notice all of the problems. She never once acknowledged any of it either. I'm sure people would say why didn't you say something. Well because it never goes anywhere. Me and my now fiance used to come here all the time when we were still in high school, but it has rapidly gone down hill from there. We aren't talking the atmosphere or the people, those we have never actually had an issue with. The sad part is we would always order the chipotle ranch wrap and it was maybe $9-$11 when we first started going and it was worth the money, it was quite large then. I used to only be able to eat about half of it. Fast forward to today and the wrap now fits in a tiny to go box... Im talking the little ones that you would put your left over 4 wings in. Not stacked on top of each other or anything. Small amount of chicken vs the amount of actual tortilla... and to add on to the insult of how small it is they bumped the price up?! $13.00 for the little tiny wrap. Sad to say the chicken buffalitos may be a better deal on the amount of food you get vs the price. I don't normally leave reviews for chains. I mean lets be honest, nobody needs me to provide insight on Buffalo Wild Wings. With that said, I feel a little compelled to leave a review for this particular location after my experience there yesterday. My wife and I stopped in to fulfill our wing craving yesterday around lunch time. Buffalo Wild Wings isn't my favorite spot to grab wings but it's not bad. As far as the location is concerned, it's a nicer building. The floor plan is much brighter than most BWW locations I've been too, so that was nice. Look, at the end of the day this was a Buffalo Wild Wings like any other. The wings were like the wings are at other Buffalo Wild Wings. The televisions are the same as they are at other Buffalo Wild Wings. The reason I'm giving this place four stars, rather than the three stars that most BWW establishments probably get is because of the management. Halfway into our visit, I asked the manager if their location offered the Longhorn Network. Long story short, it's an ESPN affiliate position that's popular down in Texas. The manager quickly went to the back to check their channel guides. As it turned out, they don't carry the station (at least outside of Football season). She could have left it at that and moved on. She had fulfilled my request. However about five minutes later, she came out with a channel guide listing all of the channels that BWW does provide. She also wrote some notes on the paper listing other networks that they purchase during the football season. She had also brought out another employee (possibly another manager) who knew quite a bit about each of the channels that were provided during the football season and he confirmed that they usually show a lot of Texas games during the season. They provided me with the store contact information and told me who I could talk with closer to the start of the season to get any answers I needed. In my opinion, this was going above the call. And any company that is willing to go above the call deserves my repeat business. So Longhorn Network or not, I'll be visiting again. read more

This location is great, the staff seem like their having fun and actually enjoy being at work. I love how they want you to try to flavors and will bring you fries out and with new flavor sauce to try, let's you go out of your comfort zone without committing all of your wings to a new flavor. I'm so glad they put a location in Mchenry and so close to me. read more

Ok, not only did I just Order food 20 min and just picked it up 2 min ago. I have heard nothing good about this place, and I will only do take out because it takes so long to get your food when you dine in. So this is the 4th-5th time I've done take out. Every time they get the name wrong after I tell them on the phone they are wrong. I go inside they tell me To go to the bar because they have no one at the counter. I get my food and there is no sauce so I ask for ranch and honey mustard and they tell me they ran out of honey mustard for the corn dogs..... How does one run out of this?? The staff were excellent from our attentive server Regan to the fun "guest experience captain" Chris who gave us samples of sauce to try. Very hit or miss on service and food quality. I've been in there when it is empty and still had to wait 20 min for an appetizer and it came out cold and incorrect. Other times the server has been "Johnny-on-the-spot" and we had a great experience. On one occasion, my daughter's food came out incorrect from what we ordered. When we brought it to the attention of our server, she showed us the bill and said "See, I put it in right!". That was helpful. The manager seems to want to improve this location but having 6 young ladies standing around the hostess station chit chatting instead of helping patrons doesn't seem like a recipe for success. read more

Walked in to get my order and huge line for people eating in when there's plenty of open tables. While waiting for the order girl to get off the phone another comes up and asks someone who is standing in line for a table for pickup and I say me and the girl was annoyed to have to punch in to help me. Wing specials are on Tuesday and Thursday nights, which are really nice if you're eating on a budget. Besides those nights, everything else is a little bit overpriced. I don't understand why some people love Buffalo Wild Wings- besides being a good atmosphere to watch sports, there is nothing good about it. Every time I go (tonight was the third and last) I am highly disappointed. First let me begin by stating I have been in the service industry for over ten years, and being a server I know how important it is to greet a table promptly. My husband and I decided to go to the location in McHenry, and we decided to sit outside. We were seated for six minutes before our server came out. We ordered a couple of drinks, waters and milk for our son. After waiting again, our server Courtney comes outside with all of the drinks NOT on a tray and spilling all over. I could see not using a tray for two to three, given yes it's easier not to, but for five, Come on! Then we order appetizers and I asked her if I could have plain cheese quesadillas for my one year old son- who was sitting next to us. Not only does she not mention there is spicy sauce on them, they come out looking like they would light my son's tongue on fire. Needless to say, she does not come back to check on us - so the nicest hostess and another server helped us to send them back (he even brought him out oranges as the baby was very hungry). Still no sign of Courtney!!! After we get the correct quesadillas (not brought out by Courtney) we waited for over 20 minutes for a wrap and wings. If it were my guess- she forgot to put our order in. She never came out to check on my sons new quesadillas so I couldn't ask her. Finally our food came- my baby was starting to get fussy- so we wanted to pay and box it up. Waited longer again-she finally opens the door- (eating food) turns around and goes back in. Had to flag down another server so we could leave. Courtney came back to take my money, quick of course, and didn't apologize. Hands down worst service. I will NEVER go again. read more

SERVICE SUCKS, and the kitchen gets orders wrong every time... We have been to the Buffalo Wild Wings chain many times, and the McHenry location simply stinks. We gave it several tries hoping we just had a bad first experience, but it just keeps getting worse. We went back in October for my Husband's birthday. It was about 8:30pm. First, the waitress lost our order. After waiting over 30 minutes for our food, she finally realized it and had to re-take our order. She couldn't even find the original order ticket! Then when our wings finally did come out, they were wrong! We did get our (incorrect) food for free that night after waiting for over an hour, and we got a free snack size wings coupon. So we went back (now, 2 months later) to use our coupon. We sat there for 5 minutes before anyone even came over. Then when we asked about beer prices (because of course they can't list the prices on their drink menu). We asked for a few minutes to decide. It took her another 10 minutes to come over to take our beer order. Then, they were out of the beer we were going to get (of course), so she offered to come back, and I said that I would rather she just wait a minute while we decided because we had somewhere we had to be after dinner. She took our beer order... 10 minutes later we still didn't have our beers. We were there over 25 minutes before we got our beer, and the only reason we did was because another server came over to see why we still only had water and still had our menus. So we ordered, and then our wings took another 15 minutes to come out, and they almost delivered the wrong wings, but caught it before they put them down on our table. Half of the wings were barely warm (like they had forgotten about the rest of the order and cooked half of it fresh while the other half sat there and got cold). Then we asked for the check, which we received, and we said we needed to get going. I had to catch her as she was walking by later to take the payment because she forgot to come back. On two separate occasions with 2 separate servers, our service sucked and our order was wrong. It took over an hour to get 1 beer and some wings. We will not be back to the McHenry location. We usually give our business to Wings Etc. in CL or Antioch, but the McHenry Buffalo Wild Wing is in a good location, and there are no other close wings places, so we thought we would give it a shot... bad idea! And on another note - their menus suck. You can get wings in sizes instead of pieces (snack, small, medium, etc.), so you don't know how many wings will actually come out. And they have no prices on any of their drinks. It's like they are misleading on purpose. read more

Both service and food quality at this location are a gamble. There are some waiters and waitresses that are fantastic, but the bulk of the staff is pretty bad. Sometimes the orders take an obscene amount of time. Sometimes the food comes out cold. The location has its good days, but they are far outweighed by the bad ones. read more

Like other BWW's, this newer location has consistently good wings. I've never seen it crowded so it is always easy to get a table and be served quickly. Pro tip: sit at the bar counter for the fastest and best service. Bush is the best bartender of the whole chain. read more

Called in placed a order. Asked again if a certain sauce could be used for dipping. They assured me everything would be great. 25 minutes later I went to pick up the food. Was not ready, so I paid and tipped even though I was just picking up. I waiting yet another 20 minutes before they packed my food. When will I learn that places like this can care less what crap they feed you if you are taking out instead of eating in. Brought home the food. EVERYTHING was separated for 5 different people. So I had about 20 small boxes. I have never seen something so stupid ever. All the wrong sauces (that made me so mad) and the wings that had bones were so dry it was like leather. The boneless wings were so gross my dog passed it up too. When you bit into them it was like biting into a TUMOR. I am so not kidding. This place needs rehab....It is so bad. The only location that really cares about the consumer is Mount Prospect. So sad-cost me a small fortune for basically food that sucked. Not again EVER! read more

Went here for dinner with my wife on a Saturday at about 5 o'clock and it was not busy at all. So we got seated and right out of the gate it took 10 min for a server to come take our drink order so we order our food when she is there she repeats our order and says everything back perfectly. We sit there for about 30 min waiting for our food finally it shows up mine is right but my wife's is totally wrong so we send it back. Another 20 minutes goes by and my wife's food is still not back and me being the good husband I am wanted to wait to eat with my wife so in the meantime my food gets cold. During this time our drinks were empty with no server in sight like she literally came by once and that was it. I asked for the manager and she comes over and says she will fix the problem 10 min later our regular server comes by and says the kitchen is remaking your order it should be out in awhile.....seriously awhile???? We've already been sitting here now for a hour at least at this point my wife just says cancel her order and bring check. The manager finally comes out wit her order. They comped the bill but this place has terrible service. read more
