I love when old buildings get a second life, and Post and Beam did a really nice job renovating this former Civil War Veterans' hall. The front yard could use a little sprucing, but the side patio and inside were clean and well kept. The small outdoor patio ended up being the perfect spot to sit and sip our hazy IPAs. Crisp, fruity, and super refreshing, it's exactly what you want on a warm day. The taproom has a darker, cozier vibe. Our server was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew the lineup well. What really adds to the charm is the building's history. Originally built in 1837 as a private academy, it later served as a Civil War veterans' hall before becoming home to the brewery. You can feel the past in the details, Post & Beam has done a great job preserving that legacy. Unfortunately, no dogs allowed inside or outside on their patio

Their beer was the best part though. Wow was it tasty! The variety among what they sold was not short, there was atleast 10 Different varieties and they had even more in cans and bottles to purchase. I liked the interior a lot, it was industrial, but modern. It mixed wood with the steel and it looked more welcoming than just a standard industrial brewery that you may see today.

We sat outside and enjoyed a marvelous day of late spring. The flatbread pizzas are delicious. We ordered a bacon and pesto and a little honey concoction and we just gobbled two of them. Washed it down with the Safe Space and the Concord Brew IPA. Memorable day at this place. Will return.

Driving in I asked my husband I asked what Kettlehead is known for an he said: Beer. Yet somehow, I can't love Kettlehead. A few things occured that damaged the experience: 1. The waitress spilled a sampler all over my wristlet and cell phone. She was oblivious but she has been spilling it the whole walk to the table! She seamed put out i asked of they had bleach wipes as we were in from out of town and i didnt want mty cell phone smelling like beer all weekend. 2. The waitress stated the coin change machine is wonky and they don't own it. The coin machine worked fine but it was the first game we played, Tokyo Drift, that ate our money. I reported it and seamed like the guy didn't care. He didn't offer me a $1 to make up for it nor did he shut down the machine after my report. I feel like if you have it in your place, you should stand behind it. An issue, it should become yours. 3. The pretzels are terrible. They are like sliced and fried with no flavor. They looked like little hot dogs. We go to a ton of breweries and this is the worst pretzel experience we have ever had. Also, the waitress told us the mustard was the beer cheese and vice versa. My kid was not to happy when she ate mustard! But also, the worst beer cheese we have encountered as well. Her excuse, she has been up since 4am. Well, my husband wasn't wrong. He raved over their beer. Nobody was impressed with their food.
