We were able to park close by and get in before the big crowd. Barley seems like a happening place. An upscale Irish Pub, for sure! The set up is a bar with a decent amount of restaurant booth seating. Of course, there were tables of different sizes available, as well. We were given a 10 minute wait after meeting with the Hostess. There was alot of activity around the bar and lots of drinks coming out of the bar well....always a good sign! When our time was up, we were quickly escorted to our table. We were each given a menu and a drink menu. Lots to choose from on both menus (see the pic below) I ordered the chicken sandwich with caramelized onions and my son ordered a Chicken Pot Pie. He had a beer and we both had water with a lemon. The food came rather quickly. I was immediately taken back when the caramelized onion was not on my sandwich. I was going to ask the waittress to fix it but it was far to busy and it was not a big deal. Of course, I would have enjoyed the onion but "no big deal". My son's Chicken Pot Pie was a good size and was thrilled with it. We both ate everything on our plates. Our waitress checked in with us a few times to refill, which was nice and came to take the plates away after we were finished. We did not get any dessert. To be honest, we did not see a lot of dessert plates coming to other tables, either. We were thinking maybe people leave to get ice cream at one of the nearby establishments. 5-Stars Price: Fair Parking: plenty near by Vibe: perfect...I would like to watch a game, someday, at the bar Pepsi/Coke: Coke Would I come again? Everything our party of four ordered was a disappointment, starting with an ice-tea cocktail that was undrinkable-- our nice waitress took it off the bill. My grilled salmon on a bed of rice arrived as dry as the Sahara, surrounded by burnt roasted carrots -- at least I think that's what they were. My husband's steak he ordered medium rare was also way overdone, served a block of with cold mashed potatoes. The overly sweet Apple Pumpkin Bisque (for $9) went uneaten after each of us tried a spoonful -- it was more like a bowl of pie filling than soup. Even the dessert, bread pudding with some whipped cream, was gloppy and unappetizing. This is a great place to go if you are fasting.

That got my attention. At that time, I had a wonderful salad with chicken tenders that was superb. This time, we came in during the craftsman fair in Concord, and after looking at the stalls for most of the day, we were ravenously hungry. I had a chicken breast sandwich which was a truly beautiful piece of chicken breast, with caramelized onions and all the trimmings. I also had a salad on the side. My other half, had a juicy, tantalizing burger with some of the best fries I have ever had. Yet another one of our guests had the chicken tenders, light and tender and crispy which was extremely tasty. I can understand some of the previous comments about having to wait to order. The manager, who attends the cash register in ordering, he's doing 14 things at the same time. She is extremely busy especially in peak periods. However, she is quite efficient. As in most places, vibes also has a staffing shortage problem and that should in no way diminish the quality of the food as well as their amazing service to the community. On April 14 we were going to stop at Phils Roast Beef in Andover, on our way home from Weymouth MA. UGG!! he sold his place. Drove to Concord, NH, the little children were so hungry, it was late at night. We still had 1 1/2 hours before home. We wanted something simple not a restaurant. We came a place that looked bright. It was Arnies. Never been there and here we are 6 of us, EXHAUSTED, little children not knowing what they want, cranky we are trying to be quick about ordering, it was so crowded. The man waited on us with a smile. We still had no clue what we wanted he said take your time, yet there were so many people in line. We ordered hamburgers, hot dogs, pulled pork plate, drinks, children meals. He kept smiling and telling us it's alright. We sat and he brought our food to the table. We didn't expect that. He treated us like we were like royalty. He made the difference in our trip. The smallest child wanted another child meal. The server made him so happy. The server always smiled which put a smile on our face. The food was superior, prices excellent, service over the top. We saw a trip jar, deposited money in that. Second time was on May 17, since it was so good the first time we thought okay let's try again. This time only two of us. The young lady was smiling. It was around the lunch hour, a little busy- we ordered pulled pork and fish plate. The food was still superior, prices great, service over the top. Met the owner, he was happy, jolly, friendly, totally down to earth. We thought it's a no wonder these people are always smiling, it must be a fun place to work. It was very busy when we were leaving. The owner smiled and said come back again. We felt a personal touch. We forgot to leave the young lady a tip. Next time we will leave double tip. If you haven't been to Arnies yet. This is a place you need to go, you will never forget the experience. read more
