I wish my dna allowed me to try the beers (I hear they're awesome) but happy with the seltzers (gluten-free). Great bands too, but I hope they add an overhead door to the indoor stage area l (mostly metal). Acoustically, it's deafening in some parts and washed out in others. This is the best brewery we went to in NH. The bartender was so knowledgeable and kind. We explained we were mug club members at a brewery near us, and asked how theirs worked - even though we aren't actually going to join because we live so far away, she happy talked through their procedure and their benefits. Their beer was the best part though. Wow was it tasty! The variety among what they sold was not short, there was atleast 10 Different varieties and they had even more in cans and bottles to purchase. Henniker Brewing is a wonderful brewing company now in its thirteenth year of operation, producing quality craft beers that have made their way into both, the restaurant business and specialty shops and bars. Their consistent high quality and flavors have made them a permanent and expanding part of the brewing community. Then there is their home base warehouse-turned tasting room and. beer garden. A spacious, airy, well lit space, often featuring live music and rotating food trucks. In our visit, the featured food was a pizza vendor with two ovens at 800º F, and turning out succulent pizzas as fast as they could. Their puppy friendly store makes them even more attractive and increases the congenial and happy ambiance of the room. There were singles, families with their kids and pups, couples, college folk, everyone having a great time. I had a glass of their very popular Granite Trail NEIPA and followed it with a flight of six samples: Granite Trail, their Damn Sure 2XIPA, Wokingmen's Porter, their Hopslinger IPA, the Hugs From, NEIPA, and their Miles and Miles. All were awesome although both the Granite Trail and their Damn Sure were very tops. Service was superb. Friendly, fast, and efficient. And the outside pizza oven got us two awesome pizzas. I was quite impressed with the beer at Henny Brewing. I had the Space RACE, Double Scoot, and Damn Sure. All excellent IPAs. Super nice bartender and really clean bathrooms and great atmosphere in the place. Lots of outdoor seating which I took advantage of after arriving on the bicycle. Great place. read more

Nice out of the way, brewery. It was quiet for a Monday. Veteran owned and dog friendly. The only thing is they don't serve food, at least not on the day we were there. These folks know their stuff. The yearly Würst Festbier is the closest thing to a Bavarian Helles I've had outside Germany. The Hopslinger IPA is well balanced. The crushable Squints lager will keep you drinking in the sun. Lots of seasonal rotating taps. This brewery is competent and offers a refreshing array of well-executed beers. We stopped in back in March during a weekend ski trip. The folks were super nice, helpful and really accommodating. The place is a little out of the way and very unassuming from the outside. The taproom was great and we sat for a couple hours and played some board games, drank some beer, and enjoyed the vibe. I loved the selection and the Working Man's Porter. Really outstanding. It's fun to visit a small brewery that is working hard to grow its business. I really loved seeing the production at such a modest scale, a refreshing contrast to larger places like Sam Adams or Harpoon. And despite its size, the tour was the most informational one that I've been on. In terms of taste, I really enjoyed the flagship Whipple's Wheat. The pretzels and mustard they served were also delicious, and being able to play a few games of corn hole topped everything off. I think Henniker's well on their way to making it big, so I suggest making a visit while there's still a uniquely intimate and personal scale to the operation. read more

For being one of the little guys, the folks at Henniker Brewing Company are doing it right! When we first drove up I was a little surprised at how humble the singe was. I have been to a few places in the mid Atlantic region that look more like a vegas strip than a small micro brewery! So rolling up to a place that felt inviting and wasn't all up in your face was really nice. My dad lives in NH and has one of their 64 oz. Growler's. His Henniker Brewing beer of choice is the Working Mans Porter. This is a fantastic dark brew. I am extremely picky when it comes to dark porters, and I was thoroughly impressed, and have added the Working Mans Porter to my list making it a grand total of 3 porters I now enjoy! I am a big IPA fan, but again I am a bit of a snob when it comes to my beers. When I have a beer I intend to enjoy it, and enjoy the Hop Slinger I did! This IPA went extremely well with the burgers we put up on the grill. If you are looking for a refreshing IPA at the end of a hard day then I highly recommend the Hop Slinger! So if you have made plans to visit NH and have not added a trip to the Henniker Brewing Company let me stop you right here and say.......WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY?!?!? Rounding up to four, given that it is a relatively new business and I appreciate the effort going into trying make this a successful operation. We stumbled upon the place while traveling from Boston to Vermont and stopping by Daniel's Pub down the road. The staff gave us directions, after trying a beer at lunch. It was about a 10 minute drive from the restaurant. There is a ton of parking at what looks to be a warehouse. Walking in the main entrance to the tap room, you will find several round tables where you can sit and sample. Additionally, there is a small bar are if you'd prefer that type of experience. They had about a half dozen beers on tap and a few more special items in bottles only. All of the taps were available for growler fills. There were also a handful of bottles of each in a small display along one of the walls. Along with the bottles were various t-shirts (including one that was a riff on Heineken's red star logo) and pint glasses. Having tried the Amber at lunch, we tried the Heaven and Hell beers, as well as the Wheat beer. After trying each, we opted to pick up a few bottles of the wheat (as that was our favorite of the samples) as well as the Working Man's Porter. The staff told us to take us a seat at one of the tables and they brought our samples out to us, a nice touch! In retrospect, the Porter and Wheat beers were my two favorites. The others were good, but nothing exceptionally notable, in my humble opinion. Though, I do say this with great respect, as I couldn't imagine undertaking an operation like this. Coming from Boston, where there has been an explosion in micro- and nano-breweries, I do feel like they may face some stiff beer competition. It was a worthy find and I am glad that we were able to stop in, sample, and support a local and up-and-coming brewer. I wish them the best of success as their operations grow! read more

My wife and I just had our second visit yesterday and just like the first visit it was perfect. We got a flight of all the beers from the very friendly guy behind the beer. We asked lots of questions because my wife and I are certainly not beer experts. He was so kind talking about the beers and dropping knowledge on us without coming across as condescending. It's a neat little tasting room and the service is always perfect but the absolute highlight is the beer. I love all the different types. The splitter is amazing. We love the Roast. Damn Sure. A great little detour if you are on RT 9, the hours are a bit limited. That goes for most everything while visiting my native state, after living out west for 3 years. A big chill tap room, that may just do flights and growlier fills? We each had a flight which was made up of 6 beers, for the stellar price of 5$ We had had their beer a couple years ago, and the IPA is much improved. I really liked the dry hopped Miles and Miles, The Roast a coffee porter, and the Hopslinger the much improved IPA. I liked the Ocean Born Mary, label I though about buying a shirt, as it is one of the NH ghost, and pirate stories. My dad and grandmother had taken me to her house in Henniker when I was a kid, which is supposedly haunted. I had forgotten about that interesting NH legend, so thanks for making my brain work. The quad was also very nice, it wasn't horribly sweet, which they can be. A great showing, and again much better honed in beers then when we first tasted a couple years ago. read more

Tasted just like one of your beers. Also flagship usually means one when it comes to brewers but apparently you have many. This was a great place that I didn't even know existed until we saw signs leading us off the main road. We decided to stop in and I am glad we did. It's a small little place that serves flights of all their beers. They were delicious, especially the double IPA and the porter. We ended up taking home a growler of the porter. Kind of off the beaten path, a nice little brewery. Very friendly staff. I liked all the items they had promoting the various beers. Cute touches to give each beer a person's name. My partner and I picked up some coasters and some larger samples of the beer after having tried it at Daniel's Pub down the street. This tour was a lot of fun. Probably one of my favorites. Great presentation and some really good beer. We got flapjack which is a seasonal that is almost sold out, we asked for a taste and the hint of maple is just amazing. We will be looking for this beer on shelf. If you like beer, like most breweries, you will enjoy sampling their beers. The facility is small and has a couple of shelves of items they sell, including their beers. The samples are served in 4 ounce plastic cups and best ordered as a flight. We tried a complete flight of their 11 flavors they had on tap. We enjoyed the IPA's the most, next the ales and larger, then stouts, and finishing last was the company 2018, 2017 and last was the 2016. They have small stick pretzels on the tables with a really tasty mustard, that you can buy there, the mustard was very tasty. The staff, a young lady, who was very personable was the go to person there. There was a young man who gave tours, available on Saturdays, he was informative and personable, third employee was a young man that spent most of his time texting and taking selfies. We had a good time trying the samples and bought some " Wait a Minute" IPA. Overall, it's a must try for you beer lovers. There were a fair amount of people coming in and having growlers filled, priced are decent. Give them a try. read more

I am self proclaimed beer snob, I like my local beers like my women, classy and not to bitter. This brewery has it. There beer is an art, not because beer making is an art in its self. There beer is AMAZING!!! The brewery itself is very small but the taste is huge. My personal favorite is the workingman's porter and the new seasonal Home town double brown. The December seasonal the Roast is the best one they put out. That beer is a coffee stout finished with white mountain coffee, amazing beer amazing people and amazing prices. We were camping at nearby Keyser Pond so decided to check Henniker Brewing out. We didn't do the tour, just wanted to try the beers. A big reason why I am so pleased with this place is that we had our 2 dogs with us, and the brewery and staff turned out to be very dog friendly. I was worried they wouldn't even be let in, but it turned out they were not only welcome but the staff even brought them a water bowl and dog biscuits! It's hard to find dog friendly places so this was a nice change of pace. We also enjoyed the beers. I especially liked the sour. I only wished they sold pints in addition to samples as I would have stayed for another beer. read more

Great beer! I particularly enjoy the Hopslinger. The brewmaster clearly understands that simply throwing tons of hops into a beer doesn't make a great IPA. The Hopslinger is nicely balanced and always refreshing. read more
