Love this place! I visit every time I'm in Memphis. The soaps and body butters are amazing !!

So happy! I ordered six gift sets and was concerned they wouldn't arrive in time for my event. Not only did they arrive in record time with free delivery AND a discount I didn't even request, but the packaging was absolutely beautiful. I am sooo pleased and I'll be ordering again. Quality products made with love! ~Sophie Foster, Author read more

Yikes, I turned blue after using one of their bath balls! So I have to give it one star... The place is cute, the people are wonderful, everything smells great. I've been enjoying their lip balm and my husband likes their shampoo bar. Just stay away from the blue/purple bath balls. - Smurfette read more

I went to the location on Main St downtown in Memphis and I bought up their bath bombs and lip balm. I've been a diehard Lush fan for a few years but it's hard buying fragrance online. I am SO GLAD they opened this place in Memphis. You get a lot more bang for your buck and your bath with their bombs. They're chock full of oils and they smell amazing. Plus they aren't as powdery. Will definitely be ordering. When I move away, I'd like to keep ordering from here. The Sunshine fragrance is an INSTANT mood boost. My only critique would be leave them naked and don't wrap them in plastic. Let shoppers put them in individual recycled paper bags. It would be more eco friendly and let me smell the merchandise better. read more

I really enjoyed their soaps and bath bombs. I thought they were reasonable priced for the quality. The bath bombs were absolutely lovely and felt great but the reason they get 4 stars from me and not 5 is because the bath bombs (and darker soaps) stain my tub really bad and I have to clean it after each bath. (which kind of kills my relaxed vibe) the staff were so happy and welcoming and the place is great! They're definitely in their way to becoming the next Lush! Keep up the great work guys! read more

Love the shower oil. I have pretty sensitive skin so I take a risk when I get scented products. I've gotten full body rashes from other brands but I've never gotten any rashes from the scented stuff here. I love the rose scent but I got the love potion and it is amazing read more

I'm obsessed with the Narcissist laundry detergent so I ordered the shower fizzies. It dissolved immediately without a trace of scent. Waste of money. read more

Buff City Soap is an absolutely fantastic place to shop for all things soap, sugar scrubs, moisturizers, cleansing agents. The staff is so responsive and more than willing to help you find whatever it is you are seeking. I've shopped at the Kirby Whitten location at least a half dozen times and have never left disappointed. The products they sell have been extremely beneficial to me. I've given BCS as gifts and the recipients have always been overjoyed! Christmas, Birthdays, or just any other day for a "happy" gift, Buff City Soap has got you covered. I like the fact that one doesn't have too spend $$$ to get a quality product. Shelby is an amazing employee who took the time to MAKE what I had in my mind as a gift. That's right, BCS didn't produce a sugar scrub with the exact scents I wanted, so Shelby blended them together for my immediate purchase! Sure, BCS soap costs more than store bought Irish Spring, but take the BCS challenge and look at your skin after using BCS products for a while. read more

Awesome little shop - great smelling/quality items! They have everything from chapstick - in lots of flavors/scents, bath bombs, soaps, oils, lotions and so much more. On my last visit I purchased several chapsticks - loved all of them, several bath bombs in various scents - "Good morning sunshine" is my all time favorite scent and some shower fizz discs .... Eucalyptus is marvelous! Not only do they smell great BUT my whole bathroom smells great for days. You can also do custom orders ... online via the website or in their store. Friendly staff, and the prices are great! read more

I love this place! My sister brought me here during a recent visit. I bought some bath bombs to bring home and I am really looking forward to trying them. There were so many items to choose from. The shower fizzes, soaps, etc. were neatly arranged and the signed well. I like the little bowls of coffee beans sitting around to clear your nose in between different scents. The pricing is simple and affordable. I wish I lived closer. I'd definitely be a regular customer. read more

I unfortunately don't live near a store and this company only caters towards people who shop in store. Stuff sells out online a lot, the orders take quite some time to ship, and they take away their sales online during the most important times of the year, which is the exact opposite of what every single other business does. They've gotta be severely short staffed and can't keep up with the demand. I feel like a reject customer, which kinda sucks for what I'm gonna say next. Their products are sooo awesome, like amazingly awesome. The soaps smell fantastic, they are natural, not loaded with awful ingredients like SLS, like so many other companies, and the presentation of products is lovely. I bought a bunch of stuff, and I honestly really like every single item I got. I'm moisturized well after each shower and the house smells phenomenal. I hate the process of getting their products, but once I get them, I'm on cloud nine. If you don't mind some frustration getting the stuff to you, you'll be very happy once you receive them. I really wish I lived near a store. I would shop there constantly, like I'd go broke, or I wish that they would tweak some of their business practices. I guess I have a love-hate relationship with this company. ‍ read more

Wonderful place. Was introduced by a friend to this store, and I am now addicted. I was buying my soaps and lotions from another store in town, but now using these products . The bars of soap not only smell amazing, they lather perfectly and definitely get you clean in the process. I adore the body butters and scrubs as well. read more

After seeing a lot of friends post on social media about the bath bombs from Buff City Soap, I decided I needed to try! Oh my goodness...the bath bombs are so luxurious & smell fantastic! I also bought Body Butter and Laundry Soap. My sheets have never smelled so good & the Body Butter is a light yet very moisturizing! The staff was so friendly and welcoming...will definitely be returning in the near future. read more

Love this place! Visited for the first time about a week and a half ago and I'm obsessed with the soaps and bath bombs I purchased, especially the manly-scented ones! Their products smell wonderful and make great gifts for friends and family. When I saw their shampoo bar, I was intrigued. I am very particular about what products I use for my colored hair and decided to give this a try after reading the label... and I absolutely love it! My hair is so soft and smells just like "Love Spell". Can't wait to go back and get more! Thanks so much BSC and keep up the good work! read more

If you love great customer service and a burst of unique scents as you come through the door, then you've found the right place. I tried the body butters, soap, lotion bars, and bath bombs. All are awesome! Recently I purchased products and I noticed I was overcharged. I went back up to the store and they took GREAT care of me for the inconvenience. The great customer service and uniquely scented products ensure I will be a satisfied customer for the long haul. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!! read more

Wonderful place to get soap bars...so much creativity in these bars! I use them for both face and body. I love to bring my dogs as they are welcoming and dog friendly. I need to buy in bulk each time they have a Happy Hour sale from 3pm to 6pm every Tuesday and Thursday- 5 for $20 soaps and bath fizzies, mix and match...you will not be disappointed! read more

I saw mention of the blue and purple bath bombs turning the water blue. Yes it does but it also rinses out if you wash the tub after. Not a big deal. It is just a blue ring until you wash it. Some of the colored soaps lather colored but rinse clean every time. I feel for the people with sensitive skin, as I have it to so I suggest the oatmeal milk and honey or an unscented soap. Using the milder version of anything helps. I love all of the products I have tried so far. Smells amazing and so great not to have all of the harmful chemicals in grocery store soaps. Love this place! Owners are so friendly and make you feel so welcome there! So hard to choose, because there are so many great products!

One of my favorite places to shop in Memphis. Customer service is always awesome and the products are just as great. Glad to see the business expanding down into olive branch also. read more

I found Bartlett Soap Company at a festival in Shelby Farms. Everything on display looked intriguing, so I stopped and smelled all these delicious looking soaps. I bought 3 soaps -- an oatmeal, a lemon, and another citrusy one (don't remember their names). Oh what a delight! The oatmeal one makes my skin feel so smooth and fragrant -- it is my favorite. Next time I will buy the white soap with the rose petals -- so pretty. If you like fancy soaps, check out this company. read more

I'm shockingly surprised that all I've seen are good reviews...not that they don't have some good products, but the two different products I purchased recently are not working out. I picked up some of the charcoal facial soap, and the tea tree solid shampoo. The charcoal soap irritated my skin horribly. At first I thought it was just "purging" the impurities, but I had to stop using it after a week, and my skin is still recovering. To be fair, my husband loves it...guess my skin is just more sensitive? The shampoo bar treats my scalp fairly enough, but there's a noticeably thick residue left on my hair...so much so that it feels waxy? I'm allergic to pretty much every shampoo on the market, and thought since this was all-natural that it would work out. I'm kinda disappointed that neither of the items worked out for me. I still want to try the body soap, though. FYI-I purchased from the Southaven store, and while they weren't necessarily rude, they seemed rushed and more preoccupied with completing the stocking tasks so they could get out of there on time than dealing with customers. Update 12/05/2016: My husband's skin is now red and irritated from using the charcoal bar...it just took him a little longer to react, as his skin isn't sensitive. It may work great for some, but sadly not for us:( read more

I've been using the soap that I got from The Bartlett Soap Company for a few days now, and they are all amazing! They are all natural and made by the owners! I bought the chocolate soap bar, the tea tree oil and oatmeal soap bar, and the brown sugar shampoo bar. The chocolate soap bar is awesome for full body washes. You smell fantastic after you get out of the shower! I use the tea tree oil and oatmeal bar on my face, and it makes my face feel so smooth and soft. I have very sensitive skin, so this bar is perfect for those of you need soaps that are mild, or if you just want to keep your face clear of acne! The shampoo bar is amazing. I just rub it in my hair a few times and it lathers it up completely! I also tried their moisturizer in the store and it made my hands feel so smooth and soft! This is the place I will go to from now on if I need skin care products. Simply awesome! I am in love with this place! read more

Have a friend who works in the oil field, and gets crude oil on his skin all the time. I immediately thought of charcoal products, as they clean out dirt and oil. I then remembered seeing the Activated Charcoal Facial Cleanser on The Bartlett Soap Company's Instagram feed. I've never been to this store before, but I figured I'd try it out. When others say you can smell the store before you get in the door, they're not lying! As soon as I closed my car door, I could smell the wonderful scents coming from within. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the store. Since I knew what I needed, I asked where to find it. When I got up to the counter, the salesman asked if I had ever been there before (--nope). He then gave me not only one, but THREE free products to try: one soap bar, one bath bomb, and one shower fizzy. He also gave me a 'tye-dye card', with the buy __ get one free promo. I haven't even tried any of the products yet, but I'd recommend this store to anyone looking for skincare needs, just for the friendly staff! read more
