Wedding review of Barrel Factory: - Ample parking in lot and…read moreside streets - Beautiful decor for fall wedding (rustic vibes) - Quick bar service Both the ceremony and reception were on the upstairs level. During cocktail hour, they quickly moved the chairs and pulled in the tables to transform the space. It was clear the staff knew what they were doing. Also, there was ~70 drinks (beer, specialty bride & groom cocktails) sitting on the bar, ready for guests to grab. - Bonus room with board games and cornhole I loved this extra space because the kids in the wedding party were able to hang out and run around. It was also a great spot for the photo booth. - Food was delicious Standouts for me were the eggrolls (stuffed pepper & beef on weck), baked potato soup (loved that this was served in place of salad), and the tender filet with buttery mashed potatoes. I may have grabbed some of my kids' fingers and fries, because I can never say "no" to my favorite comfort food - perfectly crisp and salty. Would highly recommend this venue for any couple looking for a party environment with delicious eats.

My hubby chose a blueberry mojito with white rum. We also tried the gin and berries. They had seltzers, too, and we wish we could have tried them. Since we were drinking, we decided to have the appetizer trio. We had the delicious goat fig egg rolls, chicken pot stickers, and pretzel bites with cheese.

Stopped in for tastings but weren't there for too long since they only have about 4 varieties and…read morewe have already had two of them. :) The tastings are free and we came in for their debut of the Maple liqueur, which is kinda like rum and maple syrup, very tasty. We bought a bottle of this to take home and I overheard them telling a customer about recipes on their website, so I'll have to look a few up. We also tried the maple-coffee liqueur which had a stronger flavor than their other products. The couple next to us really enjoyed this but for us, we'll stick with the other three. We didn't taste the maple shine or their maple bourbon (I'm not actually sure if it's bourbon, but we've gone through a bottle drinking it neat and it's very good), since we've had these two before. Atmosphere- they had a big fan but it was hot in there, no AC. There's a few comfy seats and room to stand at the bar. The wooden bar itself is beautiful and the decor is nice too. This place is great for: -Booking for a private party (if they do that?) -Stopping in quickly for a tasting and to take a bottle home -Sitting down to enjoy a cocktail

The guy working was extremely knowledgable and helpful as we were not familiar with the maple syrup process and what they're making is different than the other distilleries that have opened the past couple of years in Buffalo. Tried the mapleshine and the aged rum spirit. Unique taste to both but very good and both had a bite in their pure form. The highlight were the mixed drinks that were made with homemade simple syrups - this cut the bite a little and brought out the maple flavor. Bought some bottles and hoping to see Black Squirrel at more events and bars.

Wondered over chatted with the owner to learn the distillery opened back precovid 2018. The business is women owned, located near the old Buffalo China plant. My polish heritage growing up Krupnik was the remedy with honey for colds. The krupnik was smooth in honey taste and mild flavor. My mom tried it as well and informed me was how she remembered it years ago. They sold it in a variety of sizes, even offered pre- filled made drinks for samples to comply with covid 19 precautions. The distillery pairs up with Park Edge sweets for the process of making the candy. Overall, the candy was a nice twist on representing polish culture and East Side of Buffalo . Check it out another great local women owned business.

I have been having tastes of krupnik since I was a little girl from my parents and family so I have high expectations when it comes to my krupnik. This krupnik was so so so flavorful and smooth. I loved that you could taste the clove and honey very distinctly. I also tried their kruparita and I would honestly buy that in a 12 pack as a regular drink of choice. It is unlike any other margarita I've ever had and it was better! Obviously is not a sour margarita, it's just different but amazing in its own way. I wasn't able to try their vodka but I heard other having sips and they seemed to enjoy it. This is a new polish female owned business is the heart of the east side of buffalo. It is 100% worth the try!

The entire space is rustic, and decorated with twinkle lights and antiques. I've been coming every Wednesday for bar league yoga, and every time is a treat! The space is warm and inviting. I often stop down at the bar and restaurant after yoga, and the experience is just as good downstairs. The bar has a plethora of drinks and cocktails - I had a vodka slushie that was absolutely delightful! I also had a burger that was to die for - juicy, full of bacon, and soooo good. I am a bit of a soup fanatic, so I also had the potato soup. Everything was so good, and our waitress was super friendly!

We start off with a couple of cocktails, my partner and I. I had the South Buffalo Slam, while they got a "hot" cocktail called the Ultra Violet Tipple (it changed colors!) Both cocktails were very good. For dinner, I got the barrel factory burger, which was a half pound burger of ground short rub and brisket and my guest had the barrel factory pork chop, which looked so delicious I was jealous that I didn't get it. We both really enjoyed what we had with the pork chop being very yummy and a real standout. We finished things off with a shared desert of the Pot Au Chocolat, which was a mousse-like decadence served in a canning jar. Overall, it was a very nice dining experience and a charming space as well as a cool ambience.
