We both enjoyed it a lot. We asked about a military discount and they gave it to us veterans...I appreciate this so much. I noticed some really good looking chicken wings come out of the kitchen....this will be a must order upon my return! As the national anthem came on, all the employees stopped what they were doing and placed their hand over their heart until completion. That really moved THIS veteran. Half the bar was empty. 10 of our group at the bar & 1 man we didn't know. She didn't ask anyone else in our group to move when only 1 of us has money in the machine. Working in the service industry for 20+ years ready made me cringe at her behavior. Like I said Amanda was fine but I don't think (if she's [Alex]a bar back) she should have tell us to move to a table when we've already been at the bar for 6 hours. When we were leaving after the Sunday night game they charged our friends for what they had. They payed and left. There were 3 of us left, so we asked for our check, so we could leave & half of what our friends ordered (&paid for were on our check). I have been told my a few people they do this on swing shift, but now that I'm "victim " to it I will never return to this bar again. If I must it will ONLY be when Rachel is there on Sundays until 4pm. Which by the way I did close out with her before she left so she's would get the whole tip. As a service industry worker I suggest the swing shift find a new home away from the locals. Take someone else's money. Not the locals who would have tipped you more than you earned.

The meat is fantastic, the bun is excellent, but I'm just not a special sauce kind of person. All they need to do to make their burger really awesome is to carry some BBQ sauce. That's it. This entire establishment does not contain any form of BBQ sauce. Don't get me wrong, I am not somebody who would ever put it on a good steak! But burgers, wings, fries, this place offers a number of things that could be elevated by keeping a few bottles of BBQ in the fridge. Just give me the option, you don't even need to list it on the menu. I used to love the beef stroganoff that they had for a while, but I guess it must not have been popular because they got rid of it. It seems that in it's place they started offering a Shepards pie. I was excited about this meal until it arrived and the potatoes were filled with cheese. A Shepards pie does not traditionally have any cheese. So it is probably a good idea for the menu to mention that it is in there. In any case, I tried to order it sans the cheese but I guess it is pre mixed into the mash or something. They cant make it with no cheese. :( Lastly, and most depressingly, they took the shrimp appetizer off of the happy hour menu! This was a real kick-in-the-dick for me. I have probably came to BLVD Grille at least 10 times in the last year specifically because the happy hour $5 shrimp appetizer was so outstanding. I am genuinely depressed that they took it off the happy hour menu. I haven't tried the steaks yet, I want to, but most days, I'm just looking for some shrimp, a side of fries and a drink. I haven't given up on this place yet, but I feel like I'm losing my favorite menu items one by one.
