My ID expired less than 2 weeks ago and so I showed my FOID card (also a state recognized ID) and the lady was very rude about it. Fine no alcohol for me a grown adult who is 30 years old. Then the waitress each time she comes to the table makes little comments which eventually cause my girlfriend to cry. As I go to pay I decide I want to talk to a manager so I go up front to pay and as I try to ask the lady at the front for a manager the waitress pushes her aside and tells her it's her table and she'll "deal" with me. As I'm paying she decides to make a few more petty comments about how I should have brought an unexpired ID. I can't actually believe that now my girlfriend's favorite cafe is a place she's said she doesn't want to go again and I agree with her. We went on 11/28/25 at about 11-11:30 and sat at table 12.
