Friendly and helpful bartenders, great atmosphere. Earlier in the afternoon it's quiet and cozy, great for a cocktail and a book. In the evenings when the live music starts up it gets pretty loud. The cocktail prices are a little steep but quality is top-notch and flavors are excellent. I would very happily have cocktails here again. I got one I think called a Flannel Shirt? What I remember is bourbon, pear, and pecan pie bitters, with a lightly charred/smoked bit of wood with the ice. Absolutely amazing. Parking is on the street. Whiskey bar with cocktails and cans of decent beer. Bartenders friendly. If you want to have a great experience, stop in when they just open to get really personalized service. We did this after a Bisin's game and the bartender took us through a lot of the processes for distilling and how they use their own organic dried fruit in the drinks. They have music on Friday nights. Don't know bout Saturday, but I think I've been there for music in that day, as well. The music is usually low key bands/solo performers. If you sit at the bar where you first walk in, you can usually maintain a conversation without it being too loud. There is no food, but you can bring it in from nearby places. SHAMEFUL AND DISCRIMINATORY Four of us were going to stop by Buffalo Distillery Co. yesterday (4/5/25) for 1-2 drinks and move on. One of my buddies was already there waiting and so I walked in the front door to meet him. I was met by a smaller man with a bald head at the front door. The man, through a fumbling of words and a half smile told me there is a $10 cover charge to come into the bar. He could barely look me in the eye and was unconvincing. He didn't strike me as a conventional bouncer, him being slight, and also because he was holding a drink. I even checked his ears for telltale signs of wrestling/jiu-jitsu damages to add some bonafide bouncer qualifications, seeing none. But, having no reason to suspect otherwise I said, "Did you say $10? Oh no.". And a I walked back out. I texted my buddy to tell him we weren't coming in ($10 is a STEEP cover for a bar in Buffalo, NY without a live band, no less). My buddy told me I was being screwed with, and that the bald man tried the same thing with him and that he's just messing around. My buddy had gotten in with the understanding none of us would pay the cover from this man, and he too wasn't convinced this man actually worked there. Further, my buddy watched this man NOT attempt to charge anyone else that walked into the bar in the meantime, which was 3-4 more groups of people. My buddy closed out his tab and left. You see, now I was upset. Was this either: 1) some regular at the bar screwing around who tried to steal $10 from me and possibly from other prospective patrons, causing some (such as me) to turn away at the door, or 2) did this man actually work here, and only charged this $10 price tags to those he prejudicially determined he didn't want spending money at the bar? Either way, I'm not the type, and wasn't going to be that type that night. I walked back in, and this time I had to seek this "bouncer" out, considering he wasn't standing near the door, had his back turned to it, was drinking and was hanging out with his friends. Now, I'm even more certain I was being screwed with by this man. I interrupted and said, "Excuse me, do you work here?" He said, again while stumbling, "Well, I- yeah, I'm, I'm one of the owners". I said, "You're one of the "owners", huh? And you're charging everyone $10 to get in?". He said that was correct. So, I told him I wasn't going to stay but that I was going to fact check him with the bartender. After all, if he didn't work there, that would be MESSED UP for bartenders and their livelihood. I wasn't going to let that happen. I asked a bartender if this man worked here and she shook her head and said, "No". I told her that this man was telling her patrons that they needed to pay him $10 at the door, all the while this man doesn't stop stammering unintelligible broken sentences in my ear, pleading with me as if he's attempting to not be exposed. I figured I had identified him as a fraud. But then the bartender laughs and says to me, "Well for you, you need to pay $50." Now, it still wasn't clear to me if this man actually works here, but what was clear was that I was inside a circus, and these people were the clowns. The bald man told me that I needed to leave now, and I said, "OK", and I also said that he should gratify his own self alone in an expletive fashion, and then I left. The next morning I did a Google image search and learned the man was Frank Weber, lead distiller and co-founder of the bar. So, you tell me... would you like to pay $10 as a cover charge to support a business that PREJUDICES ITS OWN PATRONS at the door, capriciously charging some to pay a hefty cover and others to not? As for me, I was gladly going to drop $100-$150 on the bar in one hour and leave, but now I'll never support this place or its products. read more

I felt like I turned into a cooler human being just by walking into this place. Very industrial looking inside. Intimately lit. I went on a Friday night and there was a live band. They sounded great and the music wasn't overly loud. Don't quote me but they have to be the only local distillery brewing their own Krupnik. A lot of Polish influence here. I got a kick out of their One Foot Cock branded spirits. Drinks were unbelievably cheap for such a nice establishment. Cocktails elsewhere would be $10-15. These were closer to $7. Quality home made liquor assembled with care. Strong enough to put hair on your chest but very refreshing and delicious. They also offer beer. I thought it was funny they carried Genesee's Cream Ale and Ruby Red Kolsch. Service was amazing. The lady bartenders were extremely patient and kind. My friend asked me what they have in the back area. The bartender overhead us while she was making someone else a drink and said she'd show us around. How have I not done a review for this place yet??? This is a great place to chill, have a couple of drinks, and support your local distillery. The location is not too big but not too small either. There's a good amount of seating at the bar and other seating on the floor area. In the summer time you can sit outside on the patio. They have a distillery in the back which Roy will be happy to give you a tour. They make their own spirits including bourbon, brandy, vodka, moonshine, krupnik, and now gin. They have tasting flights available, or you can enjoy them in one of the many cocktail options on their menu. They also offer a small food menu to hold you over. If you happen to come during food truck Tuesdays, they don't mind you coming in with one of your food truck favorites and enjoying it with a few cocktails by them. Every time I come here I love that the bartenders are always in a good mood and nobody ever looks like they don't want to be there. You know thos places . They are good with offering recommendations if you can't make up your mind. They also have live music on certain days. They are open Tuesday-Saturday. A hidden gem that I doubt will stay hidden for long! The atmosphere of this place is absolutely beautiful. It's small and intimate and they have a small food menu, but full of delicious and local options. Cocktails are priced at about $9 and there is the distillery in the back. I can't comment to the drinks, but I did try the Grilled Cheese sandwich and some of the pierogis (they serve Ru's pierogis but make a house dip for them with sour cream and green onion) and both the sandwich and the pierogis were really good! The interior is a chic, rustic, industrial, unassuming distillery bar. I am guessing its so layback because it caters to the neighboorhood. Wish I love! All their cocktails are priced at "Old Buffalo" prices, $9 or less. I highly recommend The Full Moon. Their food items are also in the same price range. I don't remember seeing anything in the double digits. I had their regular grill cheese sandwich for $7 it's a bargain. They can also add some other goodies for a couple more dollars. Please check the menu for those details. The sandwich was delicious and I can't wait to have it again and add all the things to it. We also had an Apple Pie shot. I have no clue what was in that... This place definitely gets five stars from me. Facebook suggested that I come here to see The Cairns play, which I did. They are a pretty awesome local band. Last year after Food Truck Tuesday, I came here with two friends. We had some very tasty and strong drinks. The bartender was nice and had someone bring our drinks out to the patio. The food was good too. I was excited to try this place out again. My friend and I got here just before 7pm. We sat at the end of the bar. I ordered a double of the Violet Beauregard. Upon my request, the owner added more blueberry syrup. I was happy that she did that. It really enhanced the drink. I then ordered the Larkinvillage Idiot. It had One Foot Cock vodka, One Foot Cock aged and un-aged apple brandy, One Foot Cock moonshine, blueberry simply syrup, RC Cola, and lemonade. (The drink menu is in my photos fir your perusal.) My friend ordered a grilled cheese that had cheese and a bit of horseradish in it. It was quite delicious. I ordered a veggie platter. It had some think Stacy's pita chips, hummus, baby carrots, and fresh cut red and green peppers. The distillery is a really cool place to hang out. The chandeliers above the bar are neat. They have merchandise for sale near the bar. (Tee shirts, tank tops, hoodies, and flasks.) Once it got dark, I noticed that there really isn't enough bright lighting in the bar. There is a nice size patio too but given it was 90 out, we opted to sit at the bar inside. This time they had a local band performing; last year when I went, there was a poetry reading going on. Great new distillery located in Larkinville. Friendly staff and fantastic drinks mixed with bourbon, vodka and brandy. The drinks we had were true craft cocktails made with care. The highlight was The Cold Cock made with mulled cider and apple brandy. Nice rehab on an old horse and carriage building as well. If someone asked me to name a business that makes me proud of my hometown, Buffalo Distilling Co. would be one of the first that came to mind. I visited this establishment on February 16, 2018. It was my second of several stops that night. The drinks here are high-quality, and - AND - locally sourced as much as possible. I told the bartender that I trusted her judgment and asked for a fruity cocktail. Generally, I'm more finicky than this; however, I was told ahead of time that I can't go wrong at this bar in most cases. The bartender returned with a delicious concoction and took the time to explain to me what made my drink so special - namely, the locally-made liquor that went into it. In hindsight, the title of said drink escapes me, but make no mistake: they'll make you something good and let you know EXACTLY what's in it. Even more worthy of mention than the drinks is the hospitality one can expect at this establishment. In addition to the friendly bar service, I was given an impromptu tour of the place by one of the owners; a behind-the-scenes walk-through of where the magic happens. Whether you're visiting Buffalo or live here, please be sure not to pass up this local treasure. Buffalo natives are a shamelessly and stubbornly loyal bunch. I first visited Buffalo Distilling when they hosted an event for Nickel City Jews in 2018. I'll start out by saying they are always a gracious host for our events! It's a small to mid-sized bar with a large back room for private events. They have an extensive drink menu with their own bourbon (One Foot Cock) - their bourbon is delicious! It's nice and smooth! The other cocktails on their menu are outstanding and very affordable. They do sell some food but I have not tried it. They often have live performers there, which adds to the fun vibe. There is adequate seating in the main room with bar seats and tables. The one negative is that they usually have no more than 1 - 2 bartenders at a time, so the wait can be unnecessarily long for a drink. It would be nice if they could add an extra person at the bar when there's an event. Other than that, it's a fun bar close to the Larkinville that has some amazing home-made bourbon! FYI, there's usually adequate parking, however it can be difficult on weekends. read more

My friends and I stopped in here for a drink and had such a great time! The toeing-the-line named cocktails gave us some good laughs, and they were strong but delicious! The bartender was so welcoming to us and offered us a taste of their newly released seasonal vodka. The atmosphere was dark and quiet, but this is exactly what we were looking for: a place to enjoy a drink without having to yell over the table to hear each other. The record player offered some tunes from the back without being too loud causing people to talk louder. The restroom was clean and had a basket of gum, mints, hair ties, and other things patrons might need that aren't offered in most places. Farm-to-table spirits! The bar is an awesome repurposed industrial space and you can walk through and geek-out on the distillery in the back. They source local grains that when spent go back to the farm for slop-about as sustainable as you can get. We tasted the bourbon and apple brandy, and left with a bottle of each but the barrel-aged Krupnik was the find of the day. They have nice bar bites (sausage, pierogi) and the staff was super-friendly. Highly recommend a visit! read more

We went here for a fundraiser: 3rd annual booze for Barks. The donations went to SPCA. You could bring your dog to the event too. They had tours of the distillery and character drawing.
