Fettuccine with chicken

I haven't updated in a while, so I added several new photos of some of our favs. We are regulars and visit at least once per week. Love the patio! On Mondays they have $1 wings, Wednesdays they have $5 margaritas and live music. Fridays and Saturdays they have a prime rib special. Sunday is Fried Chicken. My current fav is the Southwest Chicken Wrap and I get it in a bowl with fries. It's spicy because of the poblano ranch dressing, and has great flavor. The bacon jam brussel sprouts are a great starter and are one of our favs. The service is always great! If you try them out, let me know what you think!

I have never come across such crude, rude and classless group of people. We sat for nearly twenty minutes without even greeted by our waiter.15 minutes in she passes by and says "oh I need to get you cups". At around 25 minutes in I tell my wife to get up as we are leaving. I came back and pointed out to the waitress that they not even bothered to take our order. There was no manager in the floor and it shows. This is a typical issue of places that pretend to be something that they are not. Setting up the decor, lighting and furniture is not that hard. You can get the look but it does not mean that you have the product or that you can manufacture the experience of fine dinning. It starts manners followed by the usual conventions from how to set the table to details as small as knowing from which side to serve and to retire a dish. In the end if you do not have high quality food made with high quality ingredients everything above becomes a moot point. Once I saw them serving chicken parmigiana served with Alfredo pasta I knew this was not going to be good. Do yourselves and avoid this parody of restaurant.

Buffalo wings, very good and not drowned in sauce.

Had a great visit here since we were staying as Harvest Hosts. No time to play golf but had cocktails and dinner. Great service at the bar with Josh. Perfect old fashions cocktails, and seriously ice cold beers. Decor is very nice, especially for a golf course restaurant. Pork chop was very good, mashed potatoes were real and great. Chicken wings were plump and cooked perfectly, not drowned in sauce like some places. Stuffed chicken was over cooked on the outside, too hard to eat. The manager took care of this for us by giving us dessert which was nice. With all of the restaurants in the area, this is like a quiet little gem down the road on a beautiful golf course setting. There is also outdoor seating.

The Turn has great food - lots of options and a good amount of items. Love their toasted ravioli, wings and cocktails. The outside patio has great views of the course and staff are very friendly.

Burger sliders appetizer

This was my second time at The Turn and it was so good I can't stop thinking about it. The free bread that they give you was delicious along with my potato soup that I opted for over a salad. The burger trio appetizer was a lot bigger than we were expecting and all the burgers were very tasty. I ordered stuffed chicken and it was one of my favorite meals I have ever had.

Their meatloaf was a good sized portion, and it was also delicious.

The Turn is a great little spot attached to a golf course in Marion, IL. It's a small, but inviting space that features a full bar with an impressive selection of bourbon (yeah, they had Pappy), and some very reasonably priced bottles of wine. Me my wife and my daughter bellied up to the bar on a Friday night for dinner, and had a really nice experience. The 2 bartenders were both super friendly, and their service was top notch. They knew the menu and offered up some great recommendations. We ordered some wings to start, and the two sauces recommended to us (Thai Garlic and Jerk Chicken) were both great. The wings weren't breaded, but they were meaty. Nothing earth shattering, but good. I ordered the Pepper Crusted Pork Chop for my entree. It was tender and full of flavor. The charred asparagus was a great compliment to the chop, and the masked potatoes were definitely home made. Really nice dish. My wife and daughter split their meatloaf. The wife and I aren't exactly "let's order the meatloaf" types of people. In my world, the best meatloaf is typically made at home, but my daughter loves it, and will typically always order it out if it's on a menu. So, she picked this dish and they both loved it. They gave them two big slices that were very filling and very flavorful. Places like this get lost in the sea of chain restaurants that populate so many interstate exits in the Midwest. Within 3 miles of this place was a Texas Roadhouse, an Applebee's, a Red Lobster, a Chili's and an O'Charley's. Not to mention virtually every fast food chain you can think of. Do yourself a favor and skip all that bullshit. Open Yelp! and spend your money at a place like The Turn. The three of us had three drinks, a bottle of wine, an appetizer and two entrees and our bill was under $100! You just can't beat that!

Good atmosphere and food! Attentive staff and I like to golf so the fact it is part of a golf course was a bonus

I stopped here during one of my visits to Marion. It was highly recommended to me by an elderly…read morelocal and the reviews looked good in Yelp. The place looked great, and I had high expectations. But after one visit, that was my last. Bleh! First, they had not the friendliest staff. They were all chatting with each other and not very friendly to the customer. Not very attentive to the customer either. Wth? Where is the Mexican pride and Mexican warmth?? For this alone, I give them a 1 star. 0 if I could. I was born in Mexico, so I know good Mexican food. In my opinion, the food was very TexMex. More Tex than Mex, if you catch my drift (did they get all their food from Sysco??). I found the food to be quite insipid. The salsa tasted like it came out of a can, lacking the amazing flavors that generally give Mexican food that oomf. The fajitas were nicely presented, and the meat was good, but the accompanying rice and beans were not very tasty. Come on dudes, where's the pride in the food? Where is the Mexican seasoning?? Where is the Mexican love??? I was extremely disappointed. I guess the appeal of the place is the alcohol. But as a traditionalist who loves good Mexican food, I give this place a 1 for the taste of the food. I didn't partake in alcohol since I was just driving through. The only redeeming grace of this place was the decor and ambiance. They get a 4 or a 5. So, if you factor in the 1 for service, the 1 for the food, and the 5 for decor, I give them 3 stars. It is unlikely I'll be back here again.

Tried Don Som Mexican Grill hoping for authentic Mexican food, but left disappointed. The service…read morewas lackluster, and it seemed like everything was an extra add-on. The menu claimed to be authentic, but the flavors didn't deliver -- honestly, I could've made this at home better but I was here for work. Hard to find the true authenticity I was expecting. Definitely not what I hoped for left food there !
