We have enjoyed The Frenchman's Widow several times since my first review, but this was our first visit on the balcony. The weather was perfect for it, and I love dining outside so when we walked in to be seated we asked for the balcony seating. You take the stairs up to the second floor and then walk out onto the balcony. Service was exceptional. Our waitress was knowledgeable, made suggestions, took our drink order and food orders quickly and brought everything right out. This time I ordered the chips and queso for a starter, and the chicken quesadilla for my meal. Both were very good. My husband had the CRP sandwich with crispy chicken and French fries. You can also get it with grilled chicken if you prefer. Everything came out hot and fresh. Large enough portions that half of everything went home for lunch the next day. Check them out! read more

Food wasn't good at all. Meat tasted spoiled. Silverware was dirty and so was the glasses.

The food was outstanding. I ordered the widow it was a chicken sandwich with onion rings bacon. I took off the onion rings to fit it in my mouth. I had a substitute the fries for fried mushrooms I wasn't expecting a lot of mushrooms but I was pleasantly surprised. The taste was great. Wife had a plate full can't remember the name but it was a burger covered with fries and loaded with bacon and cheese. The place was busy and we still got are food quickly. read more

Simply one of, if not the best place to eat in town. All three waitresses were incredibly attentive, ensuring that we had everything we needed. In particular, Bailey went above and beyond to make our experience perfect. She was kind and fast! The entire staff made my family feel welcomed. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We had a group, and between us all we got the French Dip, Parmasean chicken wings, the CBR, the patty melt. For appetizers we had the loaded nachos and the bruschetta with feta cheese. All of us had that feeling of "I think I picked the best thing on the menu" because everything was fantastic. We had so much food left to take home too. You can really tell that they take pride in their food and service. I can't recommend it enough! Also, everything was very clean! Ok..it was Friday of Memorial Weekend & it was packed..they had a band upstairs & HerrinFest was going on but after over an hour of waiting on 2 sandwiches...I was kinda disappointed that they didn't taste as good as they were before...everyone was friendly though....... read more

To start off probably the best onion rings I have ever had.! Absolutely would come just for them. Also had the Philly which was awesome. Been craving a good Philly and struck out at a lot of places around town. Finally got one. The fries were seasoned great as well. Looking forward to trying their burgers next time. read more

Wish we had the experience I've read from other reviewers. We went in tonight and waited for 10 minutes to be waited on and left. Three servers walked by us, so they knew we were there; just didn't seem to care. The place was busy, but not overrun and there appeared to be plenty of staff. I had a text when we walked in, so I knew the time, and at 5 minutes we decided to give it another 5 minutes. We went down two blocks to Joe's Pizza and was waited on immediately (even though they were packed) and had excellent service and food. read more

Atmosphere is fine. Waiters and waitress were all excellant. The food was just okay. Bread sticks which I remembered as yummy were cold, hard and tasteless. Salad dress wasn't as good as I remembered it either. And they have taken my favorite dish Portabella mushroom Ravioli off the menu!! Loved that dish!!! And the sauce!!! read more

Went to lunch with a couple friends. First of all I absolutely love the building. Decor is really nice. The place was pretty dead. Only one other table of customers at noon on a Saturday. We sat at the bar instead of a table. Service was prompt. We ordered bruschetta, spin dip and wings. I wish i would have taken a picture but I forgot. The presentation of food was nice. The bruschetta had balsamic glaze drizzled on the plate. I wish they would have put it on the bruschetta though. I wouldn't order it again but it wasn't bad. The Spin Dip as they call it was really good. Spinach artichoke dip and the chips were fried fresh and warm. I really enjoyed it. The wings were super good too. Smoked and then flash fried so they were crisp and hot. We chose the nasty sauce. Their name, not mine. Lol. I would definitely not call it nasty, more like tasty. I would order them again. As I went to the restroom to clean my hands after lunch I saw the sign that said on Saturday if you buy a appetizer you get one 1/2 off. When we got bill they hadn't given us the discount. Waitress had to ask manager because she didn't know. Waitress was personable and very nice. Definitely will be back. I gave this 4 stars because it was above average but not a 5 star review. read more
