FINALLY! Real Texas BBQ outside of San Antonio and Austin! I knew from my very first sip of sweet tea that this place was going to nail it! And right out front, they proudly display their TWO smokers! Now that's respect for the increasingly lost art of real barbecue smoking! I ordered the Hickory Sausage, Brisket, Potato Salad, and Cornbread. The Brisket: Top-notch! Beautiful texture, incredible smoke flavor, and that delicious bark on top! You know brisket is done right when the smoky flavor travels right up the back of your nose as you chew. That's REAL BBQ! The Hickory Sausage: Every bit as impressive. Perfectly smoked, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The Potato Salad: Tasty, beautifully balanced, and the perfect complement to all that smoky meat. THE CORNBREAD! Finally, cornbread in Newh England that's actually PROUD TO BE CORNBREAD! Too many places up here make what amounts to a flour cake with a smidgen of cornmeal thrown in. Not here! Perfect texture, wonderful density, and that unmistakable CORN flavor. Outstanding! Our other plate featured Pork Belly and Pulled Pork. Again, beautifully smoked, tender, and full of flavor. The baked beans were terrific, and so was the coleslaw! Having lived in Texas and enjoyed some of the finest barbecue in San Antonio and Austin, I know what great Texas BBQ should taste like. This place does TEXAS BBQ JUSTICE! And coming from this Texas BBQ lover, that's one heck of a compliment! read more

Stopped in for a quick lunch before and appointment. Just ordered the brisket & hot honey jalapeño pork belly. Brisket was great! Porkbelly was very good. Their spicy BBQ Saucy was fantastic. 4 stars because I waited 20 minutes for the order and there was only 1 person in the place. read more

Super cool setup. One building with 2 businesses. Brewery on the right. BBQ on the left but they are connected and intertwined on the inside. The BBQ is surprisingly very good. The northeast typically has poor BBQ options but i was pleased. Super cool to be able to order food then walk into the brewery as your BBQ order is put together. Brewery side has lots of board games and is dog friendly. Awesome patio in back with a nice stage for Live music. Halloween weekend was super fun! The BBQ is great, i loved their twist on buffalo chicken dip, served with round nacho chips. Sooo good!! The brisket baked potato is 15$ but it was massive!!! The coleslaw is honestly absolutely delicious!! My picky friend enjoyed the corn bread. The pulled pork was so good and i usually think pulled pork is ok at best. I love that they have To-Go containers at a station to get them yourself. Also there were unlimited pickles, pickled jalapeños, and pickled red onions. The onions were soooo good! I went again 2 days in a row for Halloween but I had so much leftovers from the day before i didnt order more BBQ last night. Glad i was shown this spot because its a hidden gem. read more

This place is Goooooood! The meats are all seasoned and made with perfect texture and flavor. The tenderness is next level! The sides are also great tasting and the nice addition with live music in the back and hood drinks brings this place to a cozy new level. The service is friendly and pleasant. read more

I had a goodness sandwich with a side of coleslaw and man was a good! The sandwich contains several types of meat, chopped up and tossed with a delicious BBQ sauce. The guy working the cash register was nice and the restaurant itself is spacious and nicely decor. read more

Smokeshow Barbeque - The Goodness Sandwich with a side of Coleslaw - Barbeque Near Me - Concord, New Hampshire

Food was pretty good, though outclassed by other bbq I've had recently. Service was quick and friendly. There was a very loud band playing out back, I really appreciate live music but this was distractingly loud, hard to carry on a conversation. Nice quick dinner, I would go back but won't go out of my way to seek it out. read more

Went there while a friend was in town. The service was so quick to the point it was a problem. Friend got the jalapeño sausage which came out cold (how??). I got the ribs, which had a good flavor but were pretty dry. The coleslaw was somehow even more dry. It's really just a cup of very bitter dry cabbage, not coleslaw. The sides were all mediocre, not much flavor. We got the buffalo chicken dip to share and it tasted like we were licking a salt block. We couldn't even finish it because it was SO salty. Some positive notes, the sauces they offer on the side are excellent, it's attached to a brewery and they package everything nicely for taking it out to the patio. All in all, I would not return, even if I was at the brewery. There are far better options around and I just didn't find this place to be worth the money. read more

A disappointed Sunday night! We have been to Rudy's in Texas and many other BBQ restaurants & this place is nothing like them. As we were ordering, they told us they were out of mac n cheese, chopped chicken and hickory sausage. Our mashed potatoes were old and chunky, the beans were not flavorful, the brisket was very fatty and cold plus all the food was served barely warm. Flies were around our food when I went to get it and the employee did not to distr them from being around our food, gross! I usually don't put bad reviews but we were so disappointed; I had to share. read more

Our first barbecue New Hampshire was memorable. This place is on point when it comes to barbecue and friendly service.. The restaurant shares space with a brewery. Next door called The tap room, which is a great place to grab your favorite Brew. You'll see some photos from that place. You can eat there also. Overall, the flavor was very good on the meat and the real star of the show where their sauces, especially their South Carolina yellow sauce. That was perfection. The ribs were meaty and tasty. A hidden jam was the turkey, with the yellow sauce. It is money. Only thing that was just okay were the sides. Although the cornbread was good and l is recommended. read more

These folks catered our wedding and the food was spectacular. The service was great, setup and breakdown went quickly and smoothly, and the two gentlemen who ran the show were professional and helpful. We've also eaten at the restaurant several times and always had great food and great service. read more

We had such an amazing experience with smokeshow. Matt was super friendly and communicative. The whole experience was a breeze! We had so many compliments at our wedding about the food. Many people had mentioned to us that it was the best wedding food they've had! We highly recommend any catering services you need through Smokeshow. We can't wait to visit them for a dining experience in the future! read more

We found this place by accident when we took our dogs to get groomed nearby. It's now one of our favorite places to eat when we come to Concord. The staff is always friendly and the service is quick. Portion sizes have definitely gotten smaller since our last visit about 6 months ago. The cornbread is about 75% the size it was before. The brisket is also about 25% smaller. It's disappointing to see shrinkinflation hitting this place. read more

Very cool setup with Feathered Friend Brewery connected. BBQ was serviceable but not standout. Brisket decent though a little dry, pulled pork fine. Baked beans best side. Mac and Cheese, meh. Brewery next door was cool, solid hazy New England IPA. read more

For NH BBQ this is definitely above average. The Ribs are really good! No sauce needed, nice smokey flavor with tender meat. Not fall of the bone but real BBQ never really is. The Brisket is okay. Its hard to do Brisket there is no bark but the meat itself is very tender. While not packed with flavor it is very good. Wings were the star of the show in my opinion with a nice Lemon Pepper and Smoke taste. I would get these wings and those ribs for sure on our next visit. Sides are solid right down the board. The Cream Corn is a standout to me and something you dont see everywhere. The pasta salad is nice. A touch of sweetness on the backend but really really nice. The mac and cheese is decent. Not very creamy but it is extremely passable. White Bean Chili is really nice and has a beautifully strong flavor. All in all this place is a very good BBQ spot for the area. I will say all of the sides could have used a little finishing salt but I do have a salty pallette and adding a little sprinkle is no big deal. Wings, Ribs, Creamed Cord, Pasta Salad... are all winners and truly there was no one "Bad" item in the whole family combo. Would definitely come again and recommend you do too. read more

Great food, disorganized service. Placed an order for takeout. 1/2 pound pulled pork, 1/2 pound brisket. All good. I'm waiting 10+ minutes when the buzzer goes off. Great food is ready. Nope. They don't have any pulled pork. It's going to be a half hour. WTF. It took you that long to figure it out. read more

Great little joint for Q and brew from their brewery next door. We stopped in for lunch on Sunday (first time for my wife and second for me) with she choosing the stuffed baked potato (with pulled pork) and I going with the two meats plate (pulled pork and ribs) with Mac and cheese and collard greens. We both loved the pulled pork even without sauce (though I'm finding my favorite sauce is their mustard sauce). My ribs were almost falling off the bone with a spicy rub. Tasty but best with some sauce. The Mac and cheese was very tasty and cheesy but not dry (which is what I look for in a Mac). The only thing I wasn't crazy about were the collard greens. They had a bit of a spicy taste that wasn't my favorite. Overall a great choice for lunch (except maybe a different side for the greens). Staff is very friendly and the folks in the pub gave us a sample of the pumpkin brew (maybe next time we'll have a pint). Definitely worth going back! read more

I was excited to see that there was a BBQ location close to where I was staying. There isn't a parking lot but you can utilize street parking. I went during lunch time on a Thursday so it wasn't too busy. When you walk in you do get a hint of that BBQ smell. The person taking my order was friendly and helpful. They even allowed me to sample some of their sides since I wasn't familiar with it. I order the combo meal which gives you 2 meat options and 2 sides. I went with their ribs and something they call the goodness, a mixture of brisket, turkey, and pork chopped up together. The food came out quickly and I took my seat. The place has plenty of seating and it's clean. As for the food, I have to say I wasn't too impressed. It wasn't bad but I just felt that the BBQ flavors weren't there. The ribs were cooked well but you don't get that smokey flavor you yearn for in BBQ. I'll say the presentation is great as it has a nice bark to it. The goodness wasn't too bad but again didn't get too much flavor and smokiness. The mac and cheese was cheesey and creamy but again it lacked a little flavor. The baked beans were good and I didn't expect to have chunks of meat in it which was a pleasant surprise. This is a likable place. The staff are friendly and the place has a nice ambiance. The food may not "meat" the standard of true BBQ (pun intended) but I will say it was cooked well. When you throw in the goodness inside the Mac and cheese it does make it better. Overall, if you're a big time BBQ fan this place may not be for you. But if you're looking for decent food and a cool vibe this place is worth checking out. read more

Smokeshow Barbeque - Combo meal. Ribs and goodness with Mac and cheese a d baked beans - Barbeque Near Me - Concord, New Hampshire

Welp, the brisket was dry and crumbly. Needed to soak it with the BBQ sauce. The ribs each had a teaspoon of meat on them. The pulled chicken sandwich came drenched in a hot bbq sauce and my wife couldn't taste the chicken. C'mon, let the customer slather what they want on a pulled chicken sandwich. Plus we had two bottled sodas and were charged for those two plus a "premium drink" whatever that means. So we were overcharged, the portions were small, and the BBQ wasn't that great. C'mon people! Make Texas proud!! You have it in you!! read more

Brisket was good. Baked beans were amazing! Got my order to go, and the service was great and super fast. read more

This place, which I used to love, has steadily gone down hill. The changes in menu options has made it difficult to go in there and get smaller portions of different meats. On top of that, prices have gone up. Brisket has become more like pot roast...look and taste. Breaks my heart to see the changes in menu and prices...value is sadly no longer here. I'm sure the changes were made for viability of business, and I'm confidant they will continue to pull in customers, just not my go-to BBQ in Concord anymore. read more

We have come here many times and the food USED to be great! The past two times however, that is not the case. We love the renovation but not the food. The pulled pork needs a sauce: all that's available is a mustard and one SO SPICY it's inedible. The Mac and cheese is bland and cold, brisket is bland and cold, ribs have no flavor. The baked potato was the best item and I could make it myself at home. The staff is less than friendly and then the register prompts you to tip $12+....we spent $50 on food for 2 people that we threw in the garbage. I wont be wasting my money again. read more

First of all, they have moved to Main Street so don't GPS yourself to the address on Yelp. You walk in and smell the sweet smell of BBQ. The mac and cheese and mashers are incredible. The cornbread was ok. Would have been nicer served warm and with a pat of butter. The ribs were very good. They had great flavor. However, when they were getting our meal put together, I saw them cutting the brisket. I never order this because of the fat, but theirs looked so good that I am just going to have to come back next time we are in town and give it a try. read more

I hadn't thought of Concord, NH as a hotbed for barbecue, but I'm glad my partner and stopped by. It's become one of our favorite spots when we're in the area. The new location on South Main Street is a huge improvement from the old location. It was clean and spacious. There was even the option for outdoor seating. The star of the show is the food. There are good sized portions. The meats (Brisket, Pork, Goodness) taste great by themselves. Adding your choice of sauce only kicks the flavor up a notch. The staff was courteous, professional, and seemed to enjoy where they worked. I look forward to eating there again. read more

Either the owners are a-holes, or the staff is a-holes. With a business this small, there's really no difference. I was treated horribly here, and I would definitely forgive that if the food was good enough, but it was not. Mediocre food + horrible service = not great. I don't understand why you would invest so much into a business and allow it to function this way. Dude at the counter was a chode with at capital "C". Never again. read more

Was excited to try BBQ in concord. Having lived 6 years in Austin Tx. I know what to expect. Was underwhelmed by the brisket. Lack of smoke ring n BBQ flavor. Looked like pot roast Might have caught a bad batch Need reddish vs grey meat Staff was friendly and helpful but portions could have been slightly larger too. Will be back to see if better next time. We need BBQ in NH read more

I'm sticking with my previous 3 stars. Rib didn't have a ton of flavor, and my party of 7 was pretty underwhelmed. Of all things, turkey and pulled pork were the winners... but for what it is, there's better BBQ to be had. I won't go back. The best part of my experience was the smell when I walked in. $16 for 3 ribs and a small bowl of chili isn't worth it. read more

My wife and I had lunch here last week, the brisket sandwich had a generous portion of brisket and was melt in your mouth delicious, the baby back ribs were perfectly seasoned and fall off the bone good. The cole slaw was very good as was the corn bread. The Mac and Cheese was fine but not great. We would go back in a heartbeat. read more

Totally solid barbecue joint. Had no trouble finding it despite other reviews and it was very spacious and clean inside. Good food, terrible organization I've had lunch here and enjoyed it, but I ordered a takeout meal for 5 people and it was a mess. We wanted to pick up at 4:30 so called about 11:30. They had a big order for 4:30 so could we do 5? No problem. Got there at 5 & waited half an hour, plus found out they were out of ribs. A bbq place. Out of ribs. Even though we'd ordered 6 hours in advance. There were about 6 kids staffing the place, none of whom seemed to be in charge. The food is really good, though, so I'm hoping this was a fluke. I will try them again & hopefully come back with a better review. read more

The ribs were 1/2 fatty meat. I ordered here once before and was thinking it was a one time deal but no, the exact same result. I have no idea where they buy their meat but it's definately not restaurant quality. It was equivalent to something like a neighbor giving a shot at smoking ribs on his back deck and inviting you over to try it. You'd say, "nice try but keep your day job." I'd recommend a different bbq restaurant. read more

Took a drive north from Boston to see the fall foliage and stumbled across this gem. Some of the best BBQ I've ever had. It smells so good when you step inside. Got the ribs, brisket, chicken, goodness, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, creamy corn, cole slaw, cheesy mashed potatoes and corn bread. We got takeout since had a dog and 3 year old sleeping in the car. What we got lasted our family a few meals. Def recommend checking it out! read more

I really enjoyed this. Ordered the ribs and brisket combo with greens and Texas caviar. Ribs were very tender. Brisket was lean but juicy. The 3 bbq sauces were all great. I never had the mustard based bbq sauce before smokeshow but have heard of it. I liked it so much i was dipping my greens in it. The spicy bbq sauce was my favorite out of the 3 but I ate and enjoyed all of them. Greens were solid. I like more pork in the greens but these were tasty and felt like a healthy choice. The Texas caviar was very fresh tasting with a good vinaigrette sorta sauce mixed throughout. Great side to balance the rich meaty flavors of bbq ribs and brisket. My kids liked the mac n' cheese. Both ate all of their food. Not an easy task. Service was good. Liked the industrial vibe inside. Looks like the connect to the brewery in the back and have a stage out there for live entertainment read more

We just tried this today for the first time we were excited because it's not too expensive and it's close to us. The employees are very kind and helpful but the food was bad. It only tastes of smoke and not a good bbq smoke but almost chemical. We couldn't eat it. A bit disappointed but the people there are great. Edit: I can't be 100% positive but I asked if there was any dairy in the potato salad because I'm severely lactose intolerant, they said no and I had a few bites and I am currently very sick. read more
