When I lived in Maryland, I went to BWW many times in the last 20+ years, mainly for the boneless chicken. I'm reviewing the one in Marion for the first time, although I've ordered (delivery) from it on numerous occasions. For a change, I decided to try their All American cheeseburger. It comes standard with TWO smashed burgers. I took off the lettuce/tomatoes and added bacon. I gotta tell you: this cheeseburger surprised me, not only with the huge size, but the flavor. It really tasted good. Cooked perfectly, well seasoned, bacon was thick. In other words, this burger rocks! My only (minor) complaint would be the minced grilled onions, which kept falling off the burger, when I took a bite. A little annoying, to say the least. (Sorry.) I would suggest cutting them into slices, then grilling them; they would stay firmly on it. The bun holds up well, not disintegrating in your hands, as you are eating the burger. (I hate when that happens!) I also got a regular salad; pretty big for a side. NOTICE: BWW cheeseburger is now my favorite in Marion. A tad pricey, but well worth the money. No shrink-flation here! Do yourself a favor: ORDER ONE. You will not be disappointed. Very recommended for anyone loving their burgers. read more

We visited on a Sunday late afternoon, post golf tournament. I had a hangry teenager who chose the location for dinner and wanted some wings. We ordered the mix and match bottomless appetizer, which is currently on special. You can order two things at a time from the list of apps. We started with mozzarella sticks and chips with queso. We didn't see our server again until the rest of our food came out, around 20 minutes later. This prevented us from ordering additional appetizers or having any drink refills. Once she arrived again, we asked for both and she seemed exasperated that we would ask for anything. For the second round of apps, we chose fried pickles and more mozzarella sticks. Eventually the second round of appetizers came out at the end of the meal, so we just asked for boxes at that point. They were not busy, with plenty of open tables, and plenty of servers. I think ours just wasn't the best, unfortunately. All together we ordered ten wings with fries, two buffalo chicken wraps with fries, and the bottomless appetizer. One is the only star I can give this place because it has to be rated by a star. This was the night that the Chiefs were playing and let me tell you we didn't get our food until after the game. Our game was lukewarm at best. It was ridiculous. When the manager came out, he said why don't see how it was only sitting in the window for five minutes And it's like really five minutes before the game. It was ridiculous if you're gonna come in for the food here, make sure it's not during a Chiefs game because you won't get your food until that game is over because another couple came in right after the game and boy they got their food right away so I don't know what the secret is other than don't come in on a major football night and it's not like we dropped a short amount of change and when he came out and we told him our food was lukewarm he said well I can remake it for you. It's like no I don't have a half hour to wait for my food which it took for the first Set of food to come out and it was all lukewarm so now we understand why I got 2 1/2 stars so be aware when coming here not all B dubs are this way but this one really bites big time so be careful with this one. They suck. Oh in the ambience well, it's a sports bar. It's a bunch of TVs dirty floor and very loud and it was during the Chiefs games so there's a lot of yelling. What else can you ask for? Dined for the very first time at the Marion,Illinois location with my family on Wednesday night. The restaurant was fairly busy even though we apparently arrived right before the dinner rush. We were a party of "6" and were sat within 6 minutes. We were greeted and taken to our table after it was put together for us. Taylor had just came on for her night shift and she was on point. The dining experience was very good. We had a little wait on the food but my nephews played trivia on the TV and time went my quickly. Taylor got our food out and distributed in a timely manner. Her service was professional and efficient. I'm in the Industry myself and I greatly appreciate it. Plus I'm a former B-Dubs manager from St Louis. I'd definitely come back this location. I've been to literally 100 BWW's across the US over many years. I stopped in at this one and sat at the bar. The nice overworked barkeep was doing her best as the place was quite full. I ordered the brisket tacos. I understand that brisket, by definition is a fatty -type meat. I receive my 3 barely warm tacos in good time. Very small amount of meat in each to begin with, which was an immediate disappointment. I hit some fat in #2 and removed it and went on. I bit into Taco #3 and hit the mother load of fat. Not to be gross but it required full removal and it LITERALLY was the entire protein content of this taco. See attached pic. I waited until the super busy waitress had a breather and asked her if they could replace this 1 taco. I did not ask for a replacement order nor hinted I wouldn't pay. She said " I'll ask," that immediately told me a lot. What dining establishment wouldn't simply make 1 more taco to preserve a happy customer? ...........This one. Incredibly she tells me they told her "...No, that's it's a fatty thing kind of meal" we just kind of looked at each other, stunned. I know there's not much she can do, it's not her fault and I will not take it out on her financially. Hence I'm writing this review. UPDATE: I asked to speak with mgr. he told me they can't just make me 1 brisket taco since there's no way to account for it in their system. Wow.... I ordered takeout here. I waited 30 min after the time it was supposed to be done. I got my order and went home. I ordered 30 wings, I was given 20. I went back to the store because of the issue and had to wait until they cooked new wings for 15-20 minutes. They said the confusion was that one of the sauces they didn't have anymore and I ordered boneless wings of a flavor and traditional wings of the same flavor. Seems strange that because of "confusion" they would just leave out the wings. I asked the manager if part of the meal could be comped. He went and got a card that i didn't read until I got home. It was an expired coupon for $5 of $25 that was only valid at this store. My order was still wrong. If you're going to eat here, CHECK YOUR ORDER. I'm dumb and made the mistake multiple times to not. You pay way too much for this to not get the food you ordered. The manager clearly didn't care and this is not the first time I've had an issue here. If you want wings you are LITERALLY better off getting them at any of the bars in town or Walts because they will taste better, be cheaper, and you'll get what you ordered. This BDubs location leaves much to be desired. I've been here several times and each time the service has been terrible. I walked in and it took 5 minutes to even be greeted...workers were walking past and they ignored me. Finally seated and the waitress was not very friendly. She seemed more concerned with having a conversation with her coworker than actually tending to her tables. The food is decent but nothing to write home about. Most of the time my wings aren't even fully drenched in sauce. I do like the atmosphere at BDubs but this particular location is not one of their best. read more

The wife and I went their for lunch. We got seated with our menus, and that's when the service stopped. After 15 minutes of waiting for someone to take our drink order, another couple came in. After an additional 10 minutes of waiting, I finally saw a server. The server went over to the couple that showed up 15 minutes after us. This is the second bad experience I had at this location, I have only been twice. We got up and left. We went to O Charley's, where we were promptly seated with menus and immediately got our drink orders takin. Every few years I give BWW a try to see if the food gets any better. It never does. I volunteer for a soup kitchen and the food there is higher quality - and that's no joke. Today I went "light" and tried the Santa Fe salad. They filled it with a bunch of tortilla pieces, and then more whole tortillas on top - for what? BS filler and to hide the low quality ingredients underneath. The tomatoes were a mild pink, hardly any red. Even though it's a salad you can tell by the colors that there's nothing very nutritious here. I got an airplane salad at an airplane price. I'm the type though that would rather pay $20 for great food than $10 for crap. But that's not the BWW corporate M.O. My buddy got a small boneless wings for $12 that had 8 pieces. Not much value. I suggest if you have to come here, get a beer and watch TV. Those are the only good items. Eat elsewhere, the food stinks. Per usual BWW. The girls behind the bar were very nice. Everytime we order carry out it is messed up, spent $40 on food just for them to forget the drinks, salsa, tomatoes on my wrap and the wings were very tough and hard. Your basic Buffalo Wild Wings. Not outstanding, not mediocre but competent and unsurprising. We specifically stopped at this location to watch the World Cup. The two stars is for the service, not the food. The food I would give five alone. However, the service here is horrible. I didn't even get a table, we had a call in order and ran out on our lunch break at work. I was nearly late getting back to work because no one came over to the take out counter. I made eye contact with no less than four different wait staff, and not a single one came over. I get that maybe they weren't working the takeout counter, but they could have acknowledged the fact that, yes, there is in fact someone waiting there to get their food. Food of which had been ordered as soon as they opened and would have already been ready at that point. When someone finally came over she was nice, which was refreshing considering the cold shoulders we kept getting from the rest of the wait staff. We have had terrible experiences with this restaurant for the past 18 months, but we hit our breaking point on Thursday, September 16, 2021. We usually get our orders to go and without fail, our orders have been incorrect. I completely understand how difficult these past 18 months have been due to COVID, but at some point, this establishment has to find a process that works. We've ordered 5 times from them in the past 18 months and EVERY time, there has been something screwed up. Tonight, my wife was continually ignored before someone helped her. The waitress came out and my wife misheard her (the order was for Matty, but my wife repeated our name back, to which the waitress said "Oh yes, that's who it's for" Come to find out, I had already paid for it online (my fault for not letting her know I had already paid). She ended up paying for this order as well. When we realized that it had been screwed up, she went back in and was treated very rudely by the pick-up waitress, who was mad she took the wrong order (even though my wife repeated our name back to her). We were given no receipt for my wife to check. When she asked to speak to the manager, my wife was continually brushed off until she found the manager herself. At this point, we just asked for a full refund. We ended up with the other families food, but it was nothing we wanted. The food itself is ok, but we can not support the restaurant anymore. We'll be sticking with our hometown pizza and wing joint from now on. read more

We were just there for an early apps/dinner at 5pm CST. We were seated at a high top to the left of the bar (if you are facing the bar as you enter the restaurant). To our left is the patio with a sliding door. The staff was busy scooting chairs to accommodate more diners (I'm guessing) to come this evening. The chair screeching was incredibly loud and long as they dragged chairs across the concrete floor repeatedly - and repeatedly. After 10-15 minutes into listening to it and not being able to have a conversation, I got up and closed the sliding doors. There was a petite blonde woman who immediately yelled at me, saying "It's not our fault it's loud!" She then glared at me throughout the screeching and scraping after she opened the door back up (with no customers there while it was going on). Our waitress was good - no complaints about her or the food. We enjoy going to this chain, but we won't be going back to the Marion establishment. I work in marketing for a large university, and I can say this team of employees need some customer service review asap. Very disappointed. read more

I placed a pickup order around 6 PM for pickup at 7:30 PM. I placed the order online so should not be any misunderstanding on the order. We walked over from the hotel at 7:30 to pick up the order. Unfortunately, our order was not ready and it was after 8 PM before we got it. We did not take the time to look at the order before walking back to hotel, but when we did they had given us boneless wings versus traditional. Owner offers to pay for the next meal and then they forgot half of the food and no sauce on the wings the second time. I guess they can't seem to take an order correctly?
