Just cool stuff! One of the only places I shop for all my eclectic friends and family!!! Gotta love Midtown!

Best place in midtown Memphis for eclectic items! Maggie's Pharm has it all, from exotic spices, essential oils, many varieties of coffee and teas, high end candles, gifts and gorgeous jewelry. It's the only place in Midtown where I can shop for my family and friends!!!

How can you not love Maggie's? Abundant selection of items. I love the socks with the witty sayings. If there is an item you require and they don't sale, they are great with taking recommendations. Pricing is fantastic.

Ok I know what you are thinking. Now what does a 6'4 guy need with a place like this?! Well let me just tell you - This is the place to be- and then some. I'm a serious cook from scratch kind of guy and spices are my weakness. I woke up needing some fresh spices and I hit the streets. This place is an eclectic mix of homemade candles, soaps, teas and much more. I hit one corner and there it was: Mexican Seasoning Habernero Seasoning Hungarian Paprika Hickory Salt I bout lost it. Margaret was a joy to work with and was super patient as I decided I wanted almost everything they have. I also snatched up some homemade soaps, shower tablets and so much more. It's a great place and this guy is a permanent customer.

After reading the reviews on Maggie's and seeing the photos I knew I had to make a special trip to this store front. I have no idea why, but I am intrigued by spices, natural herbs and essential oils and the body soaps, butters, masks and creams- and here is a store offering up all of those things in one trip. When I walked into this place, I was met by an overwhelmingly pungent scent. I could not recreate it or describe it if I tried. The mixture of all the good smells lingering and playing together is truly fabulous. I actually stopped in my tracks, closed my eyes and took a deep breath. This was going to be bad. I was going to spend a lot of money in here. Maggie's offers up all of the above items as well as greeting cards, shampoos, lotions, candles and perfumes. Hell, they even let you hand mix your choices of essential oils to make a custom scent. I love this cuz I despise when people smell like me. (FYI-do not EVER ask me the name of my perfume. I will lie through my teeth about the name of the scent if it means I can keep you from smelling just like me). I was hesitant about this place only because of the mixed reviews on the staff. The women I experienced on this particular day were super friendly and happily offered me answers for all my ridiculous questions. Bonus- they have a huge selection of Burt's Bees and Crabtree and Evelyn products.

Forget about Bath & Body Works, The Body Shop or any of those other mall chain stores. If you want products to pamper yourself, check out Maggie's Pharm in midtown. Maggie's Pharm is a one of a kind specialty store that carries fragrant soaps, lotions, creams, candles, shampoos...you name it, you can probably find it here. My favorite part of the store? The scent bar where you can mix your choice (or choices) of essential oils into unscented lotions to create your own amazing scent. The shop itself is a charming little haven in Overton Square, and is a great place to find gifts of the homemade variety, including coffee beans, and spices as well as the bath and body products.

Maggie's Pharm was part of Overton Square when it was cool the first time. They stuck it out through the lean years and are still there with the resurgence. They have curated an interesting stock of merchandise with everything from holistic healing teas to Saints for Sinners painted medals and thick, warm socks in interesting patterns. They have a private parking lot in the back of the building, so parking isn't too difficult. Staff is eager and available to answer questions. A midtown gem well worth a visit for herbs, herbal teas and body balms among other things.

Courteous, helpful and knowledgeable staff, fresh product (real CDB oil) and fair pricing. I'm a regular customer.
