7p weeknight visit inside store. Decent amount of customers; no line for ordering. Haven't been to a Five Guys in over a decade, so I had to take a minute to make decisions. Wasn't a fan of it then, not sure that's changed. Placing the order was a challenge. I asked for 2 cheeseburgers (the menu shows options for a cheeseburger and little cheeseburgers - that's it for description), and I was asked if I wanted 2 patties. I said I didn't understand, because I didn't see anything on the menu that mentioned a choice in the number of patties. She asked again if I wanted 1 patty or 2. I asked if that was the difference between a hamburger and a little hamburger & she just looked at me. I started over and asked, "If I order a $9.95 hamburger, how many patties are on it?" She said 2. Okay, so I ordered 2 cheeseburgers. Hurdle passed. Usual ketchup, mustard, mayo, onion, lettuce, tomato. All toppings included. Small fry: $4.35. Order was up in 5 min or less - super friendly kitchen staff - and $26.61 + tip later, I left the store. Fries were plentiful and all over the bottom of the bag...and not crispy. Homemade, yes, crispy, no. Husband was aghast when he saw the hamburgers are 2 patties and could only eat one hamburger. I tried it, and it truly had some amazing flavor. The other hamburger went in the fridge and 3 days later was stripped of the bun & condiments and used as a meat with a vegetable side. On 8/9/25 I went into Five Guys at 1523 B1 on Manhattan Blvd in Harvey,La. The young lady was so rude as I placed my order. There was no one in line behind me. So I slowed down the process as I ordered While fixing my order,I believed she did something nasty yo my order! The two workers kept looking at me and then proceeded to ask me twice if I was order 49. I felt very uncomfortable with the whole situation. When I picked up the order the whole crew stopped to look at me for a few minutes so I returned the order and asked for the manager. The worker stated to me that she was the manager. Unlike most guests, I forgo the buns and the fries and opt for the protein style burger where the perfectly seasoned patties are wrapped in lettuce. I feel I am able to savor every bite this way while cutting the carbs, even if just a little bit. Nope. Apparently 2xs is not a charm. Just left this place and again, my order was wrong. I didn't feel like waiting for them to make it again so my family and I just took the order they gave us and left. There's never a manager in the front (actually managing) anymore. And whoever the line lead is needs to be fired. I ordered a little bacon cheese burger (all the way), a bacon cheeseburger (all the way), and a bacon cheeseburger no bun (all the way). I watched two two different employees check my order and they STILL got it wrong. I checked the order before we left, no lettuce no tomatoes. Only grilled onions grilled mushrooms bacon cheese and maybe condiments. Our order was over $30! What's the purpose of coming here if this is the type of service we get? This location used to be great and now?? Last time we were here the same order as today they got wrong. It was missing bacon. The attitudes and tension was outrageous. The manager came from the back and asked why I had been waiting so long. He told them to make it again and with fresh fries. I'm just disappointed. So with everything COVID going on and with it being burger day yesterday we decided to get Five Guys for dinner. My food was phenomenal! Everything on point. My boyfriend had asked for cheese on his burger, he didn't get any :(. He was also saying that the drive up/take out with COVID is very confusing. Ugh, do I even have to explain myself? It's Five Guys!!! Who doesn't like Five Guys?!? Literally had a huge case of the munchies laying on my bed watching tv and rushed to my phone to DoorDash some food, and normally whenever you make an order as late as I was making one, most places just get your order wrong, or just don't acknowledge it. But I didn't care! I was hungry, and I wanted food, and I had my girlfriend SO on top of that I had a mouth to feed! So I ordered anyways, and it was a relatively large order, I am really apologetic to this restaurant for ordering something so large so late. But they did it! Amazingly! We visited this location on Sunday, 1/14/18 and had a great experience. The manager on duty or supervisor, not sure of his title, was cleaning, organizing, checking on customers, making sure his employees were on task.....super friendly guy and very attentive to everything going on. The burgers were delicious. It's nice to have freedom of toppings with no extra charge. The meat was juicy and it tasted like meat! The fries were crisp and there were a ton of them. Let me start off with a few positives. I LOVE the fact that 5 Guys is giving the Westbank a shot- none of these burger places ever open a restaurant in my neck of the woods. Ordering online is super convenient; I was able to order and pay on the site and pick it up at the store with no problem. They let you put a ton of stuff on your burger and the staff is working fast to get everyone's orders out in a timely manner. I ordered the cheeseburger and I topped it with a ton of stuff: lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled onions, mustard and ketchup. The cheeseburger is a double patty and they are extremely generous with the toppings (there were two thick slices of tomato on my burger and I was pretty pleased). Burgers are cooked well done and are substantial- I ate half of mine and I was full. The taste was okay- better than a place like Burger King, but don't compare it to a place like Company Burger. I also got an order of "little" cajun fries, which was a super generous portion, and more than I could get through. I did, however, have a few complaints: the fries were SUPER spicy. I like spicy food, but the spice was overwhelming to the point that I couldn't even taste the fry itself. Also, the fries were a bit soggy. I'm not sure if this is because I got a "to go" order and they sat in the bag on the drive home, but they were a little softer than I like. I'm giving three stars with some room for improvement. The food is a little pricier than your average fast food place, but I think it's worth the money considering what you get. When I go back I will probably get the "little" cheeseburger and the un-spiced fries just to compare. The Five Guys concept is winning customers who are exasperated by places like BK and MD. Those two brands can't even get orders correct. And worse, they don't care. The Five Guys on Manhattan has NEVER made a mistake on (at least) 10 visits. The fries are delicious and the burgers put these other places to shame. The staff is not standing around, on their phones, picking at their hair or worse. The fact that FG gives the fries the lagniappe treatment is stellar. Their competitors can barely FILL A CONTAINER with the correct portion of product...let alone fill it with product that has integrity. The businesses that "wrote the book" on fast food have slipped into oblivion. It's no wonder that FG is profiting from the ineptitude and apathy of the old guard of choices. Hey, in all my 5 guys experiences, and there have been many, they have only messed up the order once. they're great over there, and the food is consistent. the only thing i don't like is how inconsistent the "extra fries" are when you order a large. my boyfriend and i (and sometimes my friend who will eat with us) usually split a large fry, but we usually order a small fry too, as back up, because sometimes they don't put enough extra fries in the bag for us to split. also, they've been out of barq's root beer on a few occasions, which is a bummer. other than that, they're pretty spot on.. the prices are a little more than i'd like to pay, but you're getting fresh food, cooked to order. it all balances out. the staff is friendly. the restaurant is clean. it's a great option for "fast food," since the other options are usually consistently terrible! so glad to have a 5 guys on the west bank now! read more

As hamburger places go this is a real treat the french fries are just absolutely fantastic and you can have a hamburger anyway you would like it, my favorite is grilled onions two pieces of hamburger meat with a lot of mustard and that's hamburger heaven and they have it. I finally decided to swing into 5 guys last week. I'm glad we have one on the West Bank they really hit the spot. I was craving a burger the entire month. Everything was running the way it was supposed to. It's still super clean considering it's in the West Bank. I am definitely coming through more often. I don't know how anyone can eat the regular sized burger. I had to grab the little burger and I barely had room for medium fries. I probably ate a total of 5 fries before I had to discard it. We first had Five Guys in Mississippi and loved it so we were thrilled to find out the westbank was getting one! The food is delicious and the portions are huge-seriously, do not get separate orders of fries if you go with someone. Our family of three all shared one large order. You can get them plain or with cajun seasoning. Word to the wise- the regular size burger comes with two patties. Get the "small" if you only want one patty. We didn't know that on our first visit and neither of us finished our burgers. Also, all of the toppings are free! Add as much as you like and there is no upcharge. Oh, and the large portions also carry over to the delicious milkshakes. There is only one size and two people could likely share that as well. They have a variety of flavors but I always stick with oreo. I believe they also serve grilled cheese, hotdogs and BLTs. read more
