Ordered and paid at 1:22pm according to my receipt. Finally got my order at 1:43pm. There were about six people waiting for orders. Ordered a #6. Cashier asked if I wanted pickles. I said "no pickles." I also ordered a regular order of chili cheese fries and a medium Diet Coke. When I finally got my order, there were pickles on the burger and both the burger and chili cheese fries were cold. The food tasted good. BUT IT WAS COLD! It's a burger joint! Get it together! You have one cashier and two people working the grill and the French Fries station. There aren't 20 people waiting in line! Serve the food hot especially if you're made to wait 20+ minutes for it. Hire more people to cook and prepare especially during lunch time which is between 11am and 2pm. Gets hot food to the customers quicker. No excuse for serving cold food....especially at a burger joint!! read more

The Bud's Broiler across from Delgado was a childhood staple, especially after Carrollton Boosters soccer games. This newer one is right off of City Park Rd on canal and has plenty of seating. You can't go wrong with the #6 dressed cheddar burger (I usually hold the pickles and mustard) or if I'm feeling "healthy", I get the #10 regular Chicken a sandwich (they also have an eat fit one). Throw in the Chili Hickory Sauce Cheese French Fries and a Coke Zero and you're set. The guys working the counter have always been friendly. The setting is vintage. Despite the location being new, it looks like a no-frills burger joint of old with the classic woodgrain booths and that '80s interpretations of the '50s aesthetic . I appreciated the large font of the menu that is easy to read even from some of the tables. I was also delighted with food's presentation (paper stamped with the original logo) and the fact that the menu is printed onto the back of the paper (nice touch). Dining at Bud's feels nostalgic. The service here is wonderful. They were so sweet and put a lot of care into the food they make. The chicken sandwich was cooked to the perfect temperature. I asked for my fries to be crispy and they happily cooked them a little longer until they were perfectly golden brown. The only problem is that the food lacks salt. When I tasted my food, I remembered this being an issue for me years ago when I used ot eat at the Elysian Fields and City Park Ave locations. I ended up taking my food home and seasoning it from my own kitchen. I could see Bud's potentially being a good option for hypertensive folks who'd like to enjoy some fast food. Well, I am still disappointed that The Delgado Bud's Broiler closed but I am elated to find they have opened on Canal blvd. . I like the new look and they still maintained the same decorum of wooden tables and benches. Very simple decorum indeed. Same great taste and will always be my favorite burger joint. While far from being the best burger place in New Orleans, it is a great comfort food place. Their new location is 10 times better than the original. It's very large, spacious, indoor and out. This makes it very COVID friendly. Went for lunch on a Saturday. It was pretty busy, but still took a good while to get our food. I want to say it was 20 plus minutes. Which was fine they getting back into the groove after being closed a few years. I went with a number 3 burger and cheese fries. It was pretty much how I remember taste wise. Little bit better than your typical fast food burger. Cheese fries were great tons of cheese and crispy thin cut fries. Also nabbed me a chocolate shake, which paired well with my salty fries. I'm almost positive this is the first time I've been to Bud's in daylight. I look forward to when they are back to 24 hours so I can stumble in after a fest and order way to much food then waddle home fat and happy. read more

I'm not sure this rating is fair. I will give them another try after the hype of them reopening dies down. I really felt that the burger I had was not the Buds I remembered, both the burger and fries were cold. There were a lot of people in there, so I will go at another time and adjust my rating accordingly. I love the location and that is next to Morning Call. You have the option of eating inside or outside and watch the street cars as they go by. I say give them a try, just go when they aren't so busy. read more

We used to love this location! Today we arrived around 12:15 pm which would be height of lunchtime and used to be packed. I found it odd we could get a parking spot so easily. Walked in and only one table was occupied. Ordered our food and my burger was still incorrect... I realize it happens... went to have them correct it and the 2nd one was also incorrect. Husband's food was cold. Mind you the place was basically empty... anyway needless to say it will be a long time before we return.. shake shack does a better job as does company burger read more

Open for business, baby! I've been waiting for my beloved BB to open up ever since the City Park Ave location shut down. They opened last week and things are off to a great start! Right now, it looks like they're only open Thursday - Sunday but I'm hoping that'll change soon. Of course, the lines are long given the 'newness' but the staff is working hard to keep things movin. Our typical order is a #5, #6, onion rings, fries, and a coke! Surprisingly, I have yet to try their hickory sauce but it's sold by the bottle at this location in case that interests you. Still waitin on that liquor license so get your libations elsewhere. This was the perfect addition to our little Lakeview neighborhood -- walk a couple feet down to get some beignets for dessert afterwards! Was in the mood for a burger and decided to try out the new Buds Broiler on canal. Very clean and good location nice view of the streetcar turnaround. Parking is a little tight with only a few spots. Staff was great and the food was fantastic. Reasonably priced. I had a number six, the huge mound of fresh cheddar on top of the grilled onions. I will definatly be comming here again. One sugestion is they might add a double patty option. We here in New Orleans love to eat. All in all a great experience and i recommend you give it a shot and post what the other foods taste like. I do have great news, I spoke with the manager and he agreed that if you mention you saw it here on yelp, you can have any two items off the menu at regular price. Cant beat that can ya. Far cleaner than their previous space across from Delgado, but with far less charm. Employee friendliness is about the same. Parking on the side and in the rear of the building. Close to bus stops and Streetcar stops. Food is just as good, sweet tea just as good. Very simple decor inside. The burgers are still good, their special sauce just as special. I crave my #7 and split hot dog w/bbq sauce every now and then. Idk but this place the buns are different from the other locations and I don't like 'em... they're unsure how to describe, but they're too airy and dry tasting... needs to be more of a potato bun or idk... Everything is made fresh, so you'll have to wait a good 15-20 minutes for your food. Get over it! It's worth the wait... highly recommend! One of the worst hamburger eating experiences I have had. Apparently, the Bud's Broiler of yesteryear is gone. In its place is a hamburger that is extremely dry and tasteless. I would not recommend this dining experience, I feels that I could have gotten a better burger at Wendy's, Burger King, or McDonalds. That is a sad statement. I ordered cheese fries, that they prepared about 5 -10 minutes before my burger was ready, made the cheese stick to the fries like glue. And tasted just about as good as that.
